Val, checking in.

Just so that you know what you will be getting yourselves into;
I will roll initiative for everyone.
If you have anything special to use during rolling of initiative - such as tactics domain power - or you have an ability that gives you a bonus in a certain type of environment, please let me know.
Most of the time enemies of the same type will go on the same initiative roll, if I think this would be incredibly unfair to you I might split them up - decided on a case by case basis
I will then group it so that it will be players-enemies-players-enemies
If your name is up in bolt you can post. I'll assume that the order in which things are posted will be the order in which they take place unless you add a comment that you are delaying till after something happens/someone else has acted. If you want to ready an action, please add a comment that it's a ready and include any die rolls needed for your readies action. I'll fit in everything in the order it's supposed to take place in. If some reason some action can't take place anymore I'll adept the a bit to what seems logical (to me) at the time or if there's still time to change your action allow you to do so.
I'll try to check-in a few times a day and post at least once (maybe more depending if I have the time)
If someone hasn't posted for a day once their name came up as bold I reserve the right to put you on delay or NPC you in (which will most of the time be go fully defensive or move to a safe location).
If you haven't posted for more then 2 days I will delay/NPC you in as soon as you are the last one to act, even if 24 hours hasn't passed yet.
If I haven't seen a post from you in over a week without prior notice I will put you on permanent delay until I see a post again.
Example:
Player 1 + readied action player 2
Enemy 1
Player 3, Player 4
Enemy 2, Enemy 3
Damage Enemy 1: X (blinded)
I will sometimes use spoiler blocks with a listed skill and DC, if you make the DC you are free to look at the spoiler and act on the information provided.
This will most of the time include (but not be limited to): (Monster) knowledge checks [If I didn't provide one, you can still roll for knowledge checks..I might just forgot about it or only had time for a quick update]
Some hidden stuff needing perception checks to be found, you can still search for stuff when you feel like it it, but for example looting a room after combat it helps speed things up.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them

All, I'm travelling for the next week, so posting will be eratic for the next seven or eight days.

With this high AC, it may pay for some of the people to use aid another actions. Or we back away from the corner and make him come to us, when we can get flanking again.

That I understand. I was thinking if I moved behind Havern and readied an attack if hobgoblin moved into an adjacent square under the assumption that Havern and Senjin would take a 5' step back. If hobgoblin moved up to attack either of them, my attack would be triggered.
However, as I think about it, I may want to delay like you said to block Senjin from further damage but I'd still like to know the answer for future reference.

As far as I know;
You can not take a 5ft step in the same turn you did a move action
You can take a 5ft step during a readied action
(so moving somewhere, then readying and taking a 5ft step is out, but not moving and readying then taking a 5ft step when it triggers is ok)
Does that answer your question?

Readying an action is a standard action, so you should be able to do that.
ReadyThe ready action lets you prepare to take an action later, after your turn is over but before your next one has begun. Readying is a standard action. It does not provoke an attack of opportunity (though the action that you ready might do so).
Readying an Action: You can ready a standard action, a move action, a swift action, or a free action. To do so, specify the action you will take and the conditions under which you will take it. Then, anytime before your next action, you may take the readied action in response to that condition. The action occurs just before the action that triggers it. If the triggered action is part of another character's activities, you interrupt the other character. Assuming he is still capable of doing so, he continues his actions once you complete your readied action. Your initiative result changes. For the rest of the encounter, your initiative result is the count on which you took the readied action, and you act immediately ahead of the character whose action triggered your readied action.
You can take a 5-foot step as part of your readied action, but only if you don't otherwise move any distance during the round.

Wow, that was quick. I thought this was a small side-quest! I guess those goblins are the ones that have been harassing the caravans.

No boons for anyone this time around.
Thanks for playing, I hope you all had fun.
Yes it's a bit short, but that's part of the reason I picked this one out for the gameday. If you talk to the worg and don't attack it it tends to run short from what I've read.
I'll wait a bit on Waman to see if he will provide his reporting info. I'm a bit busy this weekend (playing PFS RL as well) but I'll try to get the chronicles send out as soon as I can to the people who's reporting info I already have) I'll report the session for the gameday on Monday to give Waman some more time to respond and then close this thread so it won't show up in your active session any longer.

Awesome! Thanks for running the game for us, DM!

Many thanks for this. It was nice to have a bit of a dunegon crawl for a change. Good choice for GD3 as well.

I ended up listing all the scenario's I had played or GMed and which characters had received credit for them. The only way to do it.
Are you thinking of starting up another game soon Revvy?

Game reported for the gameday
And no, right now I'm thinking of taking a bit of a break and reduce the amount of games I'm running ..the extra games I ran for the pbpgame day got a bit much..so looking forward to slowing it down a bit.
But I'm sure I'll run a game (or more) again somewhere next year
