So it looks like it arrived in country on the 16th and then "arrived at international carrier" the next day and hasn't moved since. It doesn't tell me who this "international carrier" is or where inside of Australia they are located in relation to you, so I'm not sure how long is too long to get to you, and my guess is that UPS (the original shipper) probably doesn't have a great handle on it from afar, but I'll give them a call in the morning (it's 2 am local time here) and see what I can get out of them.

I got a notice about a delivery attempt yesterday - but will not be able to pick it up at the carrier station today, so it'll be until next week before I learn more...

Yeah, I think you're just going to have to wait on the post office to deliver it. It would be the same thing here in the States if the post office was delivering it the "last mile". On the bright side, that means (depending on your post office's speed, the package's 'class', and where the package came ashore) that you should probably have it in hand this next week. I'll have to remember to send stuff to you two weeks in advance instead of just one.

That's weird the package should only weigh like half a pound. I would have thought it could fit inside the door or even in your mailbox (if they are allowed to do that in Austria--only the US Post Office is allow to use that in the States).

It looks like everyone else at least got a note about theirs except perhaps Victoria which I am looking into, and Posh--who never gave me his address--somewhere in Israel I think. Hold off spoiling them until Alia, and Zokon tell us they got theirs.

I do hope my SO got to pick it up today. The pickup station is a bit out of the way for us, but now I'm REALLY curious.

(Short rant: there's a significant problem with any shipping around here not done by regular mail service or amazon - basically all the other carriers don't even TRY to deliver it, then just place it on pickup in whatever contracted location has available space. It's a mess, you have to follow these contract locations times of business, and they can be rather far away from where you live. If today did not work out, I'll try and make a detour tomorrow to fetch it.)

They're really neat aren't they? I wonder if I can shake some life in my old miniature paints and risk trying to give it some colour. We'll see if they cooperate.

I never really got into miniature painting, but I do have a friend who does Tabletop stuff (Warhammer and others) - been a while since we were in contact but maybe he'd be up for some contract work :)

In other news, my two small ones passed conjunctivitis on to me. Been out for the last couple days, now catching up again everywhere.

He actually made and painted purity seals for his Terminators. Like, with script. I think he used Sindarin.

I do think he could do the hair stripe - if he finds time and I can get back into contact with him - contact faded out when he moved.

Interesting.
I am aware animated objects are usually mindless - but I figured this one would be a security feature of sorts, and hoped it would be imbued with limited sentience(e.g. to recognize it's master and automatically open).
So either it's command-word activated (any way to find out?) or it's not even a security-feature, after all...
