There is a tub filled with water, and a tub filled with sludge. While the tub filled with water looks perfectly comfortable , the sludge-filled tub looks dangerous. It might once have been a good place to go for a mud treatment, but the acidic sludge filling it now might be more to the liking of the demonic kind.

The demons were each wearing a magical necklace, and one of them was wearing a ring.

The cave in the southwest holds a pleasant vision. A starry night sky hides the ceiling of this side cavern. The flowers and vines in this cavern are much less overgrown, and several stone statues are scattered about in random poses. The path continues around a bend in the chamber.

Pushing on, Bruce sees that a large part of the next cavern’s southwest corner is a strange enclosure made from transparent crystal. It seems to be a pen or terrarium with carefully arranged ora inside. Several more stone statues nearby seem to be adventurers or explorers with looks of surprise or horror on their faces. Inside the enclosure, a large, reptilian creature glares with terrible, yellow eyes.

nooo! Thistle screams in silence. With his goggles down, Thistle walks into the room, ready to deal with whatever threat has silenced his friend so they can find a way to deal with the statue of the caped crusader.

Through the hazy sight of his googles, Thistle sees the caped crusader, standing still in stone. The large reptilian creature still lurks behind the glass, now fixing his stare on the Nagaji. Fellgrim follows close behind, unable to see what is happening.

Through the dark glasses, the glare of the creature has no effect on Thistle.

Thistle around the room, his vision clouded and distorted by the goggles. His senses waver erratically as his mind tries to deal with both sight and hearing not working properly.

Focusing, he comes up with an idea, albeit a challenging one. He pulls his backpack off his shoulders, flipping a catch and dumping the contents on the ground. Carefully, he advances on the beast with the deadly eyes, looking for an opening to trap is head within the pack, negating it's powerful ability.

assuming this would be a grapple check, probably grapple first then 'pin'. Goggles give the lizard concealment against me, so 20% miss chance.

Thistle waves his arms, imploring his friends to stop. He bangs on the glass wall that cages off the basilisk, then moves to try and drag the statue out of the room.

Once clear, he grabs some cloth, and ties a blindfold around his friend, Jelani's eyes.

OK, I'll lead Jelani in blindfolded, he can smash the glass while fellgrim and caranthir take the lizard out with bombs and arrows. I'll guard Jelani from attacks with the aid another action, to boost his AC.

Fellgrim shoots his arrow, and the twang of his bow is answered by the scratching of rock. He then hears the familiar sound of Caranthirs bow, which produce a similar sound, but louder and accompanied by more cracking sounds.

In the end, caranthir believes he sees a hole in the crystal wall

Thistle moves back to blindfold a hesitant Jelani.

Caranthir, seeing that they will not be able to kill this thing easily, draws his smoked goggles and puts them on.

Caranthir puts on his smoked goggles, while the deaf, and mostly blind nagaji leads Jelani in.

The baislisk wastes no time jumping forward and menacing Fellgrim.

Thistle stands close to Jelani, holding his shield out. The two shuffle forward to get closer to the lizard.

Reaching the area, Thistle turns Jelani's body towards the lizard and bangs his shield with his morningstar.

He is probably expecting to swing at the glass. Maybe he will get lucky and squish this lizard...

Aid another to give Jelani a bonus to AC. I can't remember what it is, I will look the rule up when I have some time this afternoon. As long as Jelani attacks the right square, he should have a 50% miss chance, in addition to trying to hit the right AC.

Between Caranthir and Jelani, the basilisk stands little chance. Two arrow bore themselves into the leathery hide, and a smash of Jelani's earthbreaker extinguishes the evil light in the reptile's eyes.

The bloodied corpse of the basilisk is no longer a threat...

Thistle breaths a sigh of relief. Just to make sure everything is safe, he takes the blindfold from Jelani's face and then pulls out a knife. Carefully, he digs out the eyeballs of the lizard and places them into the cloth, and wraps them up. Securing them with some twine, he slides the smoked goggles off of his face and back to his forehead.

That's the second time I've had to use those down here...

He shudders when thinking of what else might cause him to have to use them again.

With the threat eliminated, Thistle goes about searching the room and the cage. There was something shiny he thought he saw...

Fellgrim remembers that the blood of a freshly killed basilisk can return stone to flesh. That's how they digest their pray, after all.

Thistle looks around, now without goggles, and sees that the shiny, shimmering thing he saw has now been crushed - it was a large wall of crystal.

Bruce is still eagerly waiting to finish a thought.

Looking for some object that would release Bruce from his stone prison, Thistle grimaces at his ignorance when he sees Fellgrim starting to harvest the lizard's blood. Moving to help, he grabs one of the dead beasts arms and drags the body over to the statue of Bruce.

The process of smearing the blood is disgusting and painstaking, but in short order, the statue is covered.
