Zennek's eyes widened when he spotted the dragon. It didn't look like it was quite as big as the stories he'd heard, but it still looked plenty big.

He opened his mouth and then closed it, his lips forming a frown. No one else said anything and he wasn't sure if he should say something. He casually made his hand was in a good place to draw his weapons, but he waited for the moment.

Not wanting to alert the dragon, but also not wanting the party to be surprised, Wyran 'quietly' states, "Does anyone else see that dragon up in the treetops? Over there...." He motions with his head, not looking directly at it or pointing to it.

He also pulls a tiny sliver of licorice root from his spell component pouch. Ready to cast a spell.

Vraxenis the Blight-Bringer. Why draw blades? I find violence so incredibly tedious, and you strike me as a group of rather sensible mortals. The local townsfolk are paranoid of me, but you and I could have an arrangement. Bring me the secrets of Rappan Athuk, or perhaps an artifact, and I will grant you absolute protection.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1

The king at Courghais issued a royal decree granting patents of nobility over lands not yet actually taken. Responsibility for “pacifying any unlawful resistance to the Overking’s decree by subjects in such lands” was left to the knights and barons “upon taking possession of
their lawful desmesnes in the Province.” In other words, if a Foerdewaith
noble, or even a mercenary leader, could carve out a piece of Eastreach,
they owned it.
