^_^ made me laugh so much. Unfortunately i'm ruling that this lie is far-fetched (a magical faerie?) and you are trying to bluff him again, both give -10 so your check is actually a 6 unfortunately :(
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

"Who do you take me for? A fool." He opens the door and sees what appears to be Gregor but clearly isn't Gregor, along with others behind him that definately shouldn't be here. There is only one conclusion to come to. The shape-shifter girl. "You might have fooled my guards with your disguise but you did not fool me, Girl."

He begins incanting and before you can react a ball of fire appears in front of him. Pushing outwards with his hands he sends it directly towards Kana.

Kana make a DC 17 reflex save or take 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) = 9 fire damage.

Spellcraft DC 17:

This is the Flaming Sphere spell.

COMBAT TIME
Order: Warden - Kana - Fletch - Declan - Wade - Cole - Avyanna

No surprise round since you both knew of each other. Round 1 starts now. You guys are up. Don't worry about waiting just post your turns and I'll sort it out at the end.

Initiatives:

Avyanna: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Cole: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Declan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Fletch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Kana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Wade: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
Warden: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Fletch moves to within 20 feet (if I wasn't already) and winds up his throwing arm. Don't dish it if you can't take it!

To Cole: I..uhm..distracted him. Your turn.

I don't have permission to move my token on this map :(

Cole will move into the open door and move just to the right of the warden 25' move. Either way he will bring the falcata down on the warden with both hands.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 used guidance from Wade
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Wade charges forward moving around the Warden, dodging the dagger that is swiped at him. Cole and Declan move together towards the warden, Cole scoring a terrible hit to the old man, wounding him severely and Declan seizing him in a grapple. Wade can tell that the old man is still alive and will not die from his wounds, though serious.

Searching the Warden you find:

Potion of Cure Light Wounds
Scroll of Magic Missile
Scroll of Sleep
Scroll of Hideous Laughter
Scroll of Invisibility
Dagger
Gold wizards college class ring(non-magical)
ioun torch

Searching the room you can tell that this is the warden’s well-appointed private bed chambers. There is a fine four poster bed, a full length mirror and an oaken wardrobe. Though the furniture here is of high quality, there is no easy way to get it out. More portable is the Warden’s wardrobe including no less than five noble outfits. This collection of noble finery is mostly elegant silk robes and could fit most anyone.

There is also a sturdy oak chest pushed into one corner of the Warden’s private chambers. Richter has long been meaning to learn a little alchemy and this chest contains his latest purchase. It is a well packed alchemist’s lab. It is also stocked with sufficient chemicals and reagents to allow any alchemist PC to regain the normal use of their extracts, bombs and mutagens class abilities. Amongst it all is Fletch's Formulae book. The warden had decided to become its new owner when he was brought here and has begun deciphering your writing. ooc]Jackpot for Fletch. You get all class abilities back now bar the bombs you have already thrown. Of course you must take time to prepare extracts and mutagen as normal if you do.[/ooc]

Your welcome to lead or come up with a plan anytime you desire. You may not like how things have gone but we are alive. Its easy to question actions after the fact. And the difference in questioning the guards was they were still concious and gave up. I will not waste little precious healing resources on this man. Its bureaucracy. He was appointed here but had no idea how to run such a place so he left it to his Sergeant and practiced his magic. Now we still have a problem getting onto the walls from here. So miss I'm smarter than the rest of you. What plan would you have us follow.

No offense, Coal would not like being called out by someone that was not a soldier. I like that we are butting heads. We should work together but we don't have to like each other. Makes good roleplay as long as we keep it civil :)

I am assuming this is a normal alchemist's kit not a portable alchemist lab (which grants a +2 circumstance bonus on craft(alchemy) checks)?

I didn't say not to question him, only that we will be killing him. After your little speech back inside the main building I figured i'd make the intention clear. I just want to nip any promise-making in the bud or someone might promise the Warden that we'd re-imprison ourselves if he just told the tru-

The prison walls seem to fade as I spot the brand new alchemist's kit in front of me.

A portable alchemist's kit? I'd only heard they had these. Wait does it have...yes! It even has a portable distillery! ...reusable flasks...gnomish centrifuge...i-it's...gorgeous.

Seeing the neatly arranged flasks nearby I promptly begin to create bottled magic. In three minutes, I've prepared three strange looking potions and pocket them. Updated profile with my three extracts prepared: Longshot, Shield, and True Strike

Do we have have another hour before the guard change that will discover our escape? I ask with obvious eagerness.

I am also going to officially turn the remaining lantern bombs into official alchemist bombs. The core book for Alchemist class doesn't specify exactly how long creating the catalysts takes but since most of the work has already been done say another 5 minutes?

Human

It is an Alchemist's Lab(non-portable)

In this special case I will let you 'decommission' the lanterns and instead create normal bombs. You still can only use your remaining daily allotment. I believe you have thrown 2 out of 6 for today.

Gotcha. Yes I have used 2/6 bombs so far. Darn, can't take the lab with me but that's fine. So unless we have an hour to burn for me to make a mutagen I say we just keep going!

I had assumed (non-portable) meant it was bolted down/too clumsy to move. My mistake. I'll drag it into the marsh with us eventually.

Within a disheartening look through the bedroom window at the fading stars, I sigh. Scratch that, there doesn't look to be too much time for me to dabble. Did any of you see a door onto the battlements as we were climbing the stairs? I think Avyanna and Kana's expertise will be the most effective for the guards on the wall. We got away with it inside where there is so much muffling but in the chill night air sound will really carry.

If we can rouse Jack before we leave we should get him or maybe our new servants to carry my lab. It doesn't weigh too much.

"Yes, so much smarter that you neglected to take our former actions into consideration when you suggested afore mentioned plan. Regardless, while I do like the idea of killing everyone here, I'm beginning to question whether we should."

She walks over to Fletch, who is currently fussing over the lab.

"I don't suppose there is anything here we can use to wake him up. Smelling salts or some other concoction that you could make to put him in a question answering state?"

She glances around at the equipment, over at the bed, then around at the others.

"Having an alchemist with access to a lab sounds like a boon to me. Using pillows and sheets as protection for the glass I can see us using either a barrel or lockbox to transport it with. If we manage to pack it securely enough we could roll a barrel. Grumbles could also carry it, if you could make some sort of strengthening potion."

Declan was eyeing the wizard on the floor with a slight look of amusement while leaning on her staff. She was rather bemused that they still survived-- not that she intended to die, the odds still were against them, however-- but not going to question it. Seeing Fletch nearly swoon at the sight of the things over there on the table, she watched with some curiosity, but looked to the others as they debated.

"Interrogation means he isn't dead yet..", she inferred. Thoughtful, she shrugged, looking at the brand on her arm with a bit of distaste. "..Do you want to break his hands now, or later? Also, we are still planning on killing everyone, are we?" She was always for leaving, but that was how it went, she guessed.

Oops, clearly a key was found on the warden. soz

With the key from the warden's pocket, the office door is easily opened. Tastefully adorned in hard wood, the office is dominated by a massive oak desk. Inside the Warden’s desk is a neatly folded map of the surrounding area. The map shows the quickest route through the moors. It also shows Old Moor Road – your destination. The desk has one locked drawer, ALSO unlocked simply with the warden's keys. Inside is the Warden's spellbook.

I could whip up some smelling salts but judging from the wounds the warden took, he's not getting up anytime soon unless we actually heal him. I will replace my Longshot extract with Cure Light Wounds instead now that Avyanna mentions this fact. Always good to have extra healing.

A spellbook? Interesting. I should be able to copy some of those into my formulae book...once we've got a spare moment. I pocket the spellbook.

I was never very clear about wether spells from spellbooks count as scrolls? I assume they do not because it doesn't cost the Wizard anything to put them into his spellbook when he gains new spells so there wouldn't be a comeasurate cost. Also I am the only prepared "caster" atm. Good thing alchemists can use wizard spellbooks to add to their list (provided it's also an Alchemist "spell").

Human

Spellbook is not able to be used to cast spells from it. I'm not sure you can use scrolls anyway. Aren't they spell completion items? And alchemists cannot use them without UMD. Course you can always copy the ones that are on the alchemist list later. Too bad everyone else is spontaneous. You getting a huge chunk here.

Really this is the information you plan on gaining from this man. Troop information. We are in the middle of no where with nothing but villages for oh 50 miles or more. And well there are no orc and goblin raids down here so what is here plus maybe local militia and maybe the group that will be coming to get us in three days, well troops are light. On escaping. Well if we kill everyone we won't be found out for three days when the others arrive. If we leave survivors then well earlier I guess, but it will only be a few men and some militia. I'm curious who we will see at this place you said we are supposed to go. If they want us out maybe they have a plan. Now if anyone can think of anything he may know that will help us get out of the prison then by all means waste your healing. If not lets move on. We have some hours still till morning, but I don't want to lose the advantage of night.

@GM are there windows in this tower can I see out. If so are there really 3 sets of guards on the west walls and 5 on the east and the one on top of the gatehouse?

No windows. You already found out that there are only 1 set of guards on each side of the wall.
