Anthony Krast: - missed your feedback at first, here 'tis:
I saw no big problems with your application - the aversion to those with bestial features would have made parts of the AP / party interesting but wasn't a show-stopper. I'm also always a fan of a dwarf who decides to put functional decoration in their beard.

In the end I decided to go with an almost completely Ulfen focused party - with a token Orc thrown in for colour.

For Kelgar: There is a Golarion Deity of the Dwarves (IIRC) has Waraxe as their Favored Weapon.

Or DM-VotV could have Weapon Familiarity give proficiency in the Weapons instead of making them Martial Weapons.

Kagehiro: - I liked your application alot and was this close to having you in the group. The only downside I saw was the Charisma dump - as even knocking back your Strength to 19 would have gone a long way to flattening that out. But that didn't lead me to putting you to one side.

In the end... you lost the coin flip. I had yourself and the Barbarian ultimately chosen and couldn't distinguish between the two - so I let fate decide.

That's pretty reassuring, honestly. I actually had dialed back on his Strength in his more "updated" sheet, but the stats weren't my concern in the end. I thought the lack of a posting history was going to be a big detriment to my chances (kinda like trying to get credit with no credit). That it was the result of a coin flip at least affords me a sigh of relief in regards to not just horribly botching something up in the creation process.

On the other hand, that's one more notch in the ole grudge against karma.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I've had to choose between 30some applications before and I know its just comes down to totally subjective stuff. Glad to know I almost made it, kinda peeved I went with wolf instead of a different animal. Was originally gonna go lion, but that doesn't really fit the whole Norse thing. Though maybe there were still lions in Europe back then...dunno.

Just now getting back to it, and I admit I am also curious: was there anything particular that held me back on this one? I have some guesses, and can infer a few things based on others' feedback, but I'd be interested in your take, VoV.

Gellwyn:

Ultimately the background and personality didn't really grab me enough. There could have been a bit more information of how she makes her way in Ulfen society after being freed; and I thought the death of the father could have been a little more thought out.

Ahh. More followup, then. Ok. As mentioned, it was all kind of off the cuff; I admit I had other things on my plate and didn't really go back to fluff things out more or fill in gaps. I kinda left things somewhat open-ended and I have a habit of trying not to be too specific with names, places, and events, since that's all very subject to change; I hate having to retcon later when someone says "wait, that's not right." But that helps.
