In theory, +8 Perception mod and might have not been surprised by the spears and surprise round. Not sure it matters, but let it be noted that he might have acted before the spears came a-piercin'.

With double move, should only be about 10' away from baddies...in theory.

In theory, yes, but I don't know any of your stats, Cargas. :) You can take off the flat-footed damage (2 hp), though.

Combat map should be up now. And I'll be very glad to get back to games that have nice 5-ft. squares instead of 10-ft. all the time -- will make it much easier on the map.

The ape continues to watch the splashing and the slashing and the gnashing. He holds position, shaking Nim a little, and holding him up in the direction of the fight, as if it will motivate the half-orc to wake up and actually do something.

Despite his words, Budos is able to dispatch the last of them, leaving you all alone in the dark cavern, the brisk water quickly clearing of blood. Gezza, you didn't need to use that last splintered spear.

Gezza splutters, and then casts a cantrip of magical detection, scanning the floating squidlings for goodies.

To your surprise, you detect a magical aura in the far corner of the cave. Making your way over there, you realize it comes from a hat -- a tri-corne you easily recognize as one worn by Sandara.

Gezza retrieves the hat, taking time to wash it off and swims back over to Brood. He hands it to him without a word.
