Rise of the Runelords - GM Pablo (Inactive)

Game Master Stetrix

Something is afoot in Varisia. There have been a series of odd murders in a small town on the west coast called Sand Point and more recently the capital Magnimar, where even the lord-mayor was a target. A cult of serial murderers called the Skinsaw Men was uncovered and stopped. We have also received reports of more activity along the border.

I would like you to go see the lord-mayor of Magnimar. Assure him the Pathfinder society will do what we can to help him. Investigate these goings on and see if there is a common thread to all this unrest. We have a lot of interests in Varisia and would like to maintain the good graces of the government. I doubt the lord mayor will have you sitting around for long. It is a big place and inevitably something will need attention.

So how does that sound? A mission without a precise goal and with no guarantee of coin. Ha! Are you up for it?

During the end of Sekkim's buffs I am going to use Oil of Silence on my Pepperbox.
On my initiative I am going to blast pumpkinheads melon.

Pepperbox one-handed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Pepperbox two-handed: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 241d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Pepperbox two-handed (rapidshot): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 151d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Rolande fires, but his gun jams (Natural 1).

You will need to clear the jam next round or use a different weapon.
At 1st level, as a standard action, the gunslinger can remove the broken condition from a single firearm she is currently wielding, as long as that condition was gained by a firearm misfire. The gunslinger must have at least 1 grit point to perform this deed. Alternatively, if the gunslinger spends 1 grit point to perform this deed, she can perform quick clear as a move-equivalent action instead of a standard action.

Fernleaf - double moves to barn
Sekkimm - double moves to barn

I am going to move up to the barn and open the door.

Well...door is open now...
The barn houses several mounds of molding hay, grain stores, and even a large but crude still. Two catwalks rise up along the walls, leading to doors near the ceiling in the east wall. Lower, a pair of massive doors, boarded over with thick timbers, allow ground access to the room beyond. Several dingy kennels are built into the walls under the catwalks.

Three of younger ogrekin are in here (Jeppo, Hograth, and Sugar)

Hograth is the eldest of these three, a hulking brute with a vestigial arm growing from his left elbow and a no-necked dented head. Jeppo Graul is a big, handsome boy towering over his brothers. His eyes are huge and milky white, and his skin pale as the full moon. Sugar is the shortest of the Grauls, standing barely more than five feet tall, with crooked stumpy legs and constantly twitching skin.

Cela commands Fahari to attack and the cat moves in (double move). She moves in behind the cat.

Fernleaf still invisible moves into position and stabs the Jeppo from a flank (with poisoned blades).

Coup de gras, Crowfood!

Buchart you should be delivering the attack through your sword and only rolling one attack.

The sword attack is the only one I looked at. You don't need to roll to hit with the wand. You are not touching the enemy with one hand and hitting with a sword. You deliver the extra attack via your sword attack.

Anaba splatters Sugar. Roland moves over to Crowfood - Next round he puts a single shot in Crowfood's head (autocrit X4) which kills him dead.

Round 4 - Out of combat
Cela heal checks the dead brothers in the barn and easily confirms they have passed from this world. She channel heals.

Spell through sword= Spellstrike, spell through wand or cast and a sword attack = Spell Combat (with-2 penalty on both attacks i.e. TWF.). The whole purpose of being a Wand Wielder, to use the wand in place of a spell in Spell Combat. If you are limiting my attacks due to movement, then the wand touch should be the one attack pulled off, as it was first.

Ok maybe I misunderstand the magus attacks. I'm thinking all your attacks are delivered via sword.

Stack up in the barn, buffs are burning. Anaba, buchart, bear and kitty on the middle door, rolande and me on the south entrance, shalreu and Cela on the north entrance, those sequences. Fernleaf as you see fit. Rolande, Shalreu, Anaba, check if your door is locked when you get to them.

Shall we give it a good bashing in unison (Str. currently 26)? We do have Anaba's crowbar and Sekkimm's carpentry tools, as well! The tool option might be quieter. What can you see on the other side of the door with your gloves, Fernleaf?

Good thinking Rolande!!! Fernleaf spends a round taking a peek and reports his findings.

The majority of this large, stuffy chamber is covered in filthy webs forming
a funnel that dips down into the ground. A catwalk runs around the rim of
the room near the ceiling, twenty feet above the ground. In each corner,
the catwalk expands into a ten-foot-square platform that’s fenced in by
wooden beams, forming a cage in each corner. The walls within each cage
are hung with iron manacles. Most of the manacles—while bloody—are
empty, but three in the southeast corner imprison emaciated men.
