Ok, fingers crossed.

Tempting odds, Maladash strides forward.
As he steps onto the first 5ft of the marked area, an expected event happens. The statues suddenly rush forward on their bases via some mechanical system, in collision course with Maladash.

Bullrush, if CMD beat by 10 you fall: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

The statues' impact push Maladash off the bridge, and he plummets 40 feet down, landing with a solid THUD.
Falling dmg: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 3) = 16

Maladash is now at -5 and unstable.

Allrighty then....here's my idea. We tie Mercutio off and lower him down to heal up Maladash and we pull both of them up one at a time, or we lower myself down and tie him up to bring up, then me.

here's my 2cp....Mykel can jump the 10 no problem...got +8 acrobatics...then I can lower a rope to Licen to help him up...then Maladash....then we can send the rope across to the others so they can come across....or have Licen climb up the other side and have him pull the others up one at a time, the Mykel can be last and jump across.

I still didn't use my reroll option on any of you, I think. So I can give for any of us (except myself) a chance to reroll failed climb check. So it's a good idea. I like it.

Give me a refresher here, please: What are we looking at, what do we know, and what are the tools available to us (offered by and within the environment, I don't mean our equipment)?


What you are looking at, is a 10 by 10 feet 'off' area, which makes statues charge you off the bridge, into a 40 feet deep chasm.

What you 'know', is that the 1st 5 feet squares trigger.
Go ahead Mykel, with your plan....you only need to roll a nat 1 to fail.

Licen steadily climbs up the rope, and with a hand from Mykel, gets onto the other side of the chasm.

Maladash heals himself, before trying as well. His first try is promising, but somewhere at 15 feet height, he pauses....accursed itch.
Final climb: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 3 = 6

He too makes it across.

This just leaves Brayden & Mercutio.
With no points to secure it for a proper crossing, they either have to pass the acro check to jump over, or go with Mykel's plan of tying themselves up and enjoy a swing, with 1d6 impact from bashing against the wall, before being pulled up.

it helps i'm wearing studded leather...ACP of -1...which i forgot to apply on my jump...but still made it...lol...i love swashbucklers and rogues now...was always the tanky/dps guy


I'm playing rather mixed. But my very 1st PC was a scythe wielding fighter. 2 years PBP campaign, it concluded only a short while back.

Brayden looks concerned, as Mercutio plummets down.
"Iomedea, grant me the strength to succeed."
He straps his shield to his back.

Jump: 1d20 + 1 - 6 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 6 = 5, he too lands too early, causing the statues to rush the bridge again.

Bull rush: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23, Brayden manages to brace himself and is pushed back to the start.
"Well, it's positive, i suppose. I'll try again."

Jump: 1d20 + 1 - 6 ⇒ (11) + 1 - 6 = 6
Bull rush: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Wow..
Brayden is shoved off too, for 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 2) = 12 damage, and lands with a THUD at -2 and unstable.
