Male human (Oeridian) Cleric of St. Cuthbert;

In Canada MST, but it would be a case by case situation for me as my hours are varied at work.

M Wood Olf | HP22/22 Healthy | AC16 F14 T12 CMD17 | F+3 R+7 W+1 | Init +4 | Perc+10+ SM+1 Stealth+9 Survival+6+ Ranger (Ilsurian Archer [Divine Marksman]) 2

I have ideas about how to retrieve the chest. Rab thinks the group needs to deal with the living problems first.

Soak a blanket or carpet and drape it over the chest to trap the spores, then rub the chest down with that cloth, slide it off to the side, and drag the chest away, for one.

But I'm trying to focus where I think the character would be focused.

Just so everyone knows... I am just throwing some ideas on the wall for us to improve the momentum of our game. The RT-PBP doesn't sound effective or doable for our group. I am, has always, open to ideas...

Just so you know I am going to be a bit more aggressive about botting slow posters so we can push the tempo just a bit more. I personally don't like botting because the GM can never actually capture the feel of the character in the manner that the player does... But I would like to see us move a bit faster. So any ideas I am all game for them :)

Rabalar...

That is great idea.. If you noticed I did a INT check for Soros (he got a 10 so it was not successful). It was actually to see if he could figure out another way to handle the chest...IE covering it with a bedroll and pulling it out by a rope or such thing.

The chest is 24' high, 24' deep, and 36' wide solid oak and iron reinforced banding. So it would be heavy...about 60 lbs or so.

Mebbe Rab should beat Soros' roll by a bit to have his player's plan occur to him...

I could probably make the 'being around the PC for an hour or two at a predetermined time to make things move slightly faster' thing work.

This one is not doable for me - I think it means around... 3am on my neck of the woods :D

I think this could work if agreed upon beforehand.

Anyone check for secret compartments in the chest?

All,

This week I would really like to work for a 1 post a day minimum during the weekdays so we can build up some momentum. If you can post more that would be great and I will try and match it!

Jack

If I understood right, the chest didn't get opened. Grond just lifted it and it was too light to have anything in it? And you didn't hear anything shifting around in it. ??

The other chest was covered in mold so Grond left it alone.... Know-Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Mold can be very dangerous, but I hear that vinegar works wonders at killing/cleaning it....

@DM: I'm posting as much as I can, but we've been bogged down a little so there isn't much "push" potential with posts.... I imagine once we actually set off for Saltmarsh the momentum should be achieved...

That is correct. The chest had weight but it felt as if nothing was actually in it. Nothing was shifting in it as well. The other one is covered in dust, cobwebs, mildew, and mold.

Hey. I have surgery in the morning. Pretty minor, but it IS surgery. Outpatient, with a normal "don't work" period of 2 days, and a "no exertion" period of like 6 weeks.

I should be giving all my games another pass this evening, but I make no promises for the next day or two.

What is it? An umbilical hernia repair. Surgeon says I have multiple hernias right there together. All I know for sure is the general practitioner who referred em to the surgeon had it right when he said it looks like I'm going to give birth to a Titleist.

Was at the hospital from about 0730 till about 1615. Home. reasonably awake, and medicated. The entire area over the hernia and belly button is under s bandage I'm not supposed to touch until Saturday, so all I know is I have some ugly looking injuries from where the laparoscopic entry points were on my left side. Not as limited in my movements this morning as I thought I would be, which is good. Abdominal muscles are a little tight, though. Don't think I can blame them. I figured they would be a LOT more mad than they seem to be.

That is good news!. As long as an alien doesn't come bursting out looking for a Halloween treat you should probably not touch them :)

My wife's scars and injuries from her broken ankle where the rods were all placed just finally healed. She had a really bad fracture blister is still healing from where the tibia was pressing against the soft tissue internally that still looks bad. I am amazed how far along we have come in after-surgery and wound care. I remember both my ankle surgeries taking forever to heal and the rehab was painful.

Just make sure you don't do to much and take care of yourself!

Just a heads up. Looks like my RL group is going to push out the start of our new campaign another six months. To much RL going on for few of them and we want everyone to be involved.

I have decided to start a PF AP to get some additional gaming in. To make life easier as far as game management I wanted a PF AP the already was using PFE1. I have been reading over Shattered Star, Second Darkness, and Reign of Winter. I finally opted on Shattered Star as it is PF1E rule set and I like the premise. I really liked Second Darkness but it is the older 3.5 rule set and looking at it there would still be a lot of modifications to it.

I plan on a group of five to six max and I will have some house rules but nothing like our campaign. I will have it up shortly with the details. Working on putting everything together.

Jack

I am going to bot D’ogryn until Jovich can dive back in.

I'm up for it Jack. Shattered Star has always piqued my interest. Let us know when you link to recruitment...

@All, as a heads up, if anyone is going to run a PF2 game let me know, I really want to come to grips with the new rulest and don't have enough local RL options.

No problem Eric. I totally understand. I like quality over quantity so I totally get it.

Here is the recruitment link for Shattered Star Shattered AP Campaign 2019

I should have posted this sooner but forgot to.

Hmmm, I never played through Shattered Star... Though I really don't know if I can tackle another game. I need to mull over if I will be applying :P

Thank you for the heads up ALLENDM!

Posting has been slow this week.

The AP really interested me. I really liked Second Darkness but it would have been a big conversion even if you use another conversion guide from someone else. Shattered Star is just a very classical Indiana Jones/Mummy type adventure.

Wow! It must be popular. Lots of submissions already. Guess I'll just watch....

Question about Cure Minor Wounds. Since it's not normally an option I forgot about it. Is there a time limit on when it can be cast? And can I cast it on myself?

Cure Minor Wounds (HR mod):

Cure Minor Wounds (Cleric 0) is introduced as a cantrip/orison and is HEALING domain. It is identical to Cure Light wounds, except it heals exactly 1 hit point with each cast and has a casting time of 1 full-round action. This is added to the spell list of all classes capable of casting both Cure Light Wounds and possessing 0th level spells. It doesn’t stop Bleed damage nor does it stabilize a character. It only cures 1 hp of current damage for each wound received in a day. He can apply cure minor wounds to those wounds each day.

No time limit. Takes 1 round to cast, it will not stop BLEED, and it can only be applied once a day per wound received. So if you are hit in combat twice and hit by a magic missile once that is three wounds...so you could apply CMnW three times for 3hp each day until you are healed. The big drawback to CMnW in 3.5 was you could just keep casting it. With the added limitations and length of time to cast it falls back into an orison/cantrip spectrum.

Six books and 1st level to 17th level by the end of it.

I'll note over here that some of those submissions are . . . unusual enough I am concerned about playing with them. I am considering not applying so that I don't run the risk of becoming a blunt object used against other potential players. I don't want to influence Jack's choices, because he deserves to run with the group of PCs that he thinks will keep him entertained.

An online AP is a really long haul game if it survives to the end.

And there are NOT that many applications so far, just a lot of interested posts.

Ehrmagherd. Almost my sentiments exactly. Then again, I could be one of those unusual submissions... ;)

Don’t worry about that. I am pretty conservative in my decision making when it comes to party make up. Which is why I tend to read through player’s previous posts and look at their drop out rates. I also look at their previous builds.

We will also probably get some more submissions.

I am travelling today and tomorrow, but will look over the Shattered Star Player's guide and see if the concept fits.

Wait... Are Tieflings allowed ALLENDM?

Meh. Since he has the ALL GOOD requirement, AND we are all going to be Pathfinders working an assignment together, I don't know how important a moral compass might prove to be.

Races Allowed: Core races (I prefer the core races). Gnoll, Hobgoblin, Orc, and Skinwalker is also open as long as Alignment rules are followed. I would also add that a good background, description, and demeanor of the character for the standard races I mentioned would help.

So no...:)

I do love paladins, but that 2+Int to skills per level is horrendous, even with a 25 point build...

Though I may have settled on a stat spread I can live with:

STR 16
DEX 12
CON 14
INT 14
WIS 8
CHA 16

I should have a character tomorrow ALLENDM ;)
