Ready to Rock.

Dotting thread...

Ringtail, I took History Buff for Izzy's bonus trait, and finished updating his profile. Let me know if you have any questions or if there are any mistakes.

This is gonna be FUN, he he.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Oh yeah that reminds me thanks Izbahn. Anyone have any questions on Bone Breaker? Kind of kept quiet on him but to tell Ringtail the idea. Also is my character sheet fine? Do not want to have any mistakes.

Female Human Cleric lv3

Yeah for Aboleth! I'm going to enjoy this! ;)

Nuig, I can't see anything wrong with your sheet, but I may have missed something.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Thanks Naomi and it is Bone Breaker, he was raised by Shoanti.

Female Human Cleric lv3

So I should call you Bone Breaker then? I'm okay with that.

Brony Vegetarian Book Worm 1 / Gambler 13 / Zombie Slayer 6

From looking everything over, nothing pops out as out of place on your respective characters. Except for Thorn, who has three spells listed as being known/prepared, but I don't see a full spellbook. He should have 3 more spells known.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Yup Bone Breaker it is this is why if no one has the inner sea guide.

Spoiler:

The Shoanti are given a birth name when born, but once they becomes adults, they are also given a full name it is generally by this honorific (which is always a short phrase) that they are called in everyday life. These full names can change several times during a Shoanti’s life. Birth names are generally used only by close family or lovers. Shoanti who abandon their clan to live among others typically revert to using their birth names as their standard name a practice that many traditional Shoanti find shameful.

Male Human Rogue 12

Dotting... Gonna make a few small adjustments to Thorn's character sheet later when I have some more time. Nothing gamebreaking just equipment and I'll add his spellbook.

Location, location, location.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Well we know that Ringtail learned something in the training camp.

Brony Vegetarian Book Worm 1 / Gambler 13 / Zombie Slayer 6

I should have the game thread up sometime later this afternoon/evening, depending on how busy my work is.

EDIT: I should mention that everyone will be beginning in the small town of Wartle. You'll likely be leaving the town for the Harenshire within a few posts of beginning, so don't worry too much about having ties with the village if you didn't already intend to, but maybe a reason in mind for why you'd be on a brief stay in town so your presence won't feel forced.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Want the reason in the game thread or in this one Ringtail? On another note I have been thinking about changing the Nuig part of his name keep thinking on it and I do not know if it fits with the shoanti I could be over thinking it though. What does everyone else think?

In your background, here, or in the game thread. It is mostly as a service to yourselves. Everyone had such a rich and well thought out background I just wanted to make sure that things didn't feel forced for your characters to be in a small swamp town for no reason.

As far as the name goes, for the Shoanti that I played (see my alias) I just looked up a few native american words and names to find one that would fit. I think his name is fine, but feel free to toy with it for a little while.

Brony Vegetarian Book Worm 1 / Gambler 13 / Zombie Slayer 6

Roll, er- ROLE call!

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Changed his name to Nodin it means Wind fits better. On to why he is in Wartle. He is just trying to find information on dragons or trying to find dragons to study. He just stopped down there while traveling to a reported sighting.

Female Human Cleric lv3

It's amazing how simple it is to have a reason to be in Wartle. My family has sent me from Magnimar to meet this man(didn't tell me why though), even if he has no idea who I am. The Family has ways of getting good information.

Whether Izbahn knows about(or is a part of) Naomi's Family at this point is up to him.

Liberty's Edge

Native Outsider (Aasimar)
Cavalier of the Dragon:
Level 4 / Hp - 48 [48] / Temp Hp - 48 [48] / AC - 21 / T - 11 / FF - 20 / Resistances - 5Acid, 5Cold, 5Electricity / Fort +7 - Ref +3 - Will +3

Aerodus is hunting news of any Undead infestations around the area and has come to the town to get a few days out of the wilderness.

Female Elf (Forlorn) Bard (Archeologist) 1

Tessarayth is probably in Wartle searching for any rumors or stories of ancient ruins or monuments. She also considers any opportunities for making a quick coin, as traveling always takes some of it.

Being from the region, Thorn has visited Wartle on several occasions. As usual, he begins with a visit to the Lean-To and after a few mugs of Bog-Grog, he begins to look for work.

Like Izbahn needs a reason to tag along, he he. Seriously, he does suspect something of the Family business, but I think Naomi has...hesitated to ask him to join it, at least for now.

Spellbook, equipment, and description added. Think I'm ready to roll, let me know if any changes are warranted.

Hehe, that would require a trip back to Magnimar, and a bit of help from Ringtail. If it somehow does happen though, I have got to find that picture I made of here in a red dress...

I am sure we could work a trip back to Magnimar in there somhow...he he.

*blushes furiously*

Looks good.

Night Below is split into three large books. The first is a bit of a Sandbox. You get a handful of hooks here and there, but are mostly left up to your own initiative as to what to do when while picking up clues and information to some more major plot points. The second and third books are a bit more linear where have a more direct purpose. If your characters feel like making the occasional side-trek out of the Harenshire it shouldn't be to hard to work in until book 2 when you enter the Darklands.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Some questions for you Ringtail.

Ringtail:

Forgot to talk to you. When Bone Breaker rages he goes a bit crazy. I am role-playing it that he goes into a berserk rage type state. How do you want to play that? This is why I said that he will not rage much but you know helping people than having them attack you would upset most people. Yes I know I could of went with Wild Rager to do that but well forcing people to deal with a Wild Rager seems a bit rude unless they know you are a good player and that. He will get more control of his rage as he levels though since he gains more experience. So ideas, thoughts, and questions?

Brony Vegetarian Book Worm 1 / Gambler 13 / Zombie Slayer 6

Nodin:
Hmm...I can see that being a difficult issue to roleplay out. I'm sure I could build some sort of mechanical adjustments to give bonuses in some situations and penalties in others, but I'd like not to affect gameplay too much with mere flavor unless everyone involved is okay with it. While we come up with a few ideas what we could do is really play it up in narrative. For example, if you are striking an enemy while adjacent to Aerodus, you could play it off as loosing control/focus and taking a swing at the paladin, who ducks last moment and the earth breaker still cleaves into an enemy on the follow through.

Male Half-Elf 1 Armored Hulk(Barbarian)

Ringtail:

That sounds great until you get something down. Why I had him tell everyone to move if he is next to something while raging he might hit it. I did not want to bother the others to much but they would notice when he rages. I figure by at least level 5 or 6 he would not be in danger of allies though. Thanks for working with me on this Ringtail.

Angry Thorn is angry. And a beast in battle if his good rolls keep up. :)

The paizo dice are biased towards evil :)

Don't worry about it. As I'm sure you recall I understand how frustrating a broken computer can be (stupid roommates and their touching my stuff).

I would like to sincerely apologize for my repeated and prolonged absences. I’ve recently been invited to take part in a rather grand project that has usurped the greater majority of my free time, and between that and my regular work hours I have little energy left over to devote to the multitude of games I am involved in (running several, playing in a few more). It is unfair of me to expect all of you to devote an amount time and effort into something that I cannot match. I’ve enjoyed all of you and your characters and it has been a pleasure to game with you, but unfortunately, after much consideration, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to end, or at least postpone, a few games for the time being. It is inappropriate for me to expect my games to continue smoothly and satisfyingly when I can only make enough time in my schedule to post in each thread once every so often. Seeing as my newest games are my two groups of Night Below, those were unfortunately the ones that made the most sense to drop first (along with a few local table games). I hope that within several weeks my schedule will even out and I will have the ability to devote the attention to the games that I run that you all deserve, and when that day comes, I would like to invite you to continue this campaign.

Female Elf (Forlorn) Bard (Archeologist) 1

Damn. Gameless again :(
It's alright. I'll at least be here when your ready again. And if you find out you can't pick it back up, mind sending me any ideas/notes you have laid out for Golarion Night Below. I have almost two complete boxed sets of this, and wouldn't mind running it myself at somepoint should I get the chance.

My email is under my main profile.

Anyway it goes though, thanks for bringing us this far, and good luck with the grand project!

Ringtail,

I just wanted to thank you for running this game and I will hang around in case you do decide to resume this game.

A small request though: You may want to set this campaign as inactive for the time being. That way if you decide to reactivate it, it shows up under each player's profile again. A good way to let people know you are ready to resume this game :)

Brony Vegetarian Book Worm 1 / Gambler 13 / Zombie Slayer 6

Who is still interested?

The Exchange

Male Human Ranger

Wish I had seen this last month. I am interested, but alas, seems I'm the only one.

I was interested to, but I am in another PbP with Ringtail as DM, so said that there.

Shadow Lodge

If this game had been made "Active" again, I would have shown my interest.

Brony Vegetarian Book Worm 1 / Gambler 13 / Zombie Slayer 6

I did take it off of inactive status back when I posted that, I thought.

EDIT: I just double-checked my edit campaign info section and the "this thread is no longer active box" is not checked. Hm. Odd. Should be active. Maybe it needed a new post in the gameplay section as well to give it the kick back to active status?
