*SHHHHNK* The statues on either side of the trapped area between the two real portcullises once again swing in with their glaives. And once again they strike nothing but the air between them.

"Guiness!" Flo cris out as the demon priestess claw makes him go limp. Starting to panic a little, she does the only thing she can think of to keep their foes away from Guiness. "Colvyn, don't let up!" she says while funneling the butterflies to him instead.

Yeah, I really considered having Guiness stand at the opening of the hallway with a readied attack. But after seeing the hound the last time go after Flo, he tried to be the protector, thinking he could hop over the mysterious floor section and base the hound so it couldn’t get at her...which turned out to be a poor tactical choice given the nastiness of the trap and the unexpected combat prowess of the enemy spellcaster...
| Colvyn "Slick" Dashtail |
Unsure of Kargas plan and how to get in Guiness, Colvyn just keep sending arrows flying toward the enemy. With the dog out of the way and the priestess in view, Colvyn just adjusts his aiming. Thanks to Floredana blessing, the arrow avoids all obstructions and hit the target.

With a thiwp as it skims past a portcullis grid, Colvyn's Desna-blessed arrow finds its mark in the 'priestess''s exposed side. The arrowhead bites in deep and she winces in pain. "Geh. Alright rat. You'll be next."

Yeah...I'm not sure what else I can do at this point, with the second portcullis. I could step into the trap, draw the ranseur and stab, but all she has to do is step away at that point and then I'm stuck with the stabby statues. But holding up the portcullis is just eating up rounds of rage...
With a scream of frustration Kargas steps back and lets the portcullis slam back into place, but then grips the bars with sparking hands and stares wrathfully at the priestess with glowing solid-blue eyes. "I'm going to rip this thing apart piece by piece, and then I'll do the same to you--starting with that ugly arm! Your demon goddess doesn't give a s%%+ about you! She'll send miracles to save you when I tear your throat out!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 End Rage, then starting next round I'm going to start taking a 20 on Breaking the first portcullis.

@Kargas: Keep in mind that taking 20 is not really an in-combat thing as it requires 20 rounds (it's an abstraction of you trying over and over until you succeed).
Botting Kellek
With the illusion seemingly not very effective, Kellek switches to the tried and true application of force missiles, sending another one out from the wand out at the woman.
Magic missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
------
The woman seems unimpressed by Kargas' threats, throwing back "Competing to be the first to die, is it? You'll have to get in line behind the rat." From the protection of the portcullises, the woman raises her demonic claw and utters out "The Mother lays bare your doom!" She points her claw at Colvyn and it flares with unholy light. Give me a will save DC14 vs mind affecting fear effect, on a fail you're shaken for 3minutes. DC16 Spellcraft reveals the spell as 'doom'.
The yeth hound hovers about, waiting for its opportunity.
Guiness continues to bleed out, with only his Hardy dwarven constitution keeping him alive.
Between the two portcullises, the floor suddenly gives way, revealing a 10ft deep pit. And then just as quickly it seals back up again. The portcullises begin to rattle and start to lift, though they're only an inch off the ground as the next round starts.

Forgive me Guiness is it is the wrong one. Calling upon his magical energy and stabilize the dwarf from a distance.

Meanwhile, Rig manages to finally overcome the supernatural fear that was gripping him, though it takes him the remainder of the round to catch his breath and ready himself to return.
The priestess raises her claw at Kargas and spits out "Nualia is dead. That name belongs to the old life. And you disregard the gods at your own peril!" She clutches her claw and a high pitched tones begins to emit from it. Just as she begins casting, Kellek send a magic missile arcing through the air to strike her. While she grunts with the blow, her spell proceeds uninterrupted. (Kargas, give me a Will save, DC15, vs Shatter on your ranseur)
At a thrust of her claw, the yeth hound floats past her to hover in the square above Guiness (you can still stand in Guiness' square while he remains unconscious, and the yeth hound is in the cube above that since the ceilings are effectively 10' high).
The portcullises clatter loudly as they recede into their concealed slots in the ceiling. The illusory 3rd portcullis has faded, so the way to Nualia is clear.

Okay, So now Kargas has no room to chide Guiness—he could have attacked over the trap with reach at the hound, but instead he jumped over the trap to engage both enemies at once!

C’mon, Slick, you can do this! Impale the enemy with your arrow!
| Colvyn "Slick" Dashtail |
With Kargas finally able to engage in melee the enemy, Colvyn gets closer to the big guy. Stretching a hand toward the bloodrager, he touches the end of the ranseur. All of a sudden, the weapon is engulfed in green flame. Colvyn grins for a second. "Give them hell big guy."
Holy Strike (minor): At 1st level, you can touch one weapon and bless it with the power of purity and goodness. For 1 minute, this weapon glows green, white, or yellow-gold and deals an additional 1d6 points of damage against evil creatures. During this time, it’s treated as good for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction. This additional damage doesn’t stack with the additional damage from the holy weapon special ability.

Nualia tosses aside her bastard sword and draws a longbow from her back as her face settles into a cruelly determined mask. She fires an arrow clear down the hallway, underneath the yeth hound and straight into Kargas' lightly armored torso. (Dealing 7 points of damage)
The Hound swoops in immediately after, moving cautiously enough to avoid exposing itself to an opportunistic attack. It moves down to block the charge lane towards Nualia and hovers over the trap's triggering panel. Rig, I noticed you hadn't moved your token. After 2 rounds of running you should now be back on the same map as everyone else. I've moved you there.
Colvyn pulls Kargas back, and Flo sends a wave of positive energy into him. He pulls himself to his feet and stands with new energy. However, even the blessings of Desna's own luck aren't able to overcome his fatigue and the current of fear running through him. His ranseur swing falls short as the yeth hound drifts out of the way.
Pressing the assault, the yeth hound floats directly forwards after the bloodrager. (I've assumed you took Colvyn's advice. Go ahead and take the AoO. Note that you don't have blessing of luck any longer. It also Provokes from Flo if she has her starknife out, though I think she currently has her wand and free hand for somatic stuff) It lunges for his arm this time, and Kargas' fatigue-slowed reactions leave him unable to get his guard up in time. It bites, deep, and tosses him back to the floor once more. (Dealing 16 points of damage and knocking Kargas unconscious)
Nualia lets a small smile slip. "The strongman falls. Lamashtu has seen to it that your futile efforts end here, finally." She eyes Kellek with irritation. "As for you, blabbermouth, I think I'll let the Hounds finish you nice and slowly."

Kargas' retributive strike cuts across the Hound's front two legs, drawing what passes for the creature's blood.
