FYI I will be only able to post infrequently this weekend, due to running a con.

Probably should have mentioned this earlier, but...

As will become clear as we move along, Milo talks almost exclusively in slang (which I use to represent his extreme lower class, uneducated, magnimarian upbringing ... almost like he's talking in old school dnd thieves' cant all the time). Its kind of an amalgamation of 19th century old london slang and stuff I just make up that sounds good to me. (Though I do try to use terms consistently)

This means sometimes you'll might have no idea what the hell he is talking about... especially if he says more then a few words. (Though often its not too hard to figure out through context and tone)

Though if he drops into other languages, those don't have the same problem... its just his Common.

If it becomes an issue, let me know. I can curb it back a bit, or provide the occasional translation. (wonder what the linguistics check DC would be? =))

Depends on what language you learned it in, I suppose... or who taught you. Luckily one does not need to learn to use magic in a university.

I say go for it on the slang. Although, if there is something you need me to react to, you may want to go ahead and provide a spoilered translation.

@GM Alias -- which sub-tier are we playing? Just wondering, because 3 lions and an elephant seems like it should be a CR8+ encounter?

I'm sure we'll survive, just checking. *gulp*

@Rufus: Sorry to hear about your loss. Take care of what you need to take care of.

@Hamilton: We are playing the 5-6 subtier. I double checked, and the encounter is correct. I"m guessing the thinking is that the elephant is not necessarily considered a combatant. There are other ways to deal with it than fighting it.

I used the Monster Advancement Generator to put together the skeleton lion. Since it wasn't 100% right (skellies lose special attacks, for example) I edited it for correction/

For the record, that was the sort of response I was fishing for, Dailung. Trask would have done it, but does not prefer it. He's just spent too much time in or near the Worldwound to not understand that sometimes it is the only way.

I am going camping this weekend, and so won't be able to update. I will catch up either late Sunday or on Monday.

Well done. It appears that this Season 0 scenario was no match for the group’s massive damage output. Thanks everyone for playing. There were a couple of minor hiccups on my part, but my rules understanding grew as a result. I also had fun with this.
