Unfortunately you have no idea what the creature is, you do remember seeing an image of it on one of the monuments in Magnimar. Oster you sneak down the tunnel further until you can see a glowing chamber.

The room shines with a golden light emanating from crystals embedded in the domed ceiling. The entire dome is painted in reds and golds, depicting the glory days of ancient Thassilon and remain as pristine as if the pigments were just laid. An altar shaped like a seven pointed star sits in the centre of the room-a smaller seven pointed shape has been carved into the centre of this larger block of stone. Sitting in one of the star's arms is a shard of black metal. In this room are 2 strange spider like creatures.

"Seriously, what the hell is that thing?" Memnosyne asks plaintively. "Oh, gods, it shoots webs!" With a wave of her hand and a harsh syllable, a phantom knife of force appears beside her and streaks toward the enemy. casting spiritual weapon

"Time to burn!" Devlin takes a grim look at the situation and unleashes a gout of fire from his outstretched hand into the room hoping to burn the the spiders to a crisp. "Ardens manus."

DC 18 Reflex save for half damage. On a failed save the creature is Dazzled for 1 round.
