Gwynbel: The Gillman is wearing a similar style cloak to the one you found in the pit.
The gillman responds to Harl's question.
"Some foul smelling pale skinned human passed through here to the cave to the west. It is a cave my people use for the long eternal rest. I believe he had foul intentions for them, but was properly dealt with by the spirits of the dead."
"The tunnel to the east goes deeper into the hills and some tribe of small colorful creatures has begun to dig their way out from the earth. While they can feel the power of the this place and dare not enter, I would not describe them as friends."

So what I gather from this is that we no longer have to figure out why the gillman comes in on the full moon. Well, maybe we do. But we don't need to camp out and 'ambush' them. And we could probably take Janira on our next expedition? I wonder if we can split this into three days?

"Lizard-like creatures?" asks Mrachni, curiously. "What happened to the human who came with bad intentions?"

Mrachni nods. "I will go in, then, and seek justice for the dead and the living."
Bowing respectfully at Aroden's shrine, the half-orc glances around at his companions and then moves toward the tunnel mouth.

Heading down the passageway...
I'm presuming you all follow along, let me know if that's not the case.
The cave’s damp air becomes increasingly stale as you continue down through this tunnel, the stench of decay growing increasingly evident.
The passage turns to the east and opens into a small cavern littered with bits of broken glass, rotting pieces of paper, and other unusable detritus. The body of what appears to be a male human lies facedown toward the back of the cavern.
What do you do?

Gwynbel looks about the room from a distance, and ponders the next course of action.
Do we see any other dead? I thought they were interred here.

"That's quite...fishy? As the sailors say, I believe."

Gwynbel: the body appears to be quite dead, at least from this distance, and there is no sound of motion from up ahead.
Harlbrount throws a rock at the body. The body does not stir, but the sound of bone scrapping against rock is quickly followed by the sight of a skeletal gillman with long bony fingers coming into view.
It turns its head towards you, visible evil radiating from its empty sockets.
It does not sound like it's alone.

Mrachni frowns at the embodiment, speaking softly as he draws his club. "Quiet, dead one. We seek only to remove that one from this resting place. Step aside and let justice be done."
Stepping forward, he focuses on his sense of justice and feels himself becoming empowered to bring it about. War Mind on self; 2/3 daily. No benefit until beginning of my next turn.

Two more skeletons come from around the corner to the north, the same lifeless evil radiating from their empty sockets.
The first one makes it to the corridor and claws Mrachni for 6 damage.
The other 2 skeletons shuffle in line behind the front one, trying to claw and scrabble their way towards you.

Ow, dat hurted. HP now 5/11.
Mrachni winces as the skeleton's claws tear past his armor. "Space would be good," he nods, agreeing with Harlbrount. Delaying; can Darius step 5' north or south so Mrachni can 5' step back?

For War Mind, I'll elect to use the +1 to AC for this round. AC now 17.
The half-orc twitches involuntarily as the whip goes snaking past him, but nods in approval as the skeleton goes down. Not one to waste a good opportunity, he swings hard with his club at the downed undead before stepping back into the company of his fellows.

Gwynbel's slingshot gives his allies brief pause over who's side he's actually on but no harm done.
The front skeleton rises to its feet, almost like it's being pulled by a marionette and steps forward, once again clawing at Mrachni, hungry for his life force. Slicing into an exposed arm for 4 damage causing blood to spray all over Darius.

Would you guys be okay with my using another charge from our unknown-charges CLW wand?
Mrachni eyes his wounds doubtfully, clutching his club and considering whether to go after the skeleton in his wounded condition. "These dead do not seem to be resting, do they?" he asks.
Gwynbel Tathdiir

"Stay back for now, Mrachni."
With that, Gwynbel scoops up another rock into his sling, and aims for the nose of the skeleton before slinging another glowing rock at the skeleton.
