Jix Rissi |

As chaos erupts in the room in an instant, Jix does her best to remain calm under pressure and stick to the shadows for now. If she were to be caught in this state she certainly wouldn't last long. Still, as a surfeit of skunks began to appear in the room and let rip on the hapless thieves it was all she could do to stifle her laughter as she silently edged her way toward the chaos.

"Owl" |

The room was still dark but the sound of battle carried. And that was his cue. Owl stepped out of the doorway momentarily and launched the stone far into the darkness to the other side of the warehouse, or as close as he could get. There is a deafening bang like a thunderclap as it hits the ground.
Hit floor a fifth increment, AC 5: 1d20 + 5 - 10 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 10 = 15
Aiming for yellow circle 50ft away. Terrible time to get a damn crit. Not aiming at anyone. If the sound goes through those crates then two enemies have to make DC 15 fort saves or be deafened.

Lía Neve |
The quick glance that Lía got into the room, even with her eyesight was scary. There were a lot of people on that catwalk, and all of them seemed to have ranged weapons. So she took a step to the side, out of view of some of them, and tried to make the one on the right their friend.
Both her hands came together, and she cast the spell again, projecting it out to her target. "Anuhsir."
"Quick friend, get over here!"

Irian sharply sucked in his breath as a crossbow bolt appeared in his shield a few inches from his face, but otherwise kept his composure as the thieves fired down on him. If they were shooting at him, it meant that they weren't shooting at his companions, so he chalked that up as a win.

Sickened means you take -2 on damage rolls as well, I believe. If that is true, did you want her to attack the skunk twice to kill it, or still hit me twice? Lía Neve |
With her other "friend" gone, Lía was nearly indecisive about who to cast the spell on next. While the fight continued, it was so chaotic to see that she instead went with one of thugs that Irian was fighting. She knew the others were supposed to be coming to help, but she could not count on it, so she felt that she had to do what she could to try to keep them from being overwhelmed.
Since Irian was in the middle of fending off attacks from the both, but had just landed a hit on the one closest to the door, she instead cast the spell at the one that was furthest from the door. The double hand gesture was made and the word spoken again, hoping that this was going to keep working.
"Anushir."

Owl, take a double turn next round. Also apologies, I meant to update this last time I was on the boards, but had to prep for a hackathon.
Forgot the damage penalty Median, that would be two strikes to the skunk to kill it. then the last one to you.
Also, seems like I missed a chance to confirm a crit on Owl, but since its my blunder I'll forgo it this time.
Median tries to fend on this savage attacker, but while her skunks had been able to sow chaos, her sword swings don't have enough strength behind them.
Jix is able to slink, as one wayward glance by an enemy could cost her life.
Irian does good work as he musters a large amount of strength to fell the man in a singe blow.

A familiar confused look crosses over the man's face, but he keeps his guard up as he fights against Irian.
Confession time, I forgot about how the skunks had sickened a couple rouges and had them attack as normal. Given my generalized attack blocks, I didn't really specify which attacker rolled which attack. We'll keep moving forward for now, but I'll give a bump in the rewards for forgetting to account for the imposed conditions. Apologies!

This was not Owl's preferred engagement range but sometimes one couldn't be picky about things like that. Owl manages to dodge enough to avoid getting stabbed somewhere important. Jix couldn't help but wince as she witnessed the cleric being torn apart by the woman-beast. It made her ad an extra spring to her step as she made her way out of the room. Lía looked surprised as Jix showed up, and spared her a quick shrug before beckoning her new friend over to give him the same rundown that she had given the ones prior. "Hi, I'm Lía, and you... might know Jix?", she said, a little uncertain. Momentarily, she was wondering where she came from, but kept her eyes on the task at hand.
"We couldn't get to you in time before the fight, but the guard are in on it. The codephrase is 'the noodles were wonderful', hurry up and go before too many people get hurt." Realizing something, she caught their arm before they departed. "Be careful", she cautioned with a bright smile.

For clarity sake, when Lia whammies someone with charm (the spell I mean), I make the thugs have a mindset of confusion and hesitancy, not directly doing as asked, but not being completely violent unless provoked again.
Irian swings his blade forcefully, but surprisingly his blow is thrown back by the alchemist's raw feral strength.
Owl does draw a bit of blood, but its clear that the intellectual is much more proficient at setting up engagements, and a battle of steel is swiftly pushing him back.
Median tries to provide healing, but the pain of the attack causes her to drop the spell.
The thug that Lia's enchanted hears her message, but frowns.
"I dunno, can't trust the guards here... Just stick with me and the boss and we'll be alright yeah?"
He doesn't move to attack or leave your side, but he isn't going to the guards.
Jix for simplicity, we'll say you can see your gear through the open door in the other room. If you want to don your armor quickly, we'll say it takes another round, or you can just go in with your crossbow.
[ooc]Caught another snafu, I accidentally did damage wrong on Median last round. The claw attacks would have been 1d4 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 - 2 = 31d4 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 - 2 = 1 damage totaling to 4 damage rather than the 10. If that means your spell went off, please go ahead and follow through with that action.

Irian's face betrayed his surprise as his sword is turned aside by the alchemist-creature, his poised demeanor not enough to keep a cry of pain escaping his lips as the thing managed to both bite and scratch him. The warrior was startled by another trio of bolts flying in at him, but blew a sigh of relief as his armor turned them all aside.
Gritting his teeth, he again swung at the creature that seemed to be leading the thieves, not eager to allow it to keep attacking him.

Jix Rissi |

Jix shrugs at Lia's response and continues to look around for her items. Finally, her crossbow and gear catch her eyes and she gives a wicked smirk. It was finally time for her to get involved in the fight.
She quietly made her way over to her gear and grabbed her crossbow, bolts, and her master stealth tool then wound up the crossbow with a bolt, eager to jump into the fight as soon as she was done, these bastards were gonna pay for every scratch they gave her, by Calistria, they were gonna pay a hundred fold.

"Probably not", Lía responded to her friend, peeking around the corner at the fight that was going on before shuffling to the other side of the doorway to peek out again, carefully. "The guard is outside, and not all are in on it. They want all of you out, and our only choice was to go in like this. I don't think they'd spare anyone if they were in our place."
The gesture was performed again, casting the magic out at the beast woman that she guessed was the "Boss". "...Anushir."
Glancing over her shoulder, she looked at her enemy turned friend— if only temporarily. "At least this way, we get some of you out."

I'm pretty sure after this round, the alchemist is no longer sickened. Correct me if I'm wrong Median.
A bound series of attacks by the party as Jix's bolt hits a crate rather than an enemy, sending a burst of wooden shards scattered on the floor. Irian almost connects, but the alchemist is just able to duck his sword. Median tires her hand at the blade as well but finds her attack forced back by the sheer strength of the bestial alchemist.
From your position Jix, I'd argue three could maybe spot you. I don't belive cover applies here as that only adds bonuses to AC and reflex
Do they see Jix: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Do they see Jix: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Do they see Jix: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Huh, they all do.
"That f%*@in' rat got loose!"
"I got 'er, one bolt should be enough."
One of the rogues takes a shot at Jix while everyone else continues to try and beat down Irian.
Attack Jix: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Attack Irian: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

"How does he keep deflecting our shots!?"
"He's a f+@$ing lunatic, he is!"
Lia, giving him circumstantial +2 as you're trying the same line of convincing on him for the same bluff, but he still likes you.
Charisma opposed: 1d20 + 4 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 2 - 1 = 17
Lia, you can see the man mentally battling with his wits, trying to decide what to do.
"F-Fine." he finally decides. "But we're going to have a talk about this later."
And he scampers out the door.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Owl attempts to sneak up on one of the thieves on the catwalk, but then an errant step creaks the walk and alerts the nearest one. He smiles as he drops his crossbow and draws his shortsword.
He already attacked Irian, but now he has a melee weapon in hand.
Players up!
Can I also just say how incredibly frustrating someone charming half the gang into just walking outside is? It's so amazingly great! But so deliciously infuriating. I love it!

Median Zeroux |

Sounds right about her not being sickened anymore. Honestly, I haven't been counting, but it feels like four rounds. :)
Irian still seems okay, so Median swings her short sword again instead of channeling.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Apparently, she should have paid more attention when she was learning swordplay though.

Irian Davies |

Again came the clatter of bolts around Irian and against his armor as he kept his focus on the rat-monster-thing, keeping his defenses up between the vicious looking claws and his person. After shoving aside her attacks, Irian counters, hoping for better luck this time around.
Longsword, PA: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 1 = 10
Thinking about it, the warrior decided he wanted to infuriate the guildmembers further by taunting them, purposefully missing with his swing and leaving himself open.

Jix Rissi |

Jix hissed as the thief's bolt embedded itself in the wall directly beside her head. That was almost bad.
Frustrated with herself for how her over-eagerness caused her to miss the shot, Jix vowed vengeance. Staring her foe down with cold golden eyes for a moment before she suddenly shifted her body weight in a feint as though she were headed for more cover behind the door, only to roll to the opposite side of the door a stealthily as she could muster.
Bluff to Feint back into Hiding: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Stealth: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 34
Why? D= Why does the game hate me so much right now? A 1 a 2 and a 3 on all my most critical rolls for the chapter. . . A month a a half sneaking towards my crossbow for this

Lía Neve |
Uncertain about what to do, since there was no one that she could attempt to convince to walk out voluntarily, she could not see enough of what was going on, but the sounds of fighting over to the left was something that she was concerned about. There were a lot of people still, if what one of her friends had told her, and they were still trouble. Leaning a little over Jix, she tried to interfere with the fight once more. She did not have that much magic left.

"Owl" |

Owl back peddles a little as he realizes he's been found out. He holds up his hands in a defensive posture. "Now now. I know what your thinking. And you are absolutely right. So, change of plan." Instead of striking out at the man, Owl pulls an odd stick from his pack and strikes it on the the railing.
AC 5 square at 3rd increment for a -4: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Then he tosses it right past the bandit and onto the crates in front of the snipers. It instantly begins to shoot out a billowing cloud of smoke that covers Irian.
Tossing a smokestick. Creates a 10 by 10 cloud. Spawn point is the yellow circle on the map. Should cover Irian and give concealment (20% miss) from feral woman and total concealment (50% miss) from all the snipers.

DM Default |

Median keeps on with the melee route, but her bladework isn't as fabulous as her magic was, and her blows land much too lightly.
Irian doesn't far well either, though he is able to make the most of it and openly taunts the gang with a pretend display of ineptitude.
Jix, given our history with the interpretation of stealth rules, what's your interpretation of how bluffing to feint into hiding works, including the DCs, rolls, and such. For the time being, to keep things moving, the thugs are going to consider you a non-threat for now.
Will save: 1d20 ⇒ 10
The bestial alchemist seems to lose focus on her face for a few moments, as her stance remains up, but she blanks out for a while.
Owl, exposed, decides to make the best of a poor situation and hopefully provide his comrades cover as he sets off a smokestick.
The f#@$ is that!?"
"C'mon! The boss needs us!"
Two of the shooters will jump from the catwalk, onto the shelves, and onto the ground floor as they move to intercept any help Irian may be getting from those hiding away in the room behind him.
Irian can take an AoO at a 20% miss chance
Jix, though you were hidden in the corner, these two were both going after Lia, e can say you're hiding in the corner, but very still to not be caught.
Two more rogues move into position, trying to press Irian and Median into a corner.
Attack Owl: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 Misses on 20 or less: 1d100 ⇒ 17
Attack Irian: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Misses on 20 or less: 1d100 ⇒ 83

Crit Irian?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Player's up!

Lía Neve |
Self-defense demanded that she draw her rapier or meet a rather unfavorable end, and she had been harmed enough today. Lía drew her rapier, but tried to put on her best face, as inspiration hit her.
"Finally, I get you two here! The other four of you went ahead. It's incredibly difficult to try to tell you that we've got a deal with the guards, while making it look like we're 'taking care of things!'. The deal is, they have to make it look like they're arresting you, but some of the guards are in on it, and it cost us a LOT, thank you very much! The codephrase is 'The noodles were delicious'." She was really hoping that the lack of bodies in this room and the others would give her some leverage in telling the truth, but she was outnumbered, and limited in her options.

Irian Davies |

Irian grimaced as one of the bolts actually managed to score a glancing hit on his cheek, drawing an angry red line across it. A couple of inches to the side, and he'd have it sprouting from his face. Time to stop messing around. As one of the thieves dropped down into striking distance, the warrior swung heavily at them, hoping to drop them before they could injure one of the less armored of his companions.

The warrior then turned his attention back to the leader of the guild, trying to bring the creature low once and for all.

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 74

Jix Rissi |

Jix cursed and attempted another juking maneuver. Positioning herself on the opposite side of the doorway.

Laetitia Corvus |

As the pain caused by latest attack to make it past Irian's defenses filters through the subtle telepathic bond she'd established with the man, Tish decides it's probably the right time to jump into the fray. Not that she had been spending the last couple of minutes hedging her bets by waiting to see if her companions could take out a fair number of the thieves first. That kind of calculated maneuver was the type of thing Owl might do, Tish figured. She was merely showing up fashionably late.
And so Tish sends out a little burst of psychic energy as she makes her way toward the sound of battle, activating the little trick she had planted in the warrior's mind and temporarily soothing his wounds.

Owl, take an additional move next round.
Lia tries convincing the thieves that have pinned her and Jix against the wall.
"The f$$~ you talking about?" one thug says.
"You think she..." the other thug starts to say. The other thug nods.
"Yeah...I think she did."
Not bewitched and currently hostile, not gonna buy a lie.
Median tries the melee route but continues to not find any luck.
Irian, having been on the defensive for so long, sees his chance and lashes out with his blade holding it up like a rigid iron beam that the thug sinks himself into as he charges in unable to stop himself. Feeling the moment when is blade pierces the heart of the thug, Irian withdraws the blades flicking it to the side to rid it of the blood as the thug collapses.
Irian follows his quick kill with a strong slash at the alchemist, his blow almost felling her. You can see the blood in her mouth as she coughs, but hangs on just barely.
She smiles as you Irian, a smile that promises one of you won't be walking away from this.
...Yeah, Jix jumps to one side before rolling to another making use of her tail to even send a jostle to where she wanted people to think she's gone. Once out of sight, she slips back into the folds of the shadows she calls home.
Laetitia, back in the action activates her implanted trick in Irian mind, confident that her group wouldn't need an outside hand for a rescue later.
Jix, I put a negative modifier for moving through an opponents space, but your roll was good enough that it didn't matter. Just FYI
With the ratfolk gone, both thugs settle on their new target, Lia.

Holding one thug action for when Owl get's back. Players up!

Lía Neve |
The squeak that Lía let out was certainly undignified as she tried to dodge their attacks, but nothing about what they were doing had any significant sense of dignity to it. "Fine", she spat, then literally spit— A ray of cold left her mouth,
her poor aim causing it to miss, since she was more preoccupied with drawing her rapier.

Jix's golden eyes widened as the room became thick with thieves and she tucked herself as deep into the shadows as possible while she watched them round on her compatriot.
Well, better her then me anyways, poor little Snowflake.
Even then the adrenaline was starting to pump her chest was rapidly heaving back and forth as she struggled to contain her emotion and load another round into her heavy crossbow, knowing full well Lia's life may depend on the next shot.

Median considers channeling but realizes that likely only Irian would benefit, and he looked a little ragged but not desperate yet, so she attacks the woman again instead.

Failing badly.

Laetitia Corvus |

Feeling supremely confident in her group's impending victory (and her ability to emerge from the fight unscathed), Tish hums a jaunty tune in her head as she moves closer to the fighting, blithely ignorant of the dire situation some of her companions are in. Stepping out from behind the corner, Tish focuses her baleful glare at the first target she sees (-2 to Will saves and attack rolls) and fires a bolt at the man's back.

Irian again was a relative flash of movement (it was hard to move quickly when you were the human equivalent of a steel-shelled tortoise), deflecting one set of claws with his shield and dodging the were-creature's nasty bite. He took the other set of claws across the face, the wound painful but more irritating than life-threatening. Growling, the swordsman again squared up with the beast, trying to bring it down for good.
