Ree will ready an action to attack anyone approaching Lady Q or Zeeva who is brandishing a weapon other than her fellow pathfinders or anyone Zeeva/Lady Q ask to approach.

As everyone looks around, frantically searching through the panicked crowds, no one spots Jaelle as she sneaks up to Carax, driving her shortsword into his ribs however his thick armor causes the blade to bounce right off. Leaving only a wild scratch on the breastplate.

There is an FAQ on this. You check once per opponent, with each successive one the check getting slightly harder. The wording in the manual is poor, this is one of the cases where 3.5 was actually clearer than Pathfinder. Possibly the only one.

Fargrim and Carax, working together cut down the assassin! Ending her elaborate plot, with her only unconscious, you are able to stabilize her and hand her over the Magnimarian authorities.

While in custody, she reveals she was hired by the Scarzni to assassinate Lady Qualstair while posing as a Qadiran to try and set off more hostilities between the two countries.

Zeeva heals Lady Q and Fargrim before "Good work Pathfinders, with the help of the Harrow you averted many a crisis today, I am happy we crossed paths,"

Good job guys, I hope you all had fun, this was one confusing scenario to take over but I hope I did alright. I certainly had fun, I'll be getting the Chronicles out in a bit. You guys earned all the Chronicles boons!

You did well, many thanks for taking this and running it.

I'm still confused a bit. Was there a genuine harrow reading going on at the start ,or was the assassin trying to lay false clues?

I get the assassin was holed up in the lodging house, and a clue there led us to the actors to get help with the disguise kit. (although we jumped ahead and took the harrow hint to go there first). And then both the harrow and the actors led us to the pseudo dragon.

Were the doctored pamphlets there to try and get lady Q to go to the green market as that would be an easy place to attack her? Seems an odd choice of location. What was the point of the pseudo-dragon stuff, or was that just a side distraction and lady Q really did want a pseudo dragon omelette?

On a side note, has anyone heard from Baerlie recently?

Yea a little confusing at times but totally thank you for stepping in to run it, it was a lot of fun!! I really hope Baerlie is okay!

Yeah the Scenario leaves it very open to which order the party does the missions, unfortunately, it can be a little confusing. Raiding the bad guys lair gives valuable clues about the other two locations that can help fill in the party. Yeah those Fake Flyers were there to get Lady Q into a large, crowded public place.

If you guys allowed yourself to get caught up with the Mad Preacher, then you arrive a little later and the Assassin has already poisoned Lady Q, then its a fight to keep Lady Q alive while also trying to catch the Assassin.

You guys did the right thing by just blowing past the guy. It had a very intricate story line, when I run it again I'll definitely have to work on imparting the information the GM gets to the players better. I might not be able to get your chronicles to you until after Christmas. I'd hoped to do it the 23rd but got caught up in wrapping and getting the house ready for family to come over.
