That's actually what I ended up doing. I may end up with more HP in the short run rolling, but this is a good method for long-term.

Warrior Priest looks to be a good one if you end up in melee often.

No worries. I have an oracle in another game stuck with using the heal skill to treat lepers. ;)

ah, btw, Mem might be convinced she has the answer, but I'm not sure she's correct. I thought we might even use guile to convince Ayalla(is that her name?) that we can help her open the door so maybe she'll take the damage instead of us. We could even tell her totally wrong ones like 'these tiny eels' or 'shy teen elites' or 'yes lithe teens' or 'seethe in style' (at least I ASSUME these are all wrong). Anyway, it might be worth a shot :)
