Assassin Vines - free action to have plants try to entangle, attacks misses.

Karnog
Desmond - makes reflex
Kalim - not entangle, hits with TA Fire 4HP

Grimm - not entangled this round, activates judgment and casts divine favor.

Malcolm - makes reflex
Vatilda - makes reflex moves (-M, 6) and hit with club for 10 HP

*Kalim did you move, if so which hex?

Sorry I meant -R,-2 which was 20ft.

-R, 1 is effectively the same effect (flank) so it's fine. My mistake

I thought that was the case, I just wanted to make sure. I actually appreciate flare which breaks up mundane dice rolls.

As Kalim moves away he takes an AOO form the blue plant.

The vicious plants lashes out trying to slam, grab and then pulverize Kalim into fertilizer,

If it has grabbed then it constricts,

Confirming critical hit:

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27;damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

The magic user gets pounded and snatched while trying to move out of harm's way.

Kalim - You rested the night before and Karnog, Grimm and Malcolm had done healing so you should have been full health 38 HP, rather than the 28 you have listed on the stat line. That makes a big difference since you just took 33 HP of damage.

Evil GM

RD 2: Assassin Vines

Anyone still inside the template areas need to make another reflex save DC13 or become entangled by the grape vines and thistle bushes.

The Assassin vine holding lessens its hold and lashes out at creature with that just hacked at it (Malcolm):

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18;damage,plus grab: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
CMB vs Malcolm's CMD 21: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

If it has grabbed then it constricts,
damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

The attack hit (I added the +2 bonus from Karnog's spell), but it could not grab Malcolm.

Evil GM

Karnog:

I'm aware the nat 1/20 rule. The vine hit with nat 20 and confirmed the hit. Once it hit it does a possible secondary action as a free action grab which is what the CMB v. CMD roll was for. If the plant successfully grabs, then the third effect occurs, which is the constrict damage. Did I miss something?

EDIT: I see now that the CMB was a Nat 1 which is an auto fail.

I see a yellow template and a blue one. Which is which? Also is the plant Desmond and I flanking dead?

Evil GM

RD 2: Assassin Vine yellow

The vine moves 5 feet to get closer to Desmond and it tries to slam the man,

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10;damage,plus grab: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
CMB vs Desmond's CMD 18: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

If it has grabbed then it constricts,
damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

The plant's hurried actions miss the deft rogue.

Grimm Sharpest wrote:

The plant that you and Desmond flanked is dead and marked through with an red X. I removed the associated Red template for the plants that it controlled.

The blue template is controlled by the blue plant, the Yellow template is controled by the yellow haloed plant. There is overlap.
