@GM: Where on the initiative are we now? Who has to act? ;-)

Still waiting on Rognak and Blaine I believe.

Can we bot them? It has been a while! Or send them a PM?

Scarab Sages

I was hoping to not have to act.

With each swing more and more of the golem is chipped off. A grunt exerted with each contact on the golem’s hard body.

Rognak stayed out of the way of the fighters, a wand ready in case any of them fell.

Get wand of cure light wounds ready in case anyone falls.

The golem takes a large step forward and begins attacking Blaine. Blaine and Hamarabi, fort saves please.

Attack: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (15) + 23 = 38
Damage: 2d10 + 10 ⇒ (7, 7) + 10 = 24
Attack: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 40
Damage: 2d10 + 10 ⇒ (6, 2) + 10 = 18

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

The golem knocks into Blaine, then falls into the pit created by Enora. It finds itself quite contained within the pit, arms nearly pinned to its side in the confining space. You have what seems like 5-6 rounds to work while that golem is contained.

Need a fort save from Blaine also, though he likely succeeds on a non-1.

On failed save take Con: 1d3 ⇒ 2 and Wis: 1d3 ⇒ 1 con and wis damage, respectively.

You may take actions, we're "technically" still in rounds, but as the only opponent is stuck in a deep pit for several more rounds.

Inlaid in the dark granite wall on the west side of this room is a large square indentation. Beneath it lie four rectangular pieces engraved with runes, each radiating a soft light: brown stone, blue metal, red crystal, and white ivory.

You may make a Knowledge (arcana) or Knowledge (engineering) check.

Jistkan:
Within the indentation is a philosophical allegory shared by the Jistkan elementalists. It reads “At the dawn of time, the fires burned until rain quenched their fury down into solid stone, which has always gazed upon the sky above in envy. Demonstrate obedience to the ancient elemental ordering.”

Enora casts detect magic and looks around.

As everyone gathers Hamarabi translates the Jistka writing on the western wall.

"“At the dawn of time, the fires burned until rain quenched their fury down into solid stone, which has always gazed upon the sky above in envy. Demonstrate obedience to the ancient elemental ordering.”

"So the order would be the red crystal, the blue metal, the brown stone, and finally the white ivory. I am assuming that we would use fire, water, earth, and wind to activate them in the correct order."

Enora identifies the indentation as a power source for the complex that is activated by the colored rectangles. Let me know when you insert the stones.

"So long as it stays in the pit that was so generously created for it I don't have an issue with it." Hamarabi makes his way to the now lit platform.

The group, having a sense of urgency as Enora can inform them that pit won't be there but a few breaths longer. You recall previously noticing at the platform’s center is an inlaid gold rune five feet in diameter. The walls are covered in small, tight-fitting ceramic tiles creating an intricate mosaic. The wall around the platform is an exception, bearing three large, clear, triangular quartz tiles.

Jistkan / DC 25 Linguistics:
The gold rune is the Jistkan symbol for “travel,” the three triangular activation controls set into the wall each have a single descriptive rune. You can identify that these tiles read “Left,” "Middle,” and “Right.”

Enora tries to deduce the language with her linguistic knowledge: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

1-L, 2-M, 3-R: 1d3 ⇒ 1

Rognak can make an Intelligence or UMD check to try to activate the rune (as can anyone else). You distinctly feel that one success will allow all on the platform to go elsewhere. Be sure to move yourselves onto this platform if you are there.

DC 15 Int, DC 20 UMD:
Three triangular black crystal platforms with 3-foot-high crenellations hover in the air suspended 200 feet above the cavern’s floor, at the same elevation as the rest of the complex. Each platform bears an inlaid gold rune, copies of the “travel” rune. Each platform also contains two triangular controls, one situated above the other.

This massive chasm has a grand domed ceiling studded with stalactites, barely visible within the multitude of colors racing across the surface. The entire cavern mirrors both the outside weather, including clouds, and the skyline to the horizon. This skyline is interrupted in jagged pieces where chunks of rock have fallen from the ceiling. The bottom of the chasm is lost in darkness.
