I'd throw brick dust to outline the wee beastie but I'm last in the initiative order. I'll see what everybody else does, but it'll probably be net or crossbow, assuming we can see the thing.

Did we not rest? I might have gotten confused. I had cast 2 1st level spells and used 3 healer's way, I think, if we haven't rested.

No worries. I was probably confusing this with another game. I'll fix my tagline.

Nia spins around, grabbing her own pouch of brick dust and throwing it to one side of Ilryan, trying to bracket her companion between her dust and Garrick's.

If Garrick threw his dust at one square adjacent to Ilryan, Nia will throw her dust into the square next to that.

The dust falls to the ground without contacting any invisible creatures.

Well, that did not work out so well...

Vidar clutches his dagger, his only real means of defense at the moment and makes ready to slash the little fiend if it appears within arms reach.

”Well, it’s clearly too scared to try to stop us as we loot this terrible shrine to this gods forsaken demon it worships!” Nia said it loudly and clearly, trying to goad the little monster into attacking again. ”Let’s see what riches await in the other antechamber!”

She’ll move toward the other side room and will Parry and Riposte if attacked.

Nia's gibe brings no response.

What is everyone else doing?

"Continue to search. I'll watch for the creature."

Ilryan will keep his eyes open (aka readied aciton) and prepare to cast faerie fire.

The other room is also empty of anything save the detritus of ages.

"Empty! Let's get to filling in this despicable fountain so we can go home!" Nia starts moving toward the fountain.

If it doesn't want to attack us, I don't know what to do. Leave again? This is the end of this underground complex, as far as I can tell.

What are you planning to do?

Honestly, I don't know. She's just trying to provoke it into attacking so Ilryan can hit it with Faerie Fire. If this PC was a guy I might have him pee into the pool. Is there anything in here other than the main pool that looks like a focus of worship?

Vidar considers what they saw as they entered the chamber for the first time.

"Well, if blood powers the pool, perhaps the opposite of blood will drain it's powers?"

To clarify, are you talking about the circular fountain or the triangular pool?

I'm talking about the big pool where the sinspawn came out.

Nia looks curiously at Vidar. "What's the opposite of blood?"

The sinspawn came out of the triangular pool.

Vidar grimaces, realizing that his intent to try and bait the Quasit was not obvious in his phrasing.
Struggling to come up with something to salvage the situation he racks his brain for a plausible answer.

"Well, blood is life, and a liquid...so a liquid devoid of life. We need to keep blood inside to live, but there are liquids we expel since we do not need it..."

Ugh, how base! Is that the best I could come up with?

Nia laughs. "Hahahaha! I understand what you're saying now, Vidar." She sweeps her hand at the pool. "By all means. I'll even turn my back if you're bashful."

"This one first, then that triangular one. Let's thoroughly desecrate this unholy temple."

D'oh! But we might as well do both, right?

So, let me confirm: you're going to try to lure the quasit out of hiding by threatening to desecrate (?) a temple to an evil deity (NB: you've found a book of prayers to Lamashtu in the catacombs) by urinating in the font?

Vidar carries out the plan, and nothing apparently happens.

Nia looks back over her shoulder when it sounds like Vidar is done. "Nothing?" She shakes her head and gestures at the smaller, triangular pool. "Would one of you care to do the other one?"

"I'll pass. Perhaps we should just close the doors. It can't stay invisible forever."

"It can't? I didn't know that. Well in that case you're right, let's just wait it out." Nia turns and goes to close the double doors.

Ilryan, when you say "I'll pass," does that mean you will or you won't?

As Nia sets a hand on the door, the quasit appears in the doorway and claws at her. Take 1 HP, and make a DC 14 Fort save or take 1 point of DEX damage.

Ilryan, you can take your held cast action as it appears, but the quasit is close enough to you to get an AoO. No one else can act yet.

I'll cast. (And I'm not defiling anything :) )

The quasit lands a claw on Ilryan while he's distracted casting, but fails to do significant damage. Take 1 point of nonlethal damage, and make a DC 11 concentration check or lose the spell.

What happens next will depend on the results of Ilryan's concentration check, so he's the only one who can act.

Concentration: 1d20 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 4 = 13

Fort save, DC 14: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 I won't bother parrying 1hp damage.

Nia flinches back from the double doors and draws her rapier, lightning fast. "Ow! You little bastard!"

Garrick turns, his eyes darting, looking for the threat.

The now-glowing demon flies off, vanishing down the passageway.

Garrick smiles, "Now we've got us a target - though the wee beastie's faster than I am. How long does the spell last?"

"Two minutes. We should be quick!"

"Well then, move!"

"Dammit!" Nia pulls the crossbow off her back as she runs out the doors after the others.

Garrick does his best to chase the little thing, cursing the agility that wings provide compared to dwarven legs. "Need to stop the thing."

Ilryan chases along as well, looking for the glowing creature.

Please move yourselves on the map. Nia, I think you may be able to get a shot off at it, though if so it'll probably have cover.

Garrick has now double-moved.

OK, I think I have a straight line from where Nia is now.

Nia hustled after the others, stopping to snap off a shot the second she saw the glowing silhouette up ahead.

Nia's crossbow shot hits the quasit, sinking in deeply. It screams in rage.

Garrick grumbles, "Too bad there's no line attached to that bolt., and keeps rushing after the beast.

"It went right, it went right!" Nia continues running down the hall after the little monster, racking a bolt as she goes.

If she gets LoS on it again she'll shoot again. OK, so she can't shoot it this round- she'll run instead. Can I save those rolls for next time?
