the room is big enough you can all fit and get into melee with the mephits, there are two mephits, which will last 1 round, no use putting them on the map.

What is this guiding light spell you speak of, I don't see it in the players handbook

Elaith, that is a hit, only for you to find out it is immune to fire.

Three and Zakan kill a smoke mephit, then the one alive goes, it will make a claw attack against Three, then Nileera moves up and hits the final one but does not kill it.

The one that died burst into smoke. all attacks for this round will be at disadvantage round 2, heroes are up

Peering through the smoke, Nileera attempts to move some of the billowing darkness by swinging wide with her shield with enough time to get a glimpse of the creature. Following the shield, the drow steps forward, and brings her sword in a horizontal slash.

Understood, you don't want to be in melee, Elaith can throw dagger, after all it will be recovered, it is off str, but you can do it from 20 feet away
hit: -1 + 1d20 ⇒ -1 + (19) = 18
hit: -1 + 1d20 ⇒ -1 + (16) = 15

Yeah, he did it, otherwise they would have gotten an attack off, of course Nileera would have killed it after their turn, still prevent them from doing damage to an ally. Heroes search the room and find gold.

Waiting for the smoke to clear, the drow spots the glint of gold in the light of her spell.

"Is everybody alright? If so, I spy with my little eye, something that begins with T. Treasure, and since we all have taken some part of this bounty, perhaps we split it evenly?"

Roleplay this scene out if you want, the other door isn't locked and has no traps, but I will want to know who is leading the way for now, who is middle and who is back line. Exact order not needed

"I'll cover the rear. We don't want anything sneaking up on us. Although I do not have any reliable ranged weaponry on my person. It will also give Elaith and I a chance to talk, I haven't had a conversation with a learned person in quite some time. Perhaps we both can learn something new."

Heroes enter a large rectangular room.
Crudely executed symbols and glyph, scribes in bright green dye, decorate this large and irregularly shaped crumbling chamber. A large pit in the center shows evidence of a recent fire. A metallic cage in the middle of the southern wall contains a gaping hole and stand empty. A small wooden bench draped with green cloth is next to the cage, and several small objects rest on it. A bedroll lies near the wooden bench, and the south of whimpering comes from inside it. There are five exits in this room, ever wall has two doors.

Three draws his blade and moves over to the whimpering bedroll.

"So, what's going on here?"

"Oh? I'm flattered." Elaith smiles to Nileera.

He hears the whimpering and notices Three moving closer to its source.
"Something broke out of the cage, probably," guesses Elaith. "And whoever is inside might have seen what happened. Try to unfold the bedroll, but be careful."

Yolanda looks around at the room and shakes her head.

"What kinda place is this suppose to be? All those doors?? How could you ever defend such a spot...unless not all the doors are real!"

As the others examine the noise in the bedroll, Yolanda takes a closer looks at the doors (but not opening or touching them..yet)

Investigation?: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Not sure if her Stonecunning would give her any kind of bonus on this roll or not

Yolanda is able to detect simple arrow traps or alarm traps on 2 of the doors, the rest look safe. They are easily disabled. like the dc to disable them was 5, but not easy to spot.

As some heroes go to the bedroll, a kobold comes out. It crawls up into a ball holding its body together, it looks down, afraid to look up at the heroes. It understands common, but if you want to speak to it, it will only reply to Draconic

The drow pushes her way towards the front while the arrow traps are disabled. She approaches the kobold, putting away her spear, keeping her shield, but kneeling to help the creature at it's level.

"A kobold, but a wounded one? Excuse me kobold, can you understand me? If you can, are you hurt?"

At Zakan, there is no crit failure on skill checks, you have a +5 on thieves tools, roll a 1 and you have it. But for future reference, yes you can take 10 on future check.

It hears Nileera but does not respond, it then replies to Elaith in Draconic You are the second person to ask me that within the past minute and the answer is no, but the goblins spread throughout this place need to die, we are at war with them, that is why I was in here. He is still shaken up.

Elaith translates to his companions what the kobold says and since it seems that the kobold is quite all right, he continues with questions.

The kobold points at Nileera and speaks in Draconic. She was the first to ask me if I was hurt, but she asked me in common, for all I know she could be a spy, you on the other hand asked in Draconic, so in theory you must be trustworthy. PS, dumb goblins don't know Draconic.As far as the cage, this is a result of war, I don't know the details I was tied up and stuffed in this sleeping bag. More of my kobold friends are here in the dungeon.

"The kobolds are at war with the goblins," Elaith realys to the others. "He doesn't know what happened here, he was tied up and stuffed. He says there are more kobolds in this dungeon dungeon."

He then asks the kobold. [draconic] "Do you have a map of this place? Or can you at least describe the layout?"

Yolanda looks at the kobold with unconcealed disgust.

"Well we should just step aside and let the two of them kill each other, them sweep in and mop-up whatever is left!"
