:And thank you. All of you. For rescuing me.:
"Don't worry about it at all."
[blink, blink]
:That is a great deal to take in at once,: she said, weakly.
"Guess this is a bad time to mention that the children(that we've met so far) consider me their Uncle?" ^_~

Ryleh raised an eyeridge, but the corner of her mouth twitched up, revealing her amusement.
:Very well. I suppose I will have to come to terms with that.:
She walked over to an unmarked wall with no niches in it and reached inside. She pulled out a small box. She spoke something that was not intelligible, and power flowed from her into the box until the lock snapped open.
:Even if you had found this, you would not have been able to open it without me.:
She pulled out an ornate ring with two empty sockets and one glowing ruby.
:It seems that it is time to adapt to changing circumstances.:
She whispered something as she clutched the ring and then began to shrink and change, her form slowly becoming that of a human woman. She looked to be in early middle age, and almost managed to look normal except for the deep purple hair.

Morning. I've got a sick kidlet at home today. Ugh. Finally got him settled in with some Clone Wars so I can get some computer time. :)
Yuck. Hope he gets better fast (and doesn't act out too much on you). Everything's better with some Star Wars ;)
Also, I'm gonna resurrect the discussion thread now for some plot discussion.
Uh oh...I had a feeling this was coming. I'm in trouble now.... ;_;

Tam smiles and pulls out a small signal mirror from his Haverack, handing it to Ryleh so she can see the results of her work.
"Very nice indeed, my lady. I love what you've done with your hair," he says with a wink. ;)
Tamrin Sunwake
"Don't worry - I'm sure I can tweak your hair color to whatever you'd like. Prestidigitation is a fashionista's best friend, after all!" He says with a grin, glad to see the picture of mother and daughter together. ;D
Rylehtin'akksavith
She smiled. "I believe I'll stick with purple."
"And I'm glad you're here too, Aananda'reavekki. Very glad indeed."
Stepping back, she picked up the box again and pulled out another ring, this one with three glowing rubies.
She handed it to Tam.
"It's the last one. Only use it if there is no other way. I believe you can be trusted to be responsible with it," she added with a smile.

"Uhhhh.....wow. Right. Understood," Tam replies as he scrutinizes the ring.
"Hopefully we won't ever need it."

If it weren't for this arm I've got, I'd feel a little left out right now, what with everyone getting cool new toys to play with...
"Just wait 'til you find out what the nanites have been doing to your appendix. It'll be like Christmas morning!!" ;D

Hey, I thought being able to encase yourself in a metal shell at will was a good thing. ;)

Well, I'm sure I'll get it all sorted out during the next upgrade. ;)

"No - it's...........The Brass Ball!!"
:D
See, now your just insulting Aananda by saying she would use an inferior metal in the construction of this wonderful arm! She's glowering at you right now, but unlike a T-Rex on Isla Sorna, her vision isn't based on movement. Better hope she gets tired before she catches you...

lol. No, I'm not mad. But really, brass??? I mean, I thought about using titanium, but that's just a little too weak. Nothing but adamantine for my adopted sibling. ^.^
I'm working on upgrading that...carbon nano-tubes perhaps? Hmmmm....I need a better lab....;)

I'm working on a lab, but it's more chemicals than metalurgy, so I might not be much help. Although acid-etching I have covered. And poison(don't tell Ryo, but I've been making floral and venom based poisons. My favorite's the neurotoxin that smells like a rose. You have to inhale most of the time, but that's no problem... :) ), I can make plenty of poisons.

Meanwhile back in the jungle.....
Varhonnen the Shadowmancer watched and waited. That was his current assignment.
A messenger imp came flying in.
"Show me," Varhonnen hissed. The creature trembled at his feet and slowly and reluctantly produced the mirror. Varhonnen scowled as he viewed its contents. The Supreme Overlord would not be pleased.
He turned sharply and strode purposefully towards the throne room, taking only a moment to crush the imp to a pulp first.
Varhonnen knelt before the throne his forehead to the floor to show the proper respect for his master.
"Supreme Overlord, I have news."
Chan
"Well?" he demanded harshly. "Where is she?"
The shadowmancer groveled before him as was only right and proper.
"I do not know, Supreme Overlord," he hissed. "The vision we saw in the scrying bowl was an illusion. A misdirection. She is gone."
Chan screamed with rage and hurled a spear at Varhonnen, a blow which would have certainly killed the man had he not already been undead.
"Find her. I don't care what you have to do. You WILL find her and bring her to me."
"Yes, Supreme Overlord," Varhonnen hissed and slowly backed out of the room, bowing, the spear still stuck in his back.
Chan paced back and forth across the room, disappointment seething within.
Chan
Brooding was not suited to his nature, so he decided to put his anger to good use. He strode forth from the throne room to the stables and threw open the door. The wounded Silver barely glanced at him with its pain glazed eyes.
"I do hope you are enjoying my hospitality thus far. I think it's time that we got to know each other a little better," he said with a cruel smile as he battered against the older dragon's mental defenses, directing the fire troll to apply more pain whenever he reached a block, keeping the Silver from maintaining his concentration. He reveled in the other dragon's suffering.
Dantyreslithorn the Tarnished
Dantyreslithorn roared in pain, the firey touch of the hellish troll searing his scales and burning down further, to soft tissue and even bone beneath.
His will was strong, but he had lost so much blood during the battle with that damnable amethyst rogue that he was lightheaded and couldn't focus his mind against the overwhelming onslaught coming from the being in front of him. He could feel the anger, the unbridled fury driving through his mental walls like a battering ram, and one by one they were crumbling under the strain...
Chan
You. Will. Serve. Me.
He drove that message into the Silver's brain over and over, hiding it in places that would not be expected. He tore knowledge from its mind as he went.
"Dantyres. You are tired and wounded. Let me help you. You have but to give in. Release this foolish struggle. Serve me. And I will give you rest and healing. Serve me."
He signalled for the troll to hit the Silver again. As Dantyres roared with pain, Chan tore through the last remaining mental walls and twisted the creatures will to his purpose.
"You will serve me."
