Baris the Monke
"So what are we doing with him then, does he need to see something?" Baris seems a bit perplexed.
Turning to the new one, "What do you want up here? Are you just curious?" Baris questions.
Azulth the Slayer
Azulth stands a little taller and gives his voice a slightly more imperious air, since these two obviously seem to be thinking of him as a superior. At least, it seems that way...
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (6) + 21 = 27
"Not yet, you haven't," he replies to Nalada's comment on protocols, "but you're coming dangerously close. I want a full report, and I want it simple. And keep in mind, please--I had a bit of an interesting time, last night, so explain things clearly."
Bluff: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (1) + 38 = 39
Gah! The dreaded Nat 1 on a Bluff! To be fair, I am going on just about nothing, making things up totally on the spot, so it makes sense that I'm not telling the best lies of all time.
GM Wolf
No auto fail on skills, lucky you!
"Hylock Verstilla 6th mage mayor of Maykth. At your service Master, barrier is optimal, population is compliant, no incidents to report besides the flying castle. Production of magic and wish items nominal, waiting for more stock to continue orders. No travelors in the past two months besides the Mycian honor guard and yourself with your retainers." The one robed in blue answers still kneeling. Nalada just stands there still bowing.
Azulth the Slayer
"Yes, my retainers... I should like a look at your stock, once my Head Tinkerer returns from the castle. Until then, what were the Mycians doing in the region?" Azulth starts walking with the pair, his hands behind his back. I hope this works...
Zaindari Aerah
"No, i wasnt going to leave the new flame priest unattended! The others were strangely ambivalent about his arrival. I welcome your sharp surveillance, however."
"How? I'm not....I never told you....?" Zaindari asks
Then he answers the other... "I am looking for the device that caused the castle to move" he nervously taps his fingers on his staff
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"Told me what? And as far as what caused the castle to move.... I do not know. We were all talking to some annoying mage downstairs when it happened."
GM Wolf
"They will walk with you, but they are on one side of the barrier and you are on the other side. [b]"Master you know you will have to wait for proper morning before one of your sections turns off. But at that point I will gladly guide you. The Mycians were hunting for those who oppose you, as is their mandate, honestly I think they were looking for the desert mage that just arrived from what they said." Hylock relays to you.

Baris smiles, and that smile just gets bigger, he is obviously a bad liar, or does not hide his emotions.
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"I saw the spark of life magic within you. That is rather rare for non-priests."
Azulth the Slayer
"Ah, but of course. In the meantime, I'd like a full reception, either now or soon. I'm tired of traveling in disguise... and I'd like entertainment. You know what kind I mean, surely?" Azulth winks to the man. "A girl, not too young, but not too old. Somewhere to stay, somewhere private. And also rooms for my retainers." He stands there tapping his foot as though impatient and unbelieving that he hasn't been appeased yet.
Bluff: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (13) + 38 = 51
Zaindari Aerah
"I saw the spark of life magic within you. That is rather rare for non-priests."
I told you. I am guardian of life's flame. I am no priest." Zaindari glares, "you are an armored machine with a soul, I don't make the assumption that you are a ghost possessing a suit of metal!"
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"no offense was meant. I just saw life magic, you talk of prophecy and morality. I drew the easy conclusion. Perhaps in error, but it is of no consequence."
Zaindari Aerah
"no offense was meant. I just saw life magic, you talk of prophecy and morality. I drew the easy conclusion. Perhaps in error, but it is of no consequence."
Not every person with a sense of right and wrong is a cleric or holy warrior. Do not assume or your pride will blind you." Zaindari seems to dismiss the subject.
turning to the other person with a knowing smileSir, did you take this castle through the lightning path?
Baris the Monke
"Yes siree bob, allowing it to go where it needed. I didn't know that we would be far flung into the future, and what a future it looks like." Baris replys to Zaindari.
"Sorry mage, he was speaking to me." Baris quips at Alton a mischievous grin on his face.
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
i actually mentioned the basement mage as the one we were talking to when the whole place shifted. as far as Bertram knows, that is what was happening when the shift occurred
Baris the Monke
"No, why should I be more clear, it is fun this way." Baris says to Alton.
Sorry Bertram, that doesn't ring a bell for me, mind clarifying.
GM Wolf
All of a sudden you feel a great weight upon you.
Baris jumps as if startled, he gets serious real quick. "No time to chat now, get the others back up here NOW, Efritti threat coming this way! Bertram how much time do we have?"
Once told he runs off into the castle.
After Baris leaves you in a matter of moments, he is speaking to you in your head again. "I am preparing the time machine once again, tell me when everyone is up here!"
Azulth she bows and leaves.
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"Under an hour. I'll get the others."
Once that is said, Bertram hops on his weird mount and flies off the edge of the castle in a high-speed dive down to the others, stopping and circling long enough for him to tell the others, "Incoming threat, return to the castle!"
He speeds off instantly, cutting off any argument in the hopes of finding Tate. he has the Scent ability, survival: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 and the mount has a fly speed of 100ft.
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
Soon after the others one by one, enter the room...
The researcher sees the kobold and puts down his pen and swivels in his chair. "Greetings, ahhhh, more guests. just call me Master Jahns. I have been looking for a place just like this for the past few decades and when I give up on it, I find a scroll to transport me here. Interesting how that is. So Dr. Bertram are you the new caretaker of our floating castle? No this room was here, I just spruced it up a bit with some of my energies and spells." The elf says in a joyful manner.
Master Jahns is the one i was thinking was the one who did the time hop, since Bertram didn't see anyone else do it and knows of no other power points aside from the throne and the heart.
Terrible Terry Tate
looking up out of his rage at the odd flying thing sniffing at him
What are you looking at? he sniffs morosely
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"You. There is a great danger approaching, we must hurry to the castle."
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"I've been called tin man before. I am not sure i follow your line of questioning."
Terrible Terry Tate
errmm... well you're clearly from that golemn, he seemed an alright person. Any chance you have a good way to the castle? I really don't have my head right to be mixing up alchemical items, and Billie isn't here to ride back he sniffs a little at the thought of Billie
What kind of a danger? I could really use a good fight to clear my head! he half smiles at the mechaniation at the thought of getting to beat something up
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"You can ride back with me. As for the danger, Baris seems to know what is going on. We will see him when we get up there."
Terrible Terry Tate
he climbs on and tests the weight first
you're not near as soft as billie
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"That is true, this is not soft, but it requires no food and can fly."
Tinkerer pilots the weird mount to fly up to the castle, flying by the other group to assess their progress towards the castle.
Achroma
Archoma rushes around, stopping in the building.
"What's the problem here?"
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"Incoming danger. Believed to be efreeti. Note the flying ziggurat," Tinkerer says, pointing to it in the distance.
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"Not a bad idea, although I don't imagine I have anything they want. In any event, I am in ill shape to fight."
GM Wolf
Bertram I am going to assume you spoke to Achroma the kobold and looked at Azulth, then flew back up to the castle to Zaindari the fire 'priest', where you are now with Tate.
Hylock looks at Azulth with a questioning look, "Master why are your retainers scurrying like rats before your coming inferno?"
Azulth the Slayer
Azulth returns Hylock's stare. "They're new." Inferno?
Bluff: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (20) + 38 = 58
He then throws his cloak back and grabs the edges. "That said, I think I'll return to the castle to greet the guests. I'll expect all that I requested after we finish this dealing, though. Don't disappoint me, Hylock Verstilla." With that, Azulth activates his cloak's magic and soars back up to the castle.
"Right. Any idea what in Golarion, the Nine Hells, the Abyss, anywhere, is going on?"
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"let's ask Baris. Just because it is a danger doesnt mean it'll attack." Tinkerer focuses on his bracers to get a report from the heart.
GM Wolf
Now that you all are in the castle you can feel as if there is a great weight on your body. You feel a bit nervous, if Fail Will DC 20 you would also be quite scared.
"The Tinkerer" Dr. Bertram
"With the tiny one-legged one gone, the throne remains open. I would take it myself, but the Heart is enough for me to manage. The only thing i know about the throne is that it is a place of power within the castle, and it can allow you to see around the outside of the castle. There are probably other powers. Someone should sit there. I will be in touch."
With that, Bertram leaves the group and heads down to the Heart, shutting the chamber behind him.
