Got it. So I believe this means the ball would be in Lady Adriana's court to decide her second domain action?
And/or should I go ahead with the third domain action, which should distract Ghoere for at least for a while?
Lady Adriana should go with her second domain action first. And Medoere won the small war with the spider.

So... this whole time I have been making a serious mistake with oversight. Apparently, at the bottom of the page for your realm is a list of who has what and what levels are available in each of your provinces. I could not be building guilds this whole time, not without fighting a vicious trade war with the established guilds. I should have probably been ruling the law holdings this whole time instead, if you don't mind I will go back and adjust the law holdings instead as it had the same effect and then start fighting the guild wars from this point. I'm starting to think I should find the handbook for the old game and start reading through it when I get a chance.

Yeah, I asked if you wanted to start a trade war with your guild a while back. Good thing we have this cleared up. Trade Wars weren't covered, so we are going handle them as war moves.
Maybe this will keep Ghoere off your back for a while.

Could the earlier research action, which was meant to prepare for this mission, have been used to research the Alter Winds spell and/or find or otherwise acquire one or more water breathing potions for Lady Adriana and a skeleton crew of sea-worthy guards?
Also, can we perform court actions before heading out? Acquiring more information could be useful...

I am having to do a hard thing. The hardest thing to do as a gamer I think. I am having to cut the number of games I am in.
We recently had a tragic death befall the family, on top of an already expected loss. Add to that the youngest having to go back in for a surgery in a few weeks and I will not ha ve the time I need for all the games I am in.
Thank you all for the time we have spent together, and happy gaming.

Ok, Niall needs to ask Eltonj a bunch of domain Q's
1) What did he inherit, aside from the provinces and the law holdings?
a) Treasury (Gold Bars) b) Regency (Stored Points)
2) What about Cale and Cole Alwier? The original says they are 4th level 1/2 elven fighter/mages, and Lieutenants. The class is obviously going to change for PF1 rules. Are they inherited as LT's? If they aren't inherited as LT's, can they be recruited? They are rumoured to be the former Queen's children. Are they blooded? Do you want to stat them out (or should I)?
3)Has my investiture happened yet, or do I need to do that as part of Domain turn 1?
4) How friendly is the eastern Temple of Nesrie? Can I get them to do investitures?
5) How does vassalage work? Are Cale/Cole vassals? (note that the original holdings of aerenwe produce more regency than Queen Lilliene could have collected due to blood score). Can I convert/recruit them to be vassals?
6) What military forces have I inherited (if any)?

Well, all good questions.
A1. High Mage Aelies' sources. You don't have a vast source network, but you control a pretty good chunk of sources in you're kingdom. You also inherit the loyalty of your people, although they all think you are going to be like your (grand?)mother(?). As an Arcanist, probably High Mage Aelies' apprentice, you gain Regency from your sources. So you should have 26 RP starting out. You have a treasury about 30 gb. That's from controlling your provinces.
A2. They can be your lieutenants. One of them is your Chancelor, and the other is your General. They can be blooded, but it's good that they are probably not. If I had access to my Complete Arcane books, I can stat them out for you as warmages.
A3. Investiture already happened. You were invested with both crown and source. High Mage Aelies has retired, along with the Queen.
A4. Pretty friendly. Yes, you can have them do investitures.
A5. Cale and Cole are already vassals, loyal vassals.
A6. The islands are haven for pirates and the Sea Drake. You can't tap them for Sources yet.

Ok, good, I have sources, no need to start a war on that foreign sponger from Ilien on day 1...
With regards to Cale and Cole, I would like to make one or both of them vassals (which if I understand the rules correctly, would require them to be blooded). This is specifically because I have a bunch of law holdings, that I collect no regency from, being a mage. How closely to do you want to follow the original source material.
IMO, neither need actual full up stats (they will be LT's/Vassals, not cohorts for adventuring)...
Cole & Cale
Warmage 3 / Noble 1 ( I assume NPC Nobles can collect Regency from any holding)
Tainted Bloodlines
Cole 4d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 3) = 7
Cale 4d4 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 3) = 9
Skills appropriate to their roles (warleader and administrator respectively)
They split the law holdings of Aerenwe between them, sharing in the larger provinces, and each holds 2 of the smaller provinces entirely..
Originally companions of Liliene, they have become administrators of her army and her court respectively. They have been enfiefed / invested as Barons of Aerenwe as they took upon more and more responsibility for the law in Lilienne's declining years.

Not sure where the table for bodyguard types is. I'd probably prefer to mix them anyways...
They would be fighters or paladins of Nesirie.

More questions.
Skills. There are skills (administrate, warcraft, gather information, lead, etc http://www.birthright.net/forums/showwiki.php?title=BRCS:Chapter_one_Skills ) on birthright.net for 3.5, that overlap with the PF 1 skill system: Profession: Soldier vs warcraft... Another is which of these qualify as background skills?

That could work. I see no reason why you shouldn't have a ranger.

I don't know, I haven't looked at it or worked on it since no one has brought them up in play.

Ok, proposed builds for Cale and Cole Alweir.
HP roll: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1) = 9
Cale and Cole Alweir
These ½ elven twins have become Barons in the kingdom of Aerenwe. They are key lieutenants for King Niall Swordwraith. Originally mercenary warmages, they have been co-opted from the battlefield by the previous queen, Lilienne Swordwraith into more leadership roles. Over many years, Aerenwe has become their homeland.

After reading the 3.5 birthright rules, I realized that they don't need to be blooded, nor vassals, so let's keep their role simple as Lieutenants. Probably the most important thing to know about them is their skill bonuses. I haven't optimized them (ie no skill focuses, etc). I have assumed that K(Regional), K(Local) and Warcraft are class skills, but Administrate and Lead are not.
