After explaining what you've discovered, she brings in scholars and you all get to work figuring out what you're up against precisely and where you need to go to stop it all.

After much discussion and debate the conclusion is that Allevrah is down in Orv. That's the deepest and nastiest of the Darklands. The Drow level you were on earlier is rather more akin to a kiddie park compared to Orv. You will have to go to a place called 'Land of the Black Blood' and find out the locations in which she is carving glyphs which will cause the new skyfall.

You are given some instructions on how to get down there, and are pointed to a guide, a shaitan who dwells down there named Haiten Bhaq.

You will need to determine how you want to get down there exactly. Also before you go the Queen pulls out her credit card and says you can each load up on potions or scrolls (or other magic items of a unique nature- no stat stuff of course and I will review requests) to the tune of 10000 GP each.

Wait. So we're given directions how to get there but we need to decide how to get there?

Yes. It's a bit of a long voyage since you're got to trek down through the upper levels of the darklands.

If you can think of shortcuts, it's probably a good idea (magical and such).

Is teleport from one the the court mages who is familiar with the area an option?

While I like that idea, this is the bottom level of the darklands. Not many people are familiar with the area (visiting there and coming back to tell of it, is a very rare thing).

However if you think about that idea a bit more, you might find a solution.

Greater Invisibility (14 rounds); Haste

This is my proposed shopping list: (let me know if anything is not available)
4500 First Aid Gloves (I recommend these to everyone)
1800 Wand of lesser restoration (20 charges)
750 Oil of Daylight
750 Wand of cure light wounds
750 Wand of cure light wounds
750 Wand of endure elements
150 Wand of remove sickness (10 charges)
150 Wand of keep watch (10 charges)
150 Wand of remove fear (10 charges)
150 Wand of unbreakable heart (10 charges)

As far as getting down to the bottom of the Darklands: Is there any permanent gate to that level that we can find on another level? I mean they must have a way of going back and forth between the levels so we just go to the level above the last, find the gate or stairs down and go to the bottom. We're pretty good at sneaking or using the disguise to get by, heck even riding the gecko things again down the rabbit hole.

You folks took an elf gate to get out of the Drow zone. However you don't have the drow skin option for use again, and it may well be guarded.

I think we have some of that bad drow lady's old possessions right?
Isn't there a thing we can do to find her/teleport nearby using that?

Although I have to say I like the idea of us all grabbing riding lizards and just doing a high-speed chase all the way down.

Those first aid gloves do look pretty cool.
I'm thinking so far I want an Amulet of Mighty Fists (elf bane), a few potions of Fly, a potion of Invisibility, and a few Whip Feather Tokens.

While that is an even better idea than mine (classic scry and fry), as she's a high level caster, Mind Blank is pretty much mandatory if you're not a fool, and that prevents scrying.

However the idea is solid.

My personal favorite is the Tree feather token because they're hilarious.

I agree on the first aid gloves, even if they sound like they were designed for glam metal. It clashes with Ulthars power metal style.

I'm looking at a few potions personally.

  • Glam Gloves (4500)
  • Tree Feather Token (400)
  • Wand of Heroism; 25 charges (3000)
  • Potion of Barkskin x3 (900)

I have 1200 leftover though. Any other suggestions? Ulthar could pull back-up healer duty like he did in the game I originally made him for with an Infernal Healing wand.

Infernal healing is better charge-for-charge. We'd only have to rest for 15 minutes or less to heal everyone back to full that way.
If we all bring trees we could have a hilarious instant forest. Or grove. Copse maybe.

Wracking my brain for a quick travel solution.... Alas my character is WAY smarter than I

You have a location and some description of a person you are to meet.

Scrying is available from one of the court mages.

Can we bind an earth elemental and burrow the whole way down?
