Yep. Back and catching up. Lets see... hope I do not miss anything.

Tolvan watches from his rooftop perch as Kimberly changes before his eyes. Amazing. Pharisma is really with her. he comments quietly. When encouraged to join the group Tolvan only hesitates long enough to see that Anna is coming back too and is joining the others. He dimensionally steps down and joins with the group as his wall of fire burns its last.

Standing protectively near Anna the wizard watches the tomb being opened. Voicing his concerns he vocalizes This is a risk. We open what our enemy could not. Let us be sure that they do not benefit from our actions. He looks resolute.

As he watches he tries to understand all he sees.

Taking it all in and understanding much, but not all Tolvan finally says This place is one of magical congruence. So much energy. This tomb seems to be above a network of ley lines all connecting in the ground. If tapped in properly, the magical marvel one could attain would be just sort of godly. It must not fall to the Way!

Anna pales when she hears Tolvan's explanation. She glances around the ruins looming nearby. "I'm gonna go get my big crossbow. Be right back."

She dashes over to the door where she dropped her heavy crossbow, snatches it up and races back to the edge of the pit. She nervously begins cranking the winch to ready it to fire.

You all feel the energy building up with each step that Kimberly takes toward the sarcophagus. Those staying near the entrance notice that the same energy barrier that was holding the undead at bay above ground now prevents them from entering the tomb. Once next to the resting place of the one she identified as General Ananias, Kimberly places her hands on the lid. With a light push, the heavy stone slab gently slides off and the Inside is revealed. Inside is a single man dressed in an exquisite full plate. All around him are personal items that were also sealed inside. In his hands rest a simple scimitar. Compared to the tomb and the armor, the sword seems out of place.

Now glowing of energy like all the glyphs around her, Kimberly gently touches the man's head, cradling it in her hands. At that moment, the built up energy is released and a wave of bright white light flashes over everyone. Once you are able to see again, you all feel rested and at peace. All around you, the glyphs and light have gone out. The energy seems to have been drained from the place. It would probably take decades if not more to achieve just a fraction of what was here. Behind you at the entrance, the energy barrier is gone. Of the army of skeletons, you only see piles of bones. It would seem that the energy wave took care of that too.

Then you turn back to the sarcophagus. There you see Kimberly almost back to normal. The event seems to have aged her a bit. Also, you are surprised to see Mr. Teddy sitting on her shoulder... and he is moving by himself. He seems to be alive... if that's possible. The other surprise comes from the sarcophagus. It starts with a soft noise, like someone breathing amplified by an echo. Then a gauntlet covered hand grab the edge of the sarcophagus. You just stand there as the man slowly sit up, looking at you with as much surprise as you are probably displaying on your own faces. He looks around and then notices Kimberly close by. He turns to face her properly and clear his throat to speak to her.

For game mechanic Wise, you are all healed as if you just spend a good night sleeping. Also, all spells and daily abilities are refreshed.

Anna, if the crossbow was in the tomb, you can get it. If it was outside, the barrier prevent you from leaving until the flash of energy happens.

The man blinks sharply, as if clearing a fog from his eyes, which come to rest on a young girl. Too young. Far too young for what it means if I am awake. She gazes at her companions; they haven't noticed him yet. His eyes study in the flesh what his mind had been watching from afar. (Is that what it had been, then--not a dream? There had been so many dreams; hadn't there? Already he couldn't remember.) The people gathered had been in his mind's eye for.... Days? Weeks? A lifetime? Strangely familiar, yet completely unknown. Half-remembered.

He looks at his tomb for the first time with his own eyes. His tomb; he knew that to be true. An expansive battle scene dominated one wall, painting him a hero he'd never been. I would not be here if that had been my tale. I am here because I failed. He grips the edge of his sarcophagus tightly, his fingers traveling over engraved dwarven runes.

The room felt safe. Comfortable. Powerful. But foreboding. Some threat was here--but not here, at least not now. But a danger was pressing in.

It felt like it was time.

He looked over the small group of onlookers again as he returned his gaze to the young girl. It was then that he noticed the small, soft bear. Perhaps not awake after all.

Alive awake dreaming dead....

They were looking at him now. "... ..." he tries to begin, a dry croak escaping his open mouth. He coughs, clearing his throat, and continues. His eyes are locked on the young girl.

"You. You have awoken me. Is it... is now the time?"

Anna had turned to go grab her heavy crossbow but slammed her face into the barrier. Stunned slightly, she woozily turned back to the edge of the pit and was forced to watch with her heart in her throat as the confluence of energies clashed together.

The wave knocked her to the ground. She sits up slowly, peeking over the rim of the pit. She felt... refreshed, healed. She wasn't sure how that could happen, but whatever was going on, she resolved to stay out of its way.

The General nods then begins a process of standing. While it is clear that his body contains a great deal of strength, there is also no doubt that the body has not moved for a very long time. He slowly and methodically starts lifting himself out of the sarcophagus, taking plenty of time to move each limb carefully. He stretches and bends both arms, along with his fingers and wrists, then uses those to help lift his legs out the of the stone coffin.

He leans forward, planting his feet on the floor, then shifts his weight to stand, stumbling and nearly crashing into the wall of the tomb before catching himself. A torch illuminates the grey translucence of the grave that shines through his skin, but with a second glance it becomes obvious that he stands near no torch. The glow-not-glow, strangely comforting, seemingly comes from within. He looks up at his image on the wall, and memories start rushing back.

Battle crashed around him. His scimitar, limned in a frosty sheen from the spell he'd charged into its blade, swung at the trio of vampires that approached. Doubt infused him even as he yelled support to his own troops. The intelligence was no good; I've prepared for the wrong adversary!

Continuing to hem him in, the Tyrant's creatures slowed little at his strikes even as he continued to recharge one of the only spells he had left. One struck a glancing blow, but it connected enough; he could feel his own essential life force drain into the undead creature. He fell to one knee, a desperate strategy swimming up in his mind. I'll not survive this, but these won't either.

Feigning a weakness greater than that which actually afflicted him, he allowed himself to fall to his other knee as he gathered what little of his arcane power remained. He muttered a hopeful prayer in his mind. Pharasma, your mark has ever been on mine house. Lady of Graves, never have I asked for your divine aid. If ever you held me and mine in your favor, grant that aid now, that we may together remove these abominations from this weary world. I am yours.

The hint of a flash of light blinded his vision as his consciousness faded.

He blinked as he returned to the present. "I fought in The Shining Crusade against the Whispering Tyrant and his minions. I lost my battle... but I feel like I know that we won. He was defeated, and imprisoned. I couldn't know this, and yet, I do."

"There is a new threat. I can feel it in the very air around me. You would not... could not... wake me if this were not true. Tell me. What do we face." Though the words are arranged as a question, the inflection is that of a statement, that leaves a pregnant pause in the air.

Ananais looks down at the young girl. She... speaks true? She has not the look of any I'd known... or seen. My mind's eye saw the burial procession. The internment. The sealing. I was there; my... awareness... was still fresh and strong. It was another, I see this clearly, and yet she speaks true.

Anna watched the whole event with stunned amazement. She stayed low and hidden, ready to hightail it out of there if this thing went south. But instead, she witnessed a strange miracle -- recalling an ancient warrior of old back to service for Pharasma.

She blinks and wipes her eyes, marveling at the change in Kimberly. She seemed older, and her odd comments about being at the Shining Crusade were almost believable.

Danica seemed to find some sort of kinship with the man, and Tolvan was his usual font of knowledge.

She looked at them all -- Kimberly, Danica, Theopolis, Tolvan and now this Ananias guy -- and she suddenly felt very out of place. She slinks away quietly and, discovering the barrier gone and the undead destroyed, goes over to where her heavy crossbow lay. She sits down in the dirt and puts it in her lap to begin cranking the heavy draw string back.

She listens to the voices of the others in the crypt, and keeps an eye out for threats that may have survived or had been outside the wave of destruction. She figures that they may have attracted some attention.

During that time, Anna walks outside to recover her crossbow. The town square is abnormally quiet right and her sense start to pick out some faint sign here and there that something might be up. She grabs her crossbow and start cranking it, every nerve in her body tells her she will be needing it soon. As she makes her way back to the crypt entrance, she sees from the corner of her eyes dark shapes moving about. At first she saw only one or two, but now it seems that maybe about a dozen if not more are slowly making their way toward the town square.

Anna bunkers down in the deepest patch of shadow she can find in the no man's land between the tower and the village, takes a few deep breaths, and checks the bolt on her crossbow to make sure it's silvered. <<The doors are clear, but they're gonna need some muscle. Time to move; I'll cover you.>>

Danica puts her temple sword away and removes her silver nunchaku. <<General....Theo... your strength is need at the door. Tolvan and Kimberly is next. I will take the rear and cover our run to the doors.>>
Danica uses her keen senses to keep her friends safe.

The group hustles through the empty space between the pit and the tower. As they reach the door. You can hear some sinister howls coming from multiple locations around the town square. Then you see them, moving out of the shadows... First one, then another... The number keeps increasing as more and more werewolves step in the light. Theopolis and Ananias charge the door, putting all their all might in the movement. Their shoulders impact the door. You hear a crack, but the door still holds. They try again, this time the door open a bit. Through the crack you can see the wooden bar that is preventing the door to open. Using his sword, Theopolis hacks the rest of it and open the door. Looking back you see the werewolfs are running toward you. "Get inside, quick." Theopolis stand on the side of the door, waving the rest of the group forward.

You get inside, looking around the small tower. While the outside is heavily damaged, the inside is in relatively good shape, the walls of the entrance hallway display several stone sundials. A doorway to the southwest opens to a small, rubble-strewn antechamber, while a makeshift curtain of woolen blankets blocks another doorway to the northeast.

Still moving rapidly Tolvan surveys the room they are in and looks for something to block the door. Those must be the demon wolves. Don't they even know their enemies are our enemies?

Ananias nods at Kimberly, growing fond of the cross-time connection that he has with the young girl. "I gave myself into Pharasma's care so long ago; I'll not stop trusting The Lady now."

He quickly gets up to speed--at least physically--and hustles to the tower, helping to breach the door so the party can get under cover. His mental understanding of the situation is just as unclear as ever.

"I thought we were fighting the Whispering Way; they are a society for the promotion of undead, not lycanthropes. Well, at least they were in my time. Why are we now running from werewolves?" Even as he questions the situation, he's hunting around the room to find a way to brace the door shut.

Kimberly moves into the room and once there is a moment to explain, she tries her best to quickly answer the General.

We kind of made some enemies while tracking the whispering way. some of the clans may have teamed up with the Whispering way. Probably to use and soldiers to deal with us.

Anna waits until the doors are open, then races through them. She glances all around, then puts a shoulder into one of the doors to get them closed again.

"They teamed up, but then the Whisperers betrayed them, so we're in the middle of a turf war between the Demon Wolves and the Way. Who knew a secret group of necromancers would be so untrustworthy?"

Anna has it right. I expected a few straggler weres but I thought we had dealt with he majority when we took out the Demon wolves leadership.

Ananias is as surprised as any of the others at the deep belly laugh that erupts at Anna's sarcastic quip.

While some of you close the doors, others start looking for stuff to block the door. You don't see anything in the immediate room, so you start looking around the corner. A few steps away lies an old wooden door flat on the floor. Further out you can see some rubble in the other corners.

Danica moves over to the old wooden door. "Can we use this old door to brace the enterance?" Danica offers a prayer to he Bright Lady and touches the wall to the right of the door, imparting that small section of the wall to shed light. (Danica casting Light spell on the wall to offer some light)

I got a better map up. Good Map
I'll move the story forward in the morning.
