Yarrr
Discussion goes here.
I'm going to be in England from August 16th-30th and then at Pacificon over Labor Day weekend. I can manage to play while travelling but I need my desktop to GM, thus the late start on Tuesday the 5th.
When convenient:
Player Name:
Character Name:
PFS Number:
Faction:
Day job:
Also, when you get a chance can you fill in an initiative line and add a copy of your "mini" to page 1 of the slides
We should have Psychic 5, Cleric 3, Bard 3, Fighter 5 and Ranger 4, putting us exactly at APL 4. If people want to swap around characters that's fine, I concern my recruitment much more with players in mind over characters.
Also feel free to introduce your characters on gameplay if desired, we've got about in a month until we get started, so plenty of time.

I appear to have made an illegal spell selection when I leveled up after the last game. Reverting it now.
Searlas Savy

So... would that qualify for the Liberty's Edge faction card goal of 'defy local law or custom in a way that assists me and my allies without endangering the mission or threatening innocents? Or will I have to push the envelope a bit harder?

Hariwini is Searlas's conscience in somewhat tangible form. He showed up one day after a long night of drinking and Searlas still hasn't QUITE figured it out.

Ahh, the age old question. Is grease flammable?
I am generally of the opinion that it's not particularly flammable.
Obviously JJ isn't a rules source and it's possible I've missed more recent comments on how it works. If so I always love learning something new.
If you'd rather do something else with the alchemist's fire, feel free.

The intent wasn't necessarily to ignite the grease, the intent was to bathe prone sailors stuck in a grease trap in alchemist's fire, possibly ignite any dry surfaces the wooden boat or cause them to smoulder, and generally cause panic and chaos.
My personal rule of grease has generally been that it is flammable, but along the same lines of the splash effect of alchemist's fire (1 dmg) and can possibly be used as kindling. Even then, setting a small pool of natural grease on fire is a rather deliberate thing, and chucking alchemist's fire on it probably wouldn't make a nice controlled burn.

Excellent! I'm really looking forward to CQA, especially having missed Pacificon this year.

Actually, it's a 10m/level cantrip; can't you just cast it on all of us before the fight? DM's ruling as to whether that would work, of course, but I don't see anything in the spell that would contraindicate it.
I guess it's a GM ruling how many message spells I can have going simultaneously. Each casting can only target 1 creature/level.

"Introducing Searlas Savy. His magic's can make even the bravest warriors' heads explode."
I'd hate to be the first foe I run into when I get access to the spell 'Explode Head.' I'm totally taking it and spamming it until it works.

Moving banter to discussion to avoid filling up gameplay with ooc tags. I suspect she doesn't have the feat you mentioned simply because I don't think that book was even in development in season 5.

Sadly he's not a vigilante. He's a Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 1 / Rogue (Thug) 7. In fact he's looking forward to hitting level 11 so he can get his advanced rogue talents... His feat plan is to take extra rogue talent at level 11 so he gets Double Debilitate and Quick Shot. Roll for Initi-BANG! Frightened, Sickened, -2 AC, Speed Halved...
He's my -1 who was originally a pure gunslinger rocking the double barreled cheatery. When that got eliminated I retrained him into unchained rogue. I also made the conscious decision that I did not want to make him a damage beast, so instead went for debuff effects. He tries really hard to take prisoners.

After taking advantage of the fact that Psychic magic has no verbal/somatic components, it's actually kinda nice in an odd way to actually run into the fear problem for once. Reminds me that I'm not just a wizard.

I may not get a chance to post again until Monday, going on a short camping trip. I might be able to before then, but if you wind up waiting on me, feel free to bot. At this point Zephyr's likely just trying to put arrows into people/will wand-heal Itra if she gets too beat up.

For those of you who are curious Helkit is a Barbarian (Mad Dog) 4 / Cavalier (Huntmaster 2)
As for the powerful animal companion note...
Note that although Helkit’s two classes would not normally stack their effective druid levels for determining the strength of her animal companion, Brimstone’s stats are generated as though this were the case; this is a product of Helkit’s esoteric fighting style and training with the exotic animal—a special exception to the rules for this scenario.

You see, she really had the trait to boost her companion's extra level... she wasn't cheating!
Boony boon boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 4 Nope!
Thanks a lot for a great scenario! I hope to see you in another game soon... from either side of the table to either side! I'm probably going to hold off for another week or so before I begin looking to jump into another game and/or recruit for one of my own, but if you've got any requests PirateRob let me know.

Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Thanks for running, Rob! I'm so glad I got to use my neat water tricks in a scenario! Also, I'm glad to see a Mad Dog in action, since I'm in the midst of building one.
