To avoid cluttering Gameplay up with too much OOC chatter about what to do with the Scorched Hand, I'll try and briefly summarize Aleris' feelings here:

(1) She'd actually be willing to bring Khelru and Azaz along, as she's already stated
(2) She's pretty sure there's going to be some opposition to that idea
(3) She's not invested enough to argue the point if enough of the party don't want them to come with
(4) Letting some of them go (Khelru, Azaz, Idorii) or turning them all over to the Pharasmins will also work for her
(4) If it gets floated as an option, she's going to oppose executing any of them here and now - even Velriana but especially Azaz

I altered my post shortly after I posted to allow everyone in the team a chance to chime in. Aleris and I are of one mind on this issue.

No executions, but if the team votes to turn them all in to the Church of Pharasma, I'm okay with that.

I'm looking forward to hearing Polux's statement.

While Deseri would be willing to vote for an execution she knows that would not fly with the group. But they raised their weapons on her family and that means their life is forfeit.

But since I know that will not get a big vote then my vote is that they all face justice. Pharasma is mean!

Went back and double checked. You went shopping for clothing when Kito wasn't there. As far as I can determine, this is another situation where the character (who can be fairly oblivious at times) doesn't know what you've got planned.

I think that Harmose, Aleris, Qari and Deseri bought clothing for you as well when they went shopping. I'm not sure if they ever informed you though.

Samy... A weird question. By being a lawful group, have we lost out on all the treasure from the crypt? I've been trying to consider how Harmose should have handled the prisoners.

He's not the type to strip them before delivering them to the temple. Would that be standard practice in Wati? Wouldn't that engender poor will from the church, who'd be less likely to trust us and give us good assignments?

I'm just wondering if I've seriously messed up here, or if there is room for the treasure coming via alternate means -- a reward from the Church for taking care of a known problem.

Well since you ask, I assume you want to be spoiled. :)

Now, the banquet is going to be fairly involved with a lot of RP interaction, so I am going to make the decision to put this game on hold until after the holidays. I don't want anyone, myself included, to feel pressure to log in during important family holidays. Enjoy Christmas or whatever your flavor of holiday is, and we'll get started with the banquet after New Year. Time for a 2 week break or so.

Unless you all have a fairly unified objection, then I'm willing to go with the majority.

A break would be perfectly fine with me, though if enough of us want to continue then I'm happy to post as I can :)

As in most things I can go both ways ;) I love this game and I understand the want to spend the holidays with people who are physically in front of you. I do know new years weekend will be busy for me with the drinking and then gaming if I am not badly hungover.

I do love that this game can take big breaks and everyone is able to get right back into the game. That is freaking awesome!

While I am still available to post here, I am perfectly happy with taking a break here, as work/holidays is taking up a lot of my time.

A holiday break would be a godsend. Can we post a date of return?

I agree with Deseri. There are some campaigns I would worry somewhat about having an extended hiatus (even for holidays) but not this one - everyone always comes back after a posting lull or at least checks in (if their RL is busy). That says a lot :)

And yes, restarting around Jan 4th/5th sounds like a plan to me! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

The hiatus could not have come at a better time, as the holiday season wasn't as pleasant as I had expected, with both my wife and youngest falling sick for the best part of it (some sort of persisting, annoying flu...)

It was a fairly crappy holiday for me as well. Somehow over the last couple months I managed to tear my right rotator cuff. I started physical therapy last week and it's miserable. My MRI isn't until the morning, but I've had this before on my other shoulder, and I remember the symptoms pretty well, unfortunately.

So my holiday was pretty yucky too, lol. Glad they are over and I can get back to work and regular posting!

Polux, I'm gonna say I'm not gonna get back to the scene with Sigrun at this time. There's too much stuff going on with the banquet and it'll get confusing real quick if I start doing retcon scenes in the middle too.
