Fair enough - the CLAW jumped on Ushari but the creature failed to penetrate her snazzy new armor. I'll correct her HPs before the next update.

FWIW - I went by the FF AC listed on your character sheet which says '15'. :)

Help me to help you. Help ME to help YOU...
And you had me at 'hello'. :)

ACK!! I forgot to update her FF AC...can ye eveah forgive me? I'm not worthy....I'M not worthy....I'M NOT WORTHY!!

If you're not worthy... that means I get to be Alice Cooper in this scenario. SWEET! I love Alice!

Feed the CLAW!

As I understand the rules, your conjured blade cannot harm this creature.

I'm curious to which rules you are referring - those of the spiritual weapon, or the construct? I'm just curious, and trying to improve my knowledge of the system.

P.S. ---> Can't Sleep, Clown's Will Eat Me

Update: I just realized (with Strae's post) that it is a golem, not a baseline construct, and golems are immune to magic. Question answered.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

I'm talking about the rules for Golems, (Ice Golems specifically). I'm learning the PF rules myself, so we periodically discuss how the rules are supposed to be interpreted. Sadly, I am not all-knowing. :)

In this situation, according to the description of the Ice Golem, any spell which allows SR (such as Spiritual Weapon) can't harm this guy. Most magic is pretty useless, but that bit is specifically on point, I think.

STONE-FACED KILLA

High Fives all around, guys! Nobody broke a 4 on their attack rolls!

RUN IN FEAR, BLUE LIGHT-THINGY!

Ummm, you forgot that paragon of coolness...(drum roll please....)

STRAEHAN!

(Actually he would be more a paragon of fire, he he.)

Hurray for picking spells with no attack roll! It lets me look cool (and hot).

WARNING....WARNING....WARNING....

Incoming Avatar Change....

Run for the Shelter, he he.

HP: 51/79 | | Anatomist (+1 to confirm Crits) | | Fav. Enemy +4 = Humans, Half-Humans, Undead

I like it - the previous one seemed to be in a constant state of shock.

On an unrelated note, LOL - How did I forget that Straehan used to be a vampire, in Limbo! Ah, those were the days...

Heh...yeah this was actually the original Avatar when Ushari was in a Second Darkness game which died...I then changed it to the 'shocked' look for a 2nd PbP game. After that one died, I brought her into Isles, but kept the avatar...until now, he he.

Straehan...also was Lureene's lover briefly in Limbo, he he...too bad he remembers NOTHING of that!

Yes, that was a difficult memory to unlearn... lol. <--- Mors

STONE-FACED KILLA

I like the change, too. Much more 'adventurey'. :)

STONE-FACED KILLA

Also, I updated the fresco memory and the convo with the Gray lady on Jayse's memorable moments section. (just fyi)

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

I'll be tossing it on my list as well so you have it as a reference point.

I wasn't actually vampiric in Limbo... I just expressed more of Dad's draconic traits - fangs and serious 'appetites' in addition to the claws. :)

Heh...coulda fooled me...

That's because I am too cool for school.

Those Twilight vampires and werewolves say "now that dude is the bomb."

STONE-FACED KILLA

I"m confused... I thought Straehan like fire...

Well, now this is embarrassing...

I was just checking your XPs. With the bonuses for solving the Naladoria mystery (a major plot hurdle), your total is at 15,019. :D Looks like you guys get to be a little more pumped up for the fight against the Crypt Thing. Pity... I was planning on a glorious TPK.

    DING! DING! LEVEL UP, B!TCHES!

You know the drill:
Everyone hold your buddy's hand while we cross the street
HPs are your roll or average+1 for your die type, whichever is higher
etc.

STONE-FACED KILLA

W00T! Rollin' fo some hpz!

1d10 ⇒ 10

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

Damn. Nice roll!

Note to self: Add some more HPs to the Crypt Thing... :)

Wow, a loot divvy, AND a Level Up? Wow, its like Christmas in July, he he.

Anyway, here is how I think loot should be divvied up...

Arcane (7th caster): Charm Monster, Resilient Sphere, Slow Strae

(3) Greater Arrows of Slaying – Dragons, Constructs, Fey same

Ring of Feather Falling Ushari
Ring of Force Shield Strae...yay!
Ioun Stone – Pale Lavender ellipsoid Strae
+2 Handaxe, Dragon Bane Porter (!)...since no one else really uses it, he can use it on loan.

I may as well roll for HP: 1d8 ⇒ 1

STONE-FACED KILLA

Note to self: roll bigger hit die.

Surprise, surprise… monk & Soulknife:
[list]HP: 54 = 42 + 10 + 2

+1 Perfect Strike /day (5 total)
.
Soulknife changes/additions:
Enhanced Mindblade +2
Quick-draw (manifest as a free action)
+1 BAB (affects attacks, CMB, CMD)
.
Monk changes/additions:
High Jump
Purity of Body
.
Skills: +1 Acrobatics, +1 Bluff, +1 Swim, +1 Perception, +1 Perform, +1 Sense Motive, +1 Stealth.
Feats: Combat Expertise (lame, but necessary for tripping combat).

As for loot, I agree with everything Ushari said except for one thing.

If Ushari has the proficiency for it, she should take it. If we end up running into a dragon type, and she runs low on spells, that thing could be a life-saver for her. If she's not proficient with it, then either Jofram or Porter works for me.

I'd suggest Jayse take the Ioun stone, but you have to ready an action to use it, and (excpet for rare circumstances) readied actions in combat for Jayse are missed attack rolls. :)

Jayse,

I checked already, Ushari is not proficient in the handaxe (!!). If Jofram wants to use it, then by all means....I just though he had a cool new TOY to play with, he he.

Working on level up in Rogue/Cleric....

STONE-FACED KILLA

No, thats cool. The only reason I might favor Jofram over Porter is that he does have Quickdraw and that fancy new Efficient Quiver. Meaning if he got in a bind and needed a melee weapon (even one to throw), eh could have it on hand-pronto).

and my fear is that relying on Porter in combat is a shady gamble at best... as he's bound to be a few levels behind us and probably not gestalt. So most opponents might mop the floor with him and then we're just down a bodyguard for the women.

Just my two cents.

Jayse, your points are all valid...I just was thinking of making Porter a little more combat effective, but if Jofram wants the axe, he can have it.

I will wait for Jofram to chime in.

BTW, nice to see Ushari's dice are back to normal :(

STONE-FACED KILLA

Yah, at the end of the day, I don't care all that much as long as we get to sell it if we don't use it. I mean, it's not on Jayse's equipment list either way.

Rogue5/Cleric5 (Favored Class bonus: +1 SP)
HP 30 + (5) + 1 = 36 HP .
Fea:t Mobility
+1 to Acrobatics (5), Bluff (5), Climb (5), Diplomacy (3), Escape Artist (3), Heal (5), Knowledge, Religion (5), Perception (5), Perform Sing (2), Stealth (5); +2 Spellcraft (4)
Class Abilities:
Cleric
Channel Energy 3d6
+2/1 3rd level spells
Domain spells: Fly/Suggestion
Rogue
Sneak attack 3d6
Language: Learn to talk to Skitter

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

I think Jofram can probably cast some of those arcane spells. If he'd like to have a scroll or two, that is fine with Straehan.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

I'd give the handaxe to Jofram over Porter for all the reasons Ben stated. If Jofram can't put the axe to good use in the short-term then Porter could use it until you guys get out of the crypt. That's just my 2 cents... Feel free to play it how you wish.

Yep, I believe Jofram should have the first call to it, but having Porter use it until we get out of the crypt and selling it once we reach Orfallen would be fine by me.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

Ush, what is with your crappy HP rolls?!

I'm stepping with an executive override... you'll be taking the best of these three instead:

1d8 ⇒ 5
1d8 ⇒ 8 <-- WINNER! This your roll for HP this level
1d8 ⇒ 6

HP Roll... 1d8 ⇒ 7

LOL! I think it is calling her "Ush" instead of "'Shari", she is very sensitive about such things...:)

Updated HP total:
old roll: 30 + (5) + 1 = 36 HP
new roll: 30 + (8) + 1 = 39 HP

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

Ushari, unless I'm missing something, I think you need to drop a point in Linguistics to learn Skitter's language.

Oh! What I did was swap the language Halfling for the Skitter language. Let me know if that is OK. If not, I'll add the skill point to Linguistics.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

Eh... that's fine. It's not like you've spoken halfling at all.

Yeah...not even sure she has SEEN one, he he.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

Hey Jofram, I'm kind of scratching my head on your HP.... oops... nevermind, I see your correction now.

OK, so Arcane Bond - you've got some choices here. Tagging Arcane Bond onto a Destiny Item is fine, HOWEVER, its powers are limited. Because this is a DM controlled item, you can't add additional magical effects to it like you would with a normal Arcane Bond item. You can still use it to store spells and it will have all the other Bond-y effects.

So that's one choice. Another choice is to select another Item as a Bond.

Choice #3: You can apply your Arcane Bond to your Eagle. What I'll do is tweak Vaelos to be a hybrid Companion/Familiar. If you are interested in this idea, let me know and I'll start drafting his capabilities.

MINIONS! - I mean, uh, the Companion/Familiar thing sounds cool.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

LOL! It would be the choice, I'd go for. I'll draw up its progression and send it on to you. If you like it - you can have it. Otherwise, you can choose one of the other options.

Oh my…am I in the right game here (checks thread title…) No this is the correct game….oh boy…

OK here are my initial thoughts:

Hmmm, this could turn out VERY badly, especially if that crypt thing drops that teleport burst on us. I do not fancy the idea of all of us being separated like we were before. Fortunately, it only can do it once a day.

Damn, if I had known this was an alchemical golem, I would have memorized Shatter. That would have made life much easier. If I thought we could get away with it, I would say retreat and come back the next day, but I do not think we will get a second chance to get out of here.

I think we need to separate these two if at all possible, which means somehow luring that golem out of the room. Not sure how smart this golem is, but if he is the BG for the crypt thing, then he probably won’t leave his side.

As for Ushari, I think the only thing that could hurt the golem is Skitter. Of course it would only take one good blow to kill…err…disable him. She should be much more effective against the CT, with her channels.

Rat Bastard, Cheeky Monkey, Sly Fox, <insert anthropomorphic animal metaphor here>

:D If this were the other thread I think you are thinking of... not only would you have no time to buff, you'd be facing a pair of Alchemical Golems and this would take place in a local bar. :p

Don't forget to consider all of Skitter's abilities.

Heh...yeah I remember that fight....

Anyway, for the rest of the players, Skitter can imbue a weapon with the Sonic Weapon ability. This sets up resonance in weapon doing +1d6 Sonic DAM per hit.

So...that would prove useful against the golem I would think. Let me know if you guys want that ability for your weapons.
