Jaender runs through the doors, following the wolf's lead. He is dismayed when he sees the dead halfling, and the now gone dretch, realizing he could have saved done time going that way, instead of around.
Nothing he can do now, so he continues to pump his stubby little legs, going for the broken window he sees strong brute heading towards.
Double Move - again... ugh. I've got a bad feeling about this. The timing couldn't have sucked any worse to get surprised, and with several apparently summoned monsters on top of that. This is going to feel like pulling victory from the jaws of defeat if we can get through this without anyone dying...

Oh, I'm floating again. Why does my side hurt? I sure hit that demon - or was it a devil? - thing pretty hard. Heh. Made my blade smell, though. Hmm. Think I'll call it 'Stinkfist' now. Hey, what strange music is playing in my head now? Kinda good... if a bit dated. Man, I think I remember what happened! Those dead things who were dead but now live, so to speak, are probably trying to eat me... right now! Oh boy, I sure hope Strong Brute - such a strange name for oneself - gets over his nausea and comes to help. I'm pretty much f*cked otherwise.

It will take a Acrobatics DC8 Check to move through the window -- failure makes it a move action. It was a large picture window, but you'll need to get up and over the sill. Easy enough, but...
These are not your ordinary zombies, but instead are Juju Zombies, which retain the skills they had in life.
They are still undead, and are resistant to damage and magic. You believe that it will take magic slashing weapons, to bypass their DR, they are immune to Magic Missiles, Cold, Electricity, and are very resistant to fire. Plus the normal undead traits.

Barely able to stand, the youth trudges forward on wobbling legs. He calls for Einhardt to move ahead, though the wolf doesn't seem to be faring much better. As Vox rounds the nearby corner and enters the room, can see his companions ahead and the wolf another thirty paces forward.
Still sick to his stomach, he wonders how long with terrible feeling will last.

The brute flees to the broken window and the help of his other friends, knowing that only certain doom awaits him if he remains in the courtyard. A few coughs still wrack his large frame as he stumbles along, trying not to be sick as he runs.
Acrobatics to move through window: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Will attempt to withdraw, if possible. I don't think it is possible, honestly.
GM Silbeg
|
Unfortunately, as I was checking, withdraw is only a full-round action (or partial action) -- does not work with only a move. However, you could use acrobatics to avoid an AOP, assuming you didn't have medium armor on. Sorry... But, I would think you would want to rage... they are hitting with impunity, anyway, and the extra 12hp might save you! I am going to assume you rage (the nauseated condition does not preclude it!). However, I am confused... it looks like in one place on your character sheet you have raging vitality (and your raging HP would indicated that), but I don't see it in your feats? Definitely do not rage if you do not have the feat.

Vox hurls one last time, and then the feeling passes. He still cannot get the taste out of his mouth, but at least he feels almost normal again. Einhardt is not so lucky.

I am going to assume for the moment that Strong Brute rages, to take advantage of his Raging Vitality, and that he has it. He does provoke running away
The zombies seem to relish their new found freedom, and the joy of battle. The first tries to sunder the Strong Brute's scythe, just to rub in their superiority. This does provoke an AOO from the Strong Brute, even though he is nauseous.
AoO Strong Brute: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 damage: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (1, 4) + 7 = 12 His scythe cuts cleanly through the dessicated corpse, but not enough to drop the zombie.
AoO Sunder Scythe (CMB vs CMD): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Amazingly, a zombie finally misses.
The other then attacks
AoO: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 A brutal slash hits the barbarian, and he barely gets away.

Running as fast as he cans the heavily armored nagaji launches himself towards the picture window. A loud crash can be great throughout the temple. Followed by a "qqqqquuuuuaaaaccckkkk!"
Halfway through, he sticks in midair, caught on the glass.
"um I seem to be stuck. Can I get a push? Or maybe a pull?"
He begins to scissor kick his legs and thrusting his arms in a swimming motion, but he doesn't budge
He begins to pump his legs like he is climbing stairs and falling his arms, but the glass holds fast.
He begins to twist, arm over arm, foot ove foot, groaning, straining, huffing the entire time. Once he is halfway around, the glass begins to splinter. The cracks grow larger until finally the glass shatters and it spills the nagaji onto the floor. Picking himself up he rushes forward, ready for battle leaving a trial of gass behind him.

Used a standard action to load a regular bullet last round and a move action to move next to the window
Roudantaimi remembers the same what Ophiuchus mentioned, wounding them efficiently would require a sharp edge on the weapon - a quality very untypical in firearm bullets. Despite this, the zombies are approaching, and apparently are very efficient with their blades. Thus, the gnome aims his pistol at the first one visible from the window, and fires. Feeling only slight regret using his Lady's Smite just earlier...

I think Vox is feeding Einhardt. That's nice. Never tried to strike up a conversation with the wolf. Maybe I will if I ever wake up from this weird dream. Did someone shout "quack" earlier on? Surely not. Then again...
At least the Strong Brute will have matters in hand. He's fearless in the face of danger, and can take all the attacks those things can dish out. Though, he was hurling up food that should have long ago been digested. He might not be feeling up for fighting such creatures.
Oh, oh, dear.
Perhaps this will be my last dream before I finally feel Desna's embrace. Perhaps not. Maybe she's deserted me - maybe that's why this is happening! Oh, Desna! Please, do not forsake me! I know I complain a lot, but I want to live!

Roudi fires at the Zombie next to the window, but misses, at least in part due to being distracted by Poochie's quacking. The ringing retort just behind his ears causes the nagaji to pull up on his swing, also missing the scythe-damaged zombie.
Sven retreats, still not believing that he cannot clear the taste of the damned creature's flatulence. Vox and Einhardt run down the corridor, hoping to circle around behind, saving their companions. Vox does see one of the zombies coming towards him, murder in his cold, dead eyes.

Sorry, I guess I got confused on what round it was! My bad...
Jaender witnesses the clash and futile swings meeting at the window. Cursing his luck that he couldn't make it through, he decides to see if his fire is stronger than their resistance. Pointing his finger carefully over Roudi's shoulder and under Poochie's armpit he fires off a ray of searing fire to the midsection of the undead beast.

The bolt of fire weaves its way between Ophiuchus and the window, hitting the undead creature square in the face. Rotting flesh singes and burns, but not as strongly as the wayang sorcerer would hope. However, he did apparently hurt the creature, who screams from dessicated lungs.
The scorched zombie then attacks Ophiuchus with a mighty overhand chop of his nodachi, the withered skin on his hands cracking under the strain of the force being applied. The valient oracle takes a severe blow to the shoulder, and he shudders under the strength of the impact.
nodachi: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 damage: 1d10 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Then the second zombie in the courtyard moves up to attack, also swinging with incredible violence. The duck-warrior avoids the blow, most likely due to still reeling from the previous hit.

The zombie in the hallway charges forward, also wielding its nodachi in a powerful overhand stance. The youth's luck holds, at least for the moment, as the blow goes wide... Vox is sure that it would have been a crippling strike.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Poochie was still concerned for the normally stoic Strong Brute, and kept looking back for him. That, and the gun that kept on going off in his ear. This all caused him to miss once again.
Then the zombies try to hit him. The first zombie seems the worse for wear, and misses the nagaji. Again, the second came extremely close to removing the duck-warrior's head from his shoulder, but again his armor barely holds. The noble warrior-priest of all things mallard barely keeps his feet.
