I was wondering about the poor beast! Frankly I had written it, and my camping gear/food off when we are forced to run for it. Looks like ghoul bait to me.
Anyway, Belle will start up another summon monster from the wand and hold her ground. Can we tell which of these things is the most severely injured?
Reynaud La Croix
Well, I might not make it inside the dungeon itself. That'd be embarrassing. Long as someone makes it out I don't mind.
Reynaud looks at the numerous holes in his torso, and after thinking about the afterlife for a second, lashes out at the most wounded gargoyle.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Olaf the Holy
Reynaud's jab lands perfectly, precisely as the Green Guardian turns its head. The tip of the blade penetrates at the temple, just under its left horn, and the force of the blow carries the point all the way out the other temple. It will take Reynaud quite some force for him to retrieve the blade, but on the plus side, the gargoyle is very dead.
Tony Tanner
Lets chance it
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Tony does a cartwheel roll away from the gargoyle and to the rest of the group.
He wheels back to face the gargoyle, dropping a dagger and grabbing a bottle from his bandolier.

Also we have one of those deadly summoned creatures appearing this round so we should be fine!
I have a question. Belle took the elven favored class bonus that gives her an extra point in her reservoir. I checked on the board and it seems that there is some debate whether that increases the amount in the pool or the maximum. I need to know as I either have 0 or 1 reservoir left and could cast another CLW if I have a point left. From the tone of the conversation I think I got it wrong and have 0/8 instead of 1/7.
Belle PBP
I've decided on my action. Summon a fire elemental 2 west of Raynauld, take a 5' step back, and unleash a Color Spray (DC 15 will) that hits both of the remaining Gargoyles.
Note: She is no longer invisible.
"Come and get me boys! If you can."
Damn it. Fail to resist this time!
Olaf the Holy
Color Spray Will Saves:
#5: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
#8: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
The least injured gargoyle is taken off-guard by the sudden torrent of colored sand, and sways on its feet, briefly stunned. The other one covers its head under a moss-colored wing, and makes it through unscathed. #5 is stunned, and thus loses his dexterity to AC.
Splash weapon scatter

Fortunately, Tony's missed throw goes wide, rather than the vial of liquid fire exploding amidst his teammates.
#8 takes 1 fire damage.
The fire elemental appears from thin air, and attacks.

Maybe acid is luckier
Acid: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 4 = 15
DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Let's make this on 5 as he is stunned, does SA apply?
Olaf the Holy
It would, but sneak attack doesn't work with splash weapons.
This vial hits the gargoyle square in the chest, and the creature twitches as it goes down, convulsing and dying from acidic burns.
The other gargoyle, Reynaud and the fire elemental both get a bit of the acid on them as the vial breaks.
Each takes 1 acid damage from the splash.

The dagger comes back into existence again, stabbing #8
FF SP: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 131d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
and now I'm out of spells :(
EDIT: Ninja'd by 8 seconds! Well, I guess I'm attacking #5, but I think that's still a miss...
Belle PBP
Is #5 also blinded for 1d4 rounds? From the description it looks like it. That's really important since I can get to Magnus if it's blind.
BTW, I really appreciated how you rolled under my AC for 3/4 attacks and the one that did get through was bodyguarded away. Correct me if I'm wrong but did Belle just escape unscathed?
Belle PBP
As usual, I noticed my oversight a bit later than my initial post. Dang you're fast. I updated my post after seeing your post in the discussion thread.
I thought Green Guardian Gargoyles only had 4 HD? Though I would not be surprised to see it mixed up a bit, so I'll take your word for it. Heck, it might not BE a Green Guardian Gargoyle for all I know. But I was hoping there for a while!
Belle PBP
It doesn't have to be Belle. If someone gets to me this turn, they can use a standard action to pull out a potion of Cure Light Wounds from my backpack, then give it to me.
I figure Belle would have known that. In that case she will cast her last spell and vanish once again and rush to Magnus's side.
Olaf the Holy
The sole remaining gargoyle attacks reynaud.

In the distance, over the hill, you hear high-pitched screeches. It doesn't really sound like an animal call, more like something a human would make if it wanted to sound like an animal.
The lone voice is answered by a chorus of others - and they're coming your way.

Wham! The ethereal dagger punches a two-inch hole clean through the last gargoyle's throat, and it collapses.
Judging from the sound of it, you'll probably be able to see them on the top of the hill in a minute or so, maybe half that.
Agyen recalls that ghouls are humanoid creatures, either created by fairly powerful necromancers, risen spontaneously from the bodies of cannibals, or a person inflicted with Ghoul Fever. They're disease-ridden, and their hands and teeth cause paralysis in their prey.
What's more, they grow more powerful as they consume flesh, and certain older ghouls gain, amongst other things Agyen is not quite sure of, the ability to track prey by scent.
Immediately relevant fact about undead; they don't get tired. In case of ghouls, continued extertion will make them hungry, and the hunger eventually drives them (more) insane, but they can keep exterting themselves indefinitely, if they want to.
Belle PBP
we could load up the mule and make a run for it but I think our best bet is to hole up in one of the buildings. I have some wand charges of unseen servant and floating disk to help move everything if we need it.
Tony Tanner
Tony's eyes go wide aas soon as he hear the ungodly howls.
"F@#$... F@#$, F@#$, F@#$! We need to get out of here. Where's the entrance to Rappan! We Need Shelter!"
Tony stares at the one hope he thought he had, the smoldering corpse of the dead paladin. He tosses himself at her hoping she might have some holy device to hold the ghouls at bay.
Tony is desperate and hurt.
Olaf the Holy
Tony desperately rifles through Tessai's gear, finding a small iron sword symbol on a chain around her neck, a thin stick in a concealed sheath on her charred right wrist, and various small jars of balms and salves, as well as a few cork-stopped vials, all in pockets of the bandolier she had worn across her breastplate.
Tony Tanner
Tony puts on the iron symbol praying it does something. Calming a little, he begins stuffing the vials, balms and salves in his pack and pockets.
He looks at the stick in her wrist sheath and looks to Belle who he saw casting spells earlier.
"Does this look useful to you", he says as he cast Mage Hand to float it over to her.
He goes over to support the bruiser to help support him. "Sorry, about the acid."
He looks around the buildings to see which one looks the sturdiest.
Olaf the Holy
They're remarkably similar. The graveyard's layout looks like a giant cross - there's a mausoleum to the east, and another to the west, both with the double doors hanging open. The eastern one is slightly closer. The two buildings are squat and square, roughly 40ft. by 60ft. in dimensions. They're made from green stone, and look very solid: There are no windows.
The southern mausoleum is different. It's sunken in the ground, so, assuming it's as tall as the two others, you can only see the top third part of it. You have a good view of the roof that the green guardians used to sit on.
Belle PBP
Belle takes a look at the wand that floats over. I'm going to assume that during the course of their travels the party got to know each other and the possessions each had. I know Belle was not keeping any secrets. If I am wrong about this, then she casts detect magic and here is a spellcraft roll:
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
"It's a wand of cure light wounds. I can use one charge off of this before my reservoir is empty. After that I have about a 25% chance of making it work per charge. What's your name by the way and how the heck did you manage to pop up at such an inopportune time - at least for you?"
As she is speaking, she casts a floating disk, plops the greatsword (or longsword - I'm not sure which she picked up) on it, and gets busy helping strip the gear from Tessai.
"I could use this longsword. I have an elven curve blade, but I barely know how to use it. Anyone mind?"
I failed to understand that elves only get weapon familiarity with the elven curve blade and thus she is not proficient with the weapon she brought. Though it does seem all too in-character to me.
Looking at Tessai's slack face, thinking she won't mind anything anymore ever. She mutters again "Poor Pill, we just can't let her die. We just can't."
Belle PBP
Belle will start casting CLW on Magnus. The first one costs her last reservoir but is automatic.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
She then starts using UMD on the weakest ally until 5 charges are used or she rolls a 1.
Activate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Activate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Magnus -5
Activate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Magnus 4 hp
Activate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Reynauld 8 hp
Activate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Aygen 9 hp
Activate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Tony 12 hp
She gives on last look at the unresponsive corpse, the calls out "Pill!"
Her voice starts off a bit shrill and loud but tones down in the middle of the syllable, as she realizes that yelling will only draw the Ghouls faster. After her first load is carried to the mausoleum selected, she runs over to Pill to bring him in too, wand of summon monster at the ready, moving like the wind.
Belle has the 'run' feat.
Olaf the Holy
Belle spends one round looting, six rounds casting, then starts to run in the direction of her donkey.
Reynaud is dragging Tessai's body into the eastern mausoleum. This takes him 8 rounds.
Tony spends two rounds looting Tessai for her wand and other stuff.
Magnus comes alive on round 4.
What does everybody else do?
Reynaud La Croix
As he sees Belle engaging in ill-advised donkey shenanigans he pauses his hauling of his friend's recently deposed corpse to yell at his yet-living companion.
BELLE! Leave the blasted mule and get into the crypt! We haven't the time for this!
