Hi everyone!

Feel free to discuss anything worth discussing here! And while you are at it, add a masterwork weapon and armour (no full plate, a potion of Mage Armor for those without proficiencies, a shield if you want one) of your choice and a potion of CLW on you sheet for the Action-packed Intro Sequence! (Think James Bond. :P)

Also, while not absolutely required, writing in third person and present tense is preferred.

Human Gunslinger 4; Hit Points 29/29; AC 17/12/15; Initiative +4; Perception +7; Fort +4 Ref +7 Will +2

Raring to go!

Female Half-Orc Martial Artist Monk 4; HP 21/34; AC 21/17/18; Initiative +2; Perception +10(+12); Fort +7, Ref +7, Will +8;

One potion of mage armor, coming in hot! Glad I took dodge.

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

I'm all for action! Zoom!

HP 10/41, Initiative +1, Perception +9, AC 21, F +8, R +3, W +5 (+2 to saves v poson, spells, spell-like abilities) Dwarf Cleric 1/Fighter 3

I was good...

No, wait.

Fukarth is good to go.

Female Human Bard (Geisha) 4; HP 28/28; AC 11/11/10; Initiative +1; Perception +7; Fort +3, Ref +5, Will +4; +4 against bardic performance, sonic, language-dependent effects; +2 against charm and compulsion, +1 against mind-effecting

Ready to go!

Well, if you are all ready to start then we might as well... start.

Please make sure that you have your HP, Initiative, Perception, AC and saves in your header. (And update them when they change.)

Gameplay thread is up!

Also, I feel like an ass asking this, but would it be possible for Fukarth to change from field plate to half-plate or banded mail? They just don't give something that expensive to drunken dwarves...

Female Half-Orc Martial Artist Monk 4; HP 21/34; AC 21/17/18; Initiative +2; Perception +10(+12); Fort +7, Ref +7, Will +8;

I want to point out that if it's vision based, my perception goes up to +10-- and I have darkvision, which might negate the fact they even get to stealth to begin with?

Go shoot these, uh, dudes, guys! I'll wait here reclining. Take your time.

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

Gotta do my gear! Waaah.

It's sound based. These guys creeped by while you all were watching on the other direction. :P

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

I may have to see if someone better at this than me can help with Ka'ta's gear - I'm currently posting exclusively from my phone, which makes redoing sheets a real pain. >< We'll see how I fare.

Human Gunslinger 4; Hit Points 29/29; AC 17/12/15; Initiative +4; Perception +7; Fort +4 Ref +7 Will +2

Just realised an error in my stats, should be wis12 and cha14, forgot to swap them round in herolab when I chose the archetype.

He's definitely more of a charmer than a wise one.

Swapping now, hope that's okay GM?

Absolutely not a problem.

Since half plate is actually more expensive than field plate, I'll assume that it is too expensive as well, and go with banded. And here I was, all excited to have a -4 acrobatics check.

Updating....

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

Dwarves are for clanking.

Field plate is 1200 gp. Half-plate is 600. :P Though, with your Dex there is no reason for you to go plate over banded.

Female Half-Orc Martial Artist Monk 4; HP 21/34; AC 21/17/18; Initiative +2; Perception +10(+12); Fort +7, Ref +7, Will +8;

I'm thinking you should probably take an "action" Fukarth or at least hash out what you want to do in case something happens so that those of us without dice luck don't have to wait longer to get to do anything.

Just sayin'!

EDIT: Oh snap! Coluber and Fukarth might be online at the same time! I'm rarin' to do somethin'!

You know, I just noticed that I totally messed up the initiatives and perception rolls. :P Sorry, I was quite tired when doing them. It was actually Fukarth who won initiative. Sorry, FF, I keep screwing you over.

Because of my total failyness, I'll just say that surprise round ended and you can all act on Fukarth's Init. (That is, now.)

My mistake, Hero Lab has field plate at 400. They're usually pretty reliable.

The stats currently posted are with banded.

Keep it up!

My damage rolls so far have been so unkind. I'm also lucky to have a DM who is unafraid to put two people within pummel range of an angry monk. Why the hell did I buy a greataxe again? My hands are greataxes. So are my feet. If the dice are any indication, my face is also a greataxe. I am a walking greataxe.

Also, thanks for remembering the shaken on the attack rolls. Minor conditions are usually forgotten in my face-to-face games.

And hopefully if I get the one on the ground and they're not unconscious they'll fail by 2 next turn and stay there.

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

I love how you write for her, too. :) Definitely want to emulate this with my many Monks! Also, monks are op. Discuss. Haha.

DM Note:

Make the rest of the encounters more difficult.

Also, you have survived your first encounter! Woohoo!

I'll move things on when I'm less sleepy. Meanwhile, you can admire your shiny new experience points in the campaign tap.

Priceless.

My number one fear was that I was going to roleplay being rude as hell and then get into a fight and be useless. I really dislike characters who can't carry their weight and are well, Charisma 8 defined, so I'm glad we started with a fight so I could decide how rude I wanted to be based on my performance. I figured I'd do okay and get to be a bit rough around the edges. Instead I blew two people up with the power of angry fists. Negative charisma online, irritation channel locked in and engaged.

That reminds me that the two people I pummeled down were partial nonlethal, so they shouldn't have bled out or anything like that. There was some text referencing something like it but I forgot to mention it. They're okay! Woo.

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

Well, to me, Charisma 8 doesn't mean being unlikable. Sure, you're rude or whatever, but some people might find that endearing. All things being in the eye of the beholder and stuff. :) I like to play dwarves, so I suppose I find the gruff and brusque amusing rather than offputting. Charisma can also be a measure of social aptitude, and well, as a gamer, I'm afraid I've gotten quite fond of many a generally socially inept person. (And plenty of people are fond of me despite my various foibles, lol). It could also mean you're not the most attractive thing on two legs, or you're just boring. Ka'ta has Charisma 8, but that's more because she's strange and quiet than rude. Just depends on how you flavor it. :)

Equipment time!

First of all, I hate tracking stuff like shovels or sewing needles, so if you need something, if it is not terribly expensive and having one would make at least a little sense while camping, you have it! Simple, isn't it?

You can keep your armor and weapon, and in addition you get:

  • Anything you need to properly use your skills or class features.
  • Another masterwork weapon. (Ranged if you had a melee one, melee if you had a ranged one.)
  • A sensible amount of mundane weapons.
  • 5 potions of Mage Armor if you can't use armour.
  • Three potions of CLW.
  • 250 gp's worth of magical consumables or crafting materials.
  • 75 gp's worth of Alchemical substances
  • A wondrous item worth 250 gp or under.
  • A picnic basket.

In addition, the party will get a common happy stick, and enough whisky for the whole trip. (Fukarth has connections.)

HP 10/41, Initiative +1, Perception +9, AC 21, F +8, R +3, W +5 (+2 to saves v poson, spells, spell-like abilities) Dwarf Cleric 1/Fighter 3

Darn right.

You put some emphasis on can't-- does that mean I don't get them? I could wear a chain shirt. It'd just turn off a few of my abilities. :P

Free stuff! Woohoo!

Sorry, I should have written: "if you are not proficient".

Just letting you all know, tomorrow, I'll be getting on a plane to the US. So there will be a huge gap of time where I will most likely not be online. I might check in from Beijing, but I can't guarantee it. Also, I'll be in the states for about a week, and I'm sure I'll have internet at various points, but I'll also be moving stuff and visiting friends, so I might not be available quite as much as I have been. Aside from my day in the Beijing Airport I should manage once a day just the same though!

Unfortunately, no! I live in Thailand, just flying through. And I'm American anyway! ;)

  • Anything you need to properly use your skills or class features.
  • 1 scroll box, 1 Vile of Ink, 10 Pieces of Parchment, 1 unit of sealing wax, hammock and blanket, bar of soap, tea and tea set, 4 days worth of trail rations, 2 doses of common perfume, waterskin, common backpack, journal, thieves' tools, and a whistle.
  • Another masterwork weapon.
  • Masterwork Light Crossbow
  • A sensible amount of mundane weapons.
  • 10 Light Crossbow Bolts
  • 5 potions of Mage Armor
  • Three potions of CLW.
  • 250 gp's worth of magical consumables or crafting materials.
  • 1 Scroll of Comprehend Languages, 1 Scroll of Detect Secret Doors, 1 Scroll of Expeditious Retreat, 2 Scrolls of Magic Aura, 1 Scroll of See Alignment, 1 Scroll of Share Language, 1 Scroll of Unseen Servant, 1 Scroll of Youthful Appearance, and 1 Scroll of Obscure Object.
  • 75 gp's worth of Alchemical substances
  • 2 uses worth of meditation tea
  • A wondrous item worth 250 gp or under.
  • Sleeves of Many Garments
  • A picnic basket.

Okay, I wanted to make sure everything there was okay. I put the basic adventuring stuff under the first bullet if that's okay. I figured we would have basic stuff like a a backpack and waterskin, etc. Let me know if I messed anything up.

Thats terrible. Do it again.

Spoiler:

Not really.

Also, what is that scroll of Youthful Appearance for? :P

Not really sure, sometimes I like to take things just in case. Never know what sort of situation we may get ourselves into.

LOL this is why you carefully vet your druids to make sure they're actually wild druids. :D

A druid who doesn't know anything about nature. :P

Seems like Song is the only one who can save you from impeding fiery doom.

Also: Fukarth, Ka'ta and Gorvy, you still need to pick your gear.

F Human (Mwangi) Druid (Urban) 4

I know I know! I will do once I am not freezing my butt off in China. :D

Human Gunslinger 4; Hit Points 29/29; AC 17/12/15; Initiative +4; Perception +7; Fort +4 Ref +7 Will +2

I'm visiting (looking after) my grandfather, so I don't have my sheet (well, my laptop with herolab on).

I'll be able to pick it up on Monday or Wednesday, then I can add gear.

I'm tempted to mess with Gorvy a bit, if you don't mind... I'd like to up his int and cha, cut his wis and fiddle with some skill allocations?

I've not played a gunslinger before: mysterious stranger seems more like 80% attitude 20% gunplay.

Female Half-Orc Martial Artist Monk 4; HP 21/34; AC 21/17/18; Initiative +2; Perception +10(+12); Fort +7, Ref +7, Will +8;

12 damage-- enough to almost kill the average commoner (11-13 con means 3 to 4 hp, so -8 out of 13 or -9 out of 11). So I hope you understand that Imperia is understandably frustrated-- she's just been goombah'd by a man with an ocelot. Out of nowhere. Who seemed pretty ambivalent about his actions.

Do I get a reflex save for the falling damage? :D
