"These might help me the next time someone forgets to remind me to look up." Willem says with a smile as he picks up the two Cure Moderate Wounds potions.

This wide chamber lies just beyond the hallway where the treasure hunters met their end.
See MAP. You can shuffle yourselves in the red area. And make yourself large if you wish
A spirit of a young girl with blond hair sits in the center of the room. As J. and the party approach, the spirit gets up, turns around, and addresses J. “I’ve been waiting for you a long time, Junia. Waiting for you to come back. Why did you leave me? Won’t you come back to me? Then we can all be friends again.”
J. is paralyzed by fear and guilt, and can only mutter “Cassiel, Cassiel, I’m so sorry, please forgive me” over and over again. Grishan explains that this is the spirit of their friend Cassiel Marlinchen who died with him in the necropolis.

Enora sees the being and tries to identify it.
kn(religion): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
If Enora really believes that this is an undead, she will immediately attack:
"This is an undead abomination!" says Enora and activates her staff of minor arcana to shoot four magical missiles at the undead.

Enora recognizes the apparition as Wraith. As she launches her magic missiles at the abomination the transforms in to its hideous appearance and four other ghostly children appear.

Ivan sees Enora begin shooting her magic at the child, who then becomes a hideous wraith,"Well I did not see that one coming, lets get down to business," he says as he smiles and steps to the side while drawing bomb and throwing it.
Strafe bomb, 40ft line vs touch AC: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
fire damage: 3d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 4, 6) + 5 = 18

Assuming this wraith has a touch AC below 29, it would take 18 fire damage and the yellow ghost behind it would take 8pts of splash damage (also fire)

Guntir applies the oil of magic weapon to his dwarven longhammer. Then he steps closer to the apparition.

The Red tinted ghostly child steps up and strikes Ivan:
Guntir can take an AoO against this one
Slam Attack, Red: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

The Blue one moves up to Umberto and although the mace strikes true, it seems that some of impact bounces off the gooey creature.

Unable to hit the large Warpriest.
Cassiel drifts up and reaches out her ghostly fingers at Umberto

The Magic missiles strike true again blasting more of the wraith away.
Ivan's bomb blast though some more. Taking out the one ectoplasmic child.
Guntir's reflexes easily dispatch the last child as it attempts to close. And his follow up attack strikes but does not the wraith.
The children are gone before Umebrto acts. I don't see your mace as magical yet. Just Masterwork. You do know that you need to have magic to affect the wraith.
The Wraith is still up. Ser Willem can act, as well as Umberto can modify his actions given the new information.
Ser Willem Dargerion

Willem steps closer to the wraith, attempting to cut it in twain as well.

...not full damage.
Your attack was magical so it did the 50% damage to incorporeal
Ser Willem steps up and with his final strike takes down the wraith and puts the soul to rest.
As silence falls, everyone can sense the evil that has permeated the Drownyard begin to fade. Much has been put to rest and should be gone for good.
J. looks up in the direction of Cassiel. "I wish it did not have to be this way. But sometimes kind words is not enough to put things right. But I feel a calling to help other trapped spirits. But not today."
Grishan nods. "Yes, thank you friends. This will be much for me and J. to work though. But this is a good first step."
Ser Willem Dargerion

Willem sheathes his sword. Looking at the others and then at J. and her companion, he says, "Well, milady, looks like you will have your work cut out for you. The society will be glad to assist you in any further endeavors."
Umberto Ricci

Umberto is simultaneously relieved and disappointed he couldn't do more. We were happy to be of service. Seems between us and Dreng's supplies we had plenty of preparation. Ivan, this will require at least one night of reveling to celebrate. Our deity requires it.

"hehe only wan?" Ivan says in response to Umberto playfully."Well Madam if you are pleased I am pleased."

You put the spirits back to rest and make your way out of the Necropolis. There is a peaceful sense of calm at the school.
With your work in the Precipice Quarter done, A man in a uniform similar to Junia’s, but with more medals and polish, emerges from a side alley at a brisk pace. You quickly recogonize him as Colson Maldis, leader of the Liberty’s Edge faction and older brother of Grishan
“Finally, I found you. I heard around the lodge that a team of Pathfinders was headed in to the Tri-Towers Yard.” Colson bows his head. “My brother was one of many children who died when the earthquake hit. As a result, I take great interest in expeditions leading in to that cursed site. The last Pathfinder expedition seven years ago found his body, and as a result, my family was able to give him a proper burial. Those agents also found some…” Colson pauses, and then continues delicately, “reports about my brother’s after-school activities that would have been quite embarrassing if made public. Did you, by chance, find any information about my brother?”
GM Gustavef
|
You need to decide on what to do with the information packet you found earlier. Give it to Colson Maldis, or do something else with it. For those in the Liberty's Edge, this could be important.
Grishan does not give any queues to expose himself. Currently he is concealed with in J.
Arrius Vext
|
Arrius thinks about the situation for a long time before finally speaking. "When we deceive others, do we not deceive ourselves as well? Is an identity of falsehoods sewn together by obfuscation and half-truths one worth preserving? Heed my counsel thus, good Colson: seek not to conceal thy shame. Ameliorate the burden by sharing it with those who have joined you in this shared endeavour to explore, report, and cooperate."
Ser Willem Dargerion
|
Willem look at the military man and shakes his head. "Perhaps the undine is right. On the other hand, certain information can be used against another if it falls into the wrong hands. That said, any weapon that you wield yourself becomes armor because you take ownership of it. Take the information, but use it to show your humility and respect for those it may have harmed. Make amends. This will go a long way towards your family's rise."

SO I am seeing Arrius and Ser Willem offering the documents to Colson. I will go with that later today unless there is any strong objections.

Not my faction, not my deal
GM Gustavef

Handing the packet to Colson he reviews them. As he does so he definitely frowns but seems somewhat sure that at least the knowledge is secure. "Thank you very much for your consideration. And I will let the lodge know of your actions in this cause." He turns to J. "I hope you found what you need and look forward to seeing you in the future." J. blushes a bit and does not say anything else before Colson takes his leave
On the way back to Dacilane manor J speaks. “Thank you. From me and Grishan too.”
Grishan provides some additional comments, “I always wanted to be an Eagle Knight like Colson. He got his wings so young, and I wanted to follow him anywhere, and fight for freedom, no matter what.” He muses, “I’m not alive anymore, but I can still help Colson. And I think J. and I make a good team.”
| Enora - Arcanist Iconic |
"You make a fabulous team! But I hope that you now learned how dangerous an adventurer's life can be! Choose your path wisely J.!" Enora says with a smile.

---Epilogue---
J. Thanks the party and looks forward to working with them in the future hopefully as a pathfinder.
Several weeks later, Venture-Captain Dreng reports that the haunts at the Drownyard have all disappeared, and he thanks the party for their efforts.

Willem will stay true to his word and visit with J's mother to broker a trade deal. He endeavors to thank and remember the rest of the team.
