Once more, Drazh avoided being hit thanks to the advice of the world’s most helpful halfling. As it turned out, the best healer was the kind that kept you from taking damage in the first place, and Creydon was proof of that. Ducking at the last second, Drazh’s return blow was far less accurate than it could have been, and his second was glancing at best...but his third? That one impacted with a solid *thunk* that sent vibrations up his arm.

Drazh got in a single solid hit...and then almost lost his grip on his hammer. He quickly recovered and continued attacking. Against truly skilled opponents, it might have been a fatal error. But these were undead, known more for their durability than their skill at arms. There was still the chance that he would do serious damage to at least one of them.

Do the mummies have some ability to avoid AoOs? Not sure how red, yellow, and green could get past Drazh without provoking. Emriss, too.

Regarding the AOO the Mummies beat them in initiative so Drazh & Co were still flat footed, you can't take an AOO if you are flat footed. Now that said Marten has avoided the AOO provided by casting a spell... but not the one where he is making a ranged attack... however Ferocia went first so I just selected a new target thats near enough to him to keep us going.

Anneka unleashes a wave of positive energy at the oncoming undead to counter the negative energy animating them. Two of the badly injured undead collapses to the ground.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. And I was aware of the AoO for the ranged attack and was willing to take it, but thanks for changing things up so I didn't have to.

With all of the targets of his spell's effects destroyed, Marten't contagious flame spell fizzles out before it can take its final round. Still pleased by its effectiveness, Marten retrieves his wand of scorching ray and fires it at the pink mummy in front of Emriss.

Anneka lays out a small sack of flour to use as a pillow, stumbling upon two discoveries:

1) flour sacks make poor pillows.
2) punching a flour sack pillow is a bad idea.


Seven hours pass by uninterrupted but... then the door opens.

A lone zombie enters but it moves with more grace and cunning than any of it's kind you have seen before, more reminiscent of ghouls you have fought before but it's anatomy is that of a zombie... The bodies of the mummies in the next room can no longer be seen through the door.
