You're a dwarf. You should love a good bar fight!
Sven's going to be moving in as soon as I figure out the least ineffective way to do that.

I vote for a charging hurdle the table onto the northern fellows. :)
so says the distant and diminutive gnome.

Lachna's up! Get in there Miss Dwarf.
I was typing it, dude. I was waiting on a private response from GM.

Fair enough.
Also nice (potential) hit.

So is Bugsby going to focus on disruptive spells/battlefield control going forward?

I've been taking certain liberties with updating the map, like prone indicator, grease AoE, and moving the table.
Feel free to tell me to knock it off and punch me in the nuts if you'd like me to stop.

Control is nice and bit more versatile than save-or-lose.
With the amount of smack down Sven/Kalt/Lachna can do, lining up easy kills is a very efficient way of doing things.
A sorcerer casting magic missile and then having the warrior miss does a lot less damage usually than a sorcerer casting grease and the warrior splitting the guy in two.

It's okay, bad rolls happen to everyone. In Sven's case those rolls happen to him through the DM.

It bugs me that Lay on Hands is actually more efficient when used on the paladin himself.
For a class that’s about being a protector and champion of good, you’d think they’d be more designed around helping their allies.
M Human Ranger (Guide) 11/ Horizon Walker 6 | HP 157 | AC 30/16/26 AC 28 | T 16 | FF 24 | CMD 40 (42 vs trip) | Fort +14 | Ref +13 | Will +10 | Init +3 (+lots of favored terrain bonuses) | Perc +24 (+lots of favored terrain bonuses)
You make a good point, Sven. If it cheers you up any, your Lay on Hands won't be as quick on Kalt as it would be if you used it on yourself, but it would be more efficient in another sense: I'd heal 2 points more damage for each die you heal, thanks to my fey blood.
Does that make you feel any better?
The other thought I'd have is it's naturally quicker to put your hand on yourself than on someone else. (Note: I mean that in the most literal sense, and no alternate interpretations of "put your hand on yourself" and whether it's quicker will be permitted at this time.)
Male Ulfen Brawlerdin 17 (hp 219/238) | F +29* R +19 W +24 | AC 37 T 18 FF 34 CMD 44*
That’s a good point but I feel like the additional healing should be a built in feature. Maybe something like, heal yourself as a swift for a 1d6 per increment or an ally as a standard for 1d8 per increment. Eh, just random musings.
It is good to know that Kalt is super healer-friendly. It’s too bad Sven isn’t. I get the feeling he’s going to be earning the achievement for ‘Most HP healed’ by the time we’re done.

Not that I care much OOC, and am not aware of it IC, but what's up with Avora? If you don't mind me asking.
Avora decided if she's going to keep being the target, to hide in a room until the fighting is over :D

Avora is actually hoping to find something that might help her party out.

It is, and his AC is nothing to sneeze at, but that just means I can target you a few more times before you drop. I as a GM don’t view HP as a determent to targeting someone. Truth be told, his HP was a point in his favor when I was deciding who to bring, because he could soak more and I don't pull punches.
I try and view it like the NPC’s would. Avora has little armor, so they shot her, then Sven was barreling down on them so they tried to drop him before he got to them. They haven’t been targeting Bugsby (the other armor light character) because he hasn’t been bothering them. I may be the omnipotent GM, decider of all, but I won’t use all the tactical tricks at my disposal if the situation doesn’t call for it. Makes it more realistic and cinematic that way.
It is actually one of my GM pet peeves when unintelligent monsters use master tactics. A Zombie lurches forward and slams. They do not circle around for a flank bullrush into a spike pit unless a more intelligent thing tells them to.

Aha, sweet.
I know things will likely change, and zero negativity intended here, but I love that Bugsby appears to be holding the door. Don't worry, I got this!
That seems just like something he'd be thinking.
Lachna will probably be posting when she gets home from work.

So by this logic, you'd be wholly supportive of Kalt taking Tribal Scars at 3rd level? ;p
On your larger point - I greatly appreciate the thought that goes into how you're playing the NPCs. That, and the regular, creative posting of many players, is making this a great, fun game.

In an effort to give Mezegis more HP to beat out of Sven, I think I'm going to pick up toughness at 5th.

By extension, and I think you've already alluded to this, having average and intelligent enemies using poor tactics is one of my pet peeves. The super smart wizard who doesn't use his brain to his fullest advantage... blah.
Male Ulfen Brawlerdin 17 (hp 219/238) | F +29* R +19 W +24 | AC 37 T 18 FF 34 CMD 44*
Deflect arrows is looking reeaaaally good right now.
I do find it interesting that all the people near the zombies have piercing and bludgeoning weapons, while most of the skeleton fighters have slashing ones. Silly Kalt went ahead and had multipel weapons, totally negating my perfect split!

I will be so glad when we level and I:
- Get more hit points (though the way my dice have been rolling, it'll probably be 1)
- Get more spells
- Eventually gain the ability to change into something useful, like a bear
I wanted to ask about that. For HP, do we want to run PFS style of half HD+1, or risk dice rolls? Doesn't matter to me any, but I'd like it to be a group decision.
