2. Frees up bardic inspiration to be used for bladethirst or inspire greatness.

Thanks! Tonight. We are still in the woods of Fort Polk, but tonight will return to the barracks. Will be busy from here until the 27th, when we will be putting everything away. But can’t wait to wear clean clothes, take a shower, sleep on a bed and eat actual food. :)

@Drazh please be mindful that their is a wall between you and the devil. Closing the gap will be tough with having to go through the door and the difficult terrain.

I suspect Drazh could *still* get to that devil through the wall.


Sorry Drazh, he's quite logical and wont stay in melee with Drazh and Ferocia if he gets a choice in the matter!

When the enemy has strong elemental powers botting Anneka is easy.

Rule question, Kevin: can Marten use a telekinesis spell to pull the ice devil down with a reasonable chance of success? Normally the spell (from a scroll) can move around 225 pounds, while the ice devil's entry says it's 700 pounds. But that's presumably while it's on the ground. In this case, the telekinesis would be vs. the force of the fly spell, not the devil's weight.

But maybe there's something about the fly spell I'm not realizing.

(FYI, Marten's gust of wind spell is fairly useless in this situation.)

How tall is the outside of this building? If this doesn't pan out, maybe Marten can cast spider climb on Ferocia and he can run up the building and jump over to the ice devil.


Marten I think the most reasonable thing we can do is treat it as a bull rush combat manouever but have you move it towards you rather than away.

The buildings' probably about fourty foot tall.

Okay, that's fair. It probably wouldn't do any good, though, judging how ineffectual the non-scroll version was with the contract devil.

And Drazh is too heavy to lift with the spell that's on the scroll.


You guys are one solid hit away from taking him out but he's tough, he's happy to try to stand back and blast ye with ice as sooner or later people will start dropping!

I believe, given the damage received by Drazh and Ferocia before Anneka's turn in initiative to heal, that Anneka is now permanently dead!

Isn't that spell dismissable? Once you were near death couldn't you just stop it?

I mean... with the money that they promised, and that THEY HAD BETTER PAY US, we can afford to get you resurrected, but much better if you stay alive. :)

So, after reading your spell I feel the need to point out that it ends if I'm ever out of range, and considering I was flying around out of range as an owl before arriving here, I don't believe any of the damage to Anneka from Ferocia from this fight against the Erinyes and hounds should have hurt her. Which is 33 less damage to her and 33 more damage to me.

@ GM: I was out of range while flying here, wasn't I? And if not, I insist I was. Ferocia likes to fly really high.

Not sure if/how much that helps. Just throwing it out there...

That's certainly reasonable! Thanks Ferocia. On the other hand, I'm completely alright with character death, as real threats give the campaign teeth! I do have a backup character in mind just in case. It's GM's call.


Ferocia... you're fighting inside a room, it's a big room but I can't see it needing more than 30ft of head room.

...on the plus side you should be getting a lot of money and are in a major city so getting her back on her feet in the next few hours/days is possible... if Anneka wishes to return, sometimes people don't.

Drazh will be sad to lose another friend. Especially when he told her mother that he would do everything he could to keep her safe! But if she wishes to enjoy her final reward he will understand.

A man, this AP is proving to be deadlier than most!

Not in this fight. She's had the spell on well before this fight. She was very likely outside of range after the last fight (that was outside) and this fight (which she flew to ahead of everyone else) which would have meant at the start of this fight she no longer had the spell in effect. At minimum I took a move action here ahead of Anneka and a single move action in her owl form is 60 ft.

Yes! I'll try to pay closer attention to my distance from her in the future, btw. I didn't realize until rereading it that the spell was close range.

You guys do NOT want to know how poorly Ferocia would have treated you for the rest of the campaign if Anneka died here (needlessly due to your greed!). Oh, it was gonna be bad... Haha.

Just to confirm, was Creydon adjacent to Marten for the purposes of the Bodyguard feat? I'm not sure how it works with the third dimension and only 10ft off the ground. Because the AC boost would have made a difference methinks.


I'm not 100% sure but at least that fight is over.

25,000 gold each! Plus we have loot to sell!

Right now I have a +1 Weapon. It is going to at least become a +4. Will wait until we have the exact number after sales, but maybe I can reach +5? Doing so will mean that DR won’t be a problem anymore. And it will mean having a legendary weapon. :D

I've got my shopping list of a few items I need, but a lot of what I need requires time as well as money. In game, we were already in a rush to head after Mokmurian, so it doesn't make any sense for us to linger here, but I have a slew of spells that I need to learn from spellbooks and I want to retrain my specialist school from Evocation to its subschool Admixture.

My point is, after Mokmurian, Marten will need a bit of downtime.

    This is actually an important point... they aren't shirking on paying a cent to us, as far as I am concerned. If the DM says it is all there, I'm good, but if it really isn't, then we need to have a "talk" with the headmaster privately first.

    Question on the pricing for the +2 Chain Shirt Barding.

    Chain shirt is 100 gp, the modifier for being large and nonhumanoid means the price is x4, which makes 400 gp. Then masterwork is 150, then +2 is 4,000, so the total is 4,550 gp. Correct? Or do I do the x4 price in a different order somewhere?

    This question has been FAQed by Paizo. Here's the answer to your question:
