I think we should move the discussions here.

Mudk are you still down HP? I got your con damage healed.

Sugar does not have much to offer in the talks right now.

I suggest we lie about our employer. and I feel that this will come to combat as I doubt they will simply step aside for us.

Gamemaster | CC Map | S4 Map

I'll give you guys until Tuesday to come up with a response, otherwise, in the interest of keeping things moving, I'll assume you're pausing in character for more than a few seconds and have the NPC's act again.

Dark Archive

Male Human Paladin 9 - HP: 74- AC: 24/T:12 /FF: 22, Fort:+14, Ref:+10, Will:+13, CMB:+15, CMD:24, Speed: 20, Perception:-1, Init: +5

I'm at 22 hp and down -6. I never thought to heal after you fixed the con damage.

I'm thinking something along the lines of this:

------------------------------------------------------------------
"Invaded your home? A home full of undead and goblins and spiders like any other abandoned ruin around here? We should be forgiven for not recognizing it as someone's property. Although I do agree that we harmed your guards, what harm we did was offset by removing your rivals in the rooms before this.

Either way we have no intention of looting or disturbing, only of exploring and cataloging. No stealing. You tell us what belongs to you and what items are yours and I promise we will ensure we do not take them. I so swear by Iomedae’s name that any item clearly described by you we will leave alone and untouched.

Additionally, I think we could agree that our movements through these ruins would only serve as an aid to you as we clear out the worst threats leaving you free reign of the place."
-----------------------------------------------
I think that will honestly answer and misdirect her from the fact that we didn't answer her question precisely. This way there is no lying and we're not avoiding our mission. She is unlikely to know the true treasures of any deeper layers and since she can't describe them we don't have to leave them. Any one see any problems?

I think that the small tunnel to the surface that connects to this level is how they go in or out.

however the glowing green spire here may be a beacon for more explorers. perhaps we could convince them to go elsewhere?

I agree. The first of many argument is the best route, especially if we talk about how we cleared the first two levels, leaving this one unprotected.

Gamemaster | CC Map | S4 Map

Jirah:

I think you might have miscalculated the damage on your longbow last round, although I could be missing or forgetting something. You calculated a +6 but the +2 strength bonus, the +1 Point-Blank shot bonus, and the +2 Deadly Aim bonus only add up to +5.

It was typo. The to hit is supposed to be +6, and the date is supposed to be +5. I post from my phone so sometimes I miss it when I hit the wrong number. My bad.

I'll have the chronicle sheets out in the next couple of days. Let's take a couple of weeks off and start back on Monday March 14th for Level 4: Godhome.

For this next particular level, PFS suggests you take it on the Slow experience track to avoid out leveling the dungeon. Depending on how you play, there's also a strong chance you may complete Godhome without getting full credit. If that happens, you can take the level after that on the Normal experience track and stay at a level consistent with what PFS suggests.

I'll have my day job and hex selection up when I get off of work and look at the hex sheet. Thanks for another great level GM!

This is also officially farther than I ran my hometown group through before they split up (military town and people got re stationed, so the table just kind of petered out), so I don't have to pretend to not know what's going on anymore, so that's nice.

My hex will be D2 for this chronicle. Looking forward to the next floor. Probably going to make my bow +1, or invest in some mithril chain mail. Not sure which, but I am positive that I will be taking my next level in wizard so that my fighter levels don't go over the caster level cap set by my trait.

Any suggestions on what level 1 spells to learn and/or prepare?

Gamemaster | CC Map | S4 Map

Okay, all the chronicle sheets are now out. We'll get started on the next level on March 14th. I'll audit the sheets for Core compatibility sometime before that, so please let me know when you're done leveling up, if you haven't already.

One of my main complaints on Pathfinder Society Organized Play is that it sometimes incentivize slaughter for loot. Now, Xakon can be convinced quite easily to forget his loose moral code unless there are babies or puppies involved.

We could use saps and nonlethal force to incapacitate these trogs and plunder their homes, but even that seems excessive.
