Elendra, I moved you to the correct group. The map is confusing and there is a lot going on.

The bravado filled young man steps forward and bows slightly to Elendra and Wynrey.

Ah, well met my beauties. I am Falto, leader of the Crypt Breakers. We are great explorers and the priests of Pharasma assigned us the estate of an important government official in recognition of our experiecne.

He motions to his two companions and continues the introductions. He motions to a Qadirian man who appears to be a priest of Sarenrae and a stern man, brooding in the corner and playing with a small wisp of air.

Yes, our day was more than fair. It seems when the Pharasmins laid the Plague victims to rest, they left much of their material wealth behind. And government official tend to have more than their fair share of wealth. Ha!

Wynrey and Elendra, please give me a Sense Motive check.

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

Help, the map is all dark for poor Chui! Can some one turn the lights on.

I gather 10 feet is too far away for me to make a sense motive check. I am, as best as is possible in a crowded bar, paying attention to what catastrophe Wynrey and Elendra intend to pull down upon our heads.

And finally, I may have to "accidently" refer to Falto as Fellatio.

More like her human half is Garundi or Mwangi.

Wait, it was just a trick of the light. That's a bit of a relief, for a second I thought the Darklands were coming for me.

Harmini made time-consuming efforts to improve her appearance before the gathering. Her hair is bound up meticulously with golden lace and her skin seems to sparkle in the dim light. Her soft, spotless, white silken gown appears as if it is always being blown subtly by a gentle breeze.

Time to size up the competition...

She collects a glass of red wine from the bar and wanders casually over to the large group of women talking. Alabaster follows her closely while its central blue gem glows faintly.

She tries to listen in on the conversation between the two women and waits several minutes before making herself known with an abrupt but quiet Ahem.

Perception check to listen in on the conversation if needed.

We are the Tomb Tossers and were given the right to General Akhntepi. He seemed to be a well off man. With the help of Sarenrae we made it out of many bad situations.

Liberty's Edge

Wow great story. No monsters, no treasure, no details. Good luck El.

I turn and look at Chui and see the fermented goat blood in his hand.

I'm guessing you like that stuff, and I've been sober at a party for far too long. BARKEEP! I'll have what he's having!

Elendra and Wynrey:
Falto seems to be hamming it up a bit much. You suspect he is either over stating the importance of the location they were to explore or the size of the haul they made. Or possibly both.

Organizing the rest in spoilers for simplicity, not secrecy.

Chui, Elendra, and Wynrey:
The Qadirian man nods to Elendra.

Sister. It seems Sarenrae's light still shines after sunset.

Falto leans in again and interrupts.

Yes, yes, shining light. It's all he talks about. So, The Tomb Tossers huh? What bad situations did you find yourself in?

Harmini:
As Harmini approaches she can hear snippets of what they are saying. The rough looking woman, a red head Ulfen maid, is listening more than speaking but the other woman, a Taldane woman dressed finely, seems to be irritated about something.

...unfair to refuse us the honor. It is a sacred site to our...

The rest is lost though until Harmini arrives and excuses herself. The two women turn to her and take a second to assess who has approached. Finally, the Taldane woman speaks.

Pardon my tone, I get overworked sometimes. I am Velrianna of the Scorched Hand and this is Sigrun Firehair of the Daughters of the Desert. Which group do you represent?

Well Wynrey here was eaten by an animated coffin.
As i say this i nudge wynrey.
Im sure she'd tell you all about it falto.
Turning my attention to the Qadirian man
That it does brother. My name is Elendra, how might I address you? And would you be willing to talk about what your group really went through with me? Maybe over a drink?

Dark Archive

Elendra:
The Qadirian man smiles a little as he speaks with Elendra.

I am Eruqki, servant of Sarenrae and I would be honored to have a drink with you. Please.

Eruqki motions for Elendra to lead the way to the bar. Once there he motions to the barkeep and orders two glasses of the local wine, good but not over priced.

You are astute to pick up that Falto's bravado is greater than his deeds. Unfortunately there is not much to tell for in truth the place we explored was an old brewery. It was so uninteresting, even the unquiet dead had no interest there. We found some old papers that should sell for something but not enough for all the sand vermin we had to fend off. Still, we all returned alive and our few wounds will heal.

When the drinks arrive he raises his glass and makes a toast to Sarenrae. Then he continues to speak.

Now, you have heard our tale, what will you tell me of yours?

Scarab Sages

Female Shabti Witch (Hex Channeler) 5

Harmini dips into a curtsy to make her formal introduction.

My name is Harmini of Azir. What a pleasure it is to meet you both. I myself have endorsed the Tomb Tossers. A very talented group, I must say. So robust...

She takes a moment to look over at Wynrey, Chui and Elendra giving a courtly wave before continuing.

We've managed to recover a number of valuable relics from Akhentepi's tomb. He was quite an important figure in Wati's history as I'm sure you must know. No doubt you've both had equal success in your excursions today, yes? I'd absolutely love to hear about it.

Harmini pauses with a wide smile.

Please make it short, the red-haired one here smells like a yak.

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

Chui slides around to the other side of the table, stretches lazily, and sits back in the chair with his legs sprawled across the table top. He idly keeps half an eye on his fellow Tossers while also leering to himself at the more attractive young ladies in the room.

Making a diagonal move to the NW. I wasn't able to move my icon.
I'm picking this spot so Chui can see both Harmini and her interactions and Elendra, Wynrey, Fellatio, and company.

Harmini's a little too smooth to provide real entertainment, but I'm sure that Elendra and Wynrey working together will produce a true tour de force.

Liberty's Edge

Female Half-Elf Unbreakable Fighter/1

Seeing that Elendra has everything under control and isn't talking to Stupid McLoudFace I walk over to get my drink. I pay the barkeep for a glass of a deep red, thick liquid in a glass. Staring down at the glass I get his attention again.

Gin and Tonics, three of them.

Drinks for the group on me! Weee!

As the barkeep pours and mixes I slam down the savory, gamey, coppery drink and the flavor sits in my mouth way too long. I reflexively slam down one of the gin and tonics as they are placed in front of me and after a second I chug another for good measure.

Now those are really great. Strong too

I grab the last drink and turn around.

NOW its a party!

Harmini:
Velrianna smiles back at Harmini.

Sigrun here was just telling me that her and the other Daughters experienced a number of traps within the home of some pawnbroker. I would say the traps were unsuccessful at their purpose, since here they stand.

Big Sigrun laughs at this last part and grasps Harmini by the shoulder.

Takes more than clever mechanics to bring down a guard of a Linnorm King. Truly I wish we had encountered more things that my axe could handle, but I guess it was good practice for my twins.

Sigrun laughs again and motions to Velrianna.

Our friend here also had some luck it seems, though she seems unhappy about the process of assignment. I don't make the rules but it seems fair enough to me.

Liberty's Edge

Female Half-Elf Unbreakable Fighter/1

I saunter up to the group Harmini is talking to and overhear the conversation, my eyes growing wide at the mention of the Linnorm.

Are you truly a guard of a Linnorm King? Well met! Tell me, how does your city fare? The last time I traveled that far north I stayed in Valenhall. I loved the place and your fighting styles I ended up staying there a few years to train. Running the Rimeflow River barefoot was one of the hardest things that I've done in my life. Barkeep, a Grateful Dead in your tallest glass!

At this point of the night I have consumed 4 drinks in under five minutes and I'm about to dive into my 5th. So a fort save vs booze?

Fort Save to not become drunk(oh no!): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

DRINK! DRINK!

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

Hmmm, and I don't believe I've seen Wynrey eat anything since we left the tomb. All those drinks on an empty stomach.

Chui's tummy rumbles rather aggressively, and he orders the establishment's famed Deep Fried Mixed Desert Critter Bits with a cream dipping sauce.

Wynrey and an Ulfen barbarian!?! That would be one exotic looking kid. Probably make a mint as a stripper. As a friend, I could offer my management services.

Chui takes another long, lazy stretch which he uses as an opportunity to scan the room, paying particular, albeit discrete, attention to the two people behind him.

Harmini fights valiantly to maintain her smile after being grabbed by the large red-haired woman. Alabaster's central gem glows faintly as a puff of translucent mist fills the air near Harmini's shoulder with a scent of fresh jasmine.

Hmmm... Yes, of course, my darling Sigrun. How marvelous for you.

oh what a relief! Thank you Wynrey for distracting that brute... is she drunk already? ugh...

She moves casually around toward Velrianna to distance herself from Big Sigrun and Wynrey.

I must admit that I too have a certain distaste for this whole bureaucratic charade. The Crocodile and the rest of the Pharasmins seem to have turned what would otherwise be a monumental archaeological opportunity into a boorish street carnival...

Harmini leans in close to the demure woman and whispers.

I can see that we are both women of more refined interest here. So tell me Velrianna, what is it you're really looking for?

Dark Archive

Ha! This is getting fun. How many conversations can we have going at one time?

Wynrey:
The Ulfen woman slaps Wynrey on the back as they step to the bar.

HAH! My friend that is something I would have loved to have seen! Elf blood usually runs to thin to survive such an event. Your human blood must have some giant mixed into it!

She gets a heavy mead from the barkeep and drains half the mug before continuing.

Tell me more what you found, and fought, in the tombs today? I am interested to see what else may be found in there.

Harmini:
Velrianna smiles at Harmini with a new interest, as though seeing an ally where she thought there might be an enemy.

You would think with the way Sebti was handling this that she was a priestess of Abadar.

Velrianna motions to her companions behind her and continues.

I and my associates revere our Twice Blessed Lord, Nethys. We are the Scorched Hand and we came here in hopes of exploring an ancient site sacred to our lord's faithful. The site is called The Sanctum of the Erudite Eye, but those damn Pharasmians denied our request to be assigned the right to explore it. Something about being unfair to those participating.

A young Garundi man steps forward, bearing a holy symbol of a face, one side pure white, and the other scorched black. His face seems stern but with a light of curiosity behind it.

Velrianna, I know it unfair but half faith that our lord will show Pharasma the light.

Velrianna sighs, then smiles again.

Excuse me, my manners sometimes escape me when I am frustrated. Please let me introduce you to my companions. This here is Khelru, my spiritual connection to Nethys. He is a trusted adviser.

Velrianna then points to an even younger Keleshite man, meek and seeming to try to hide behind Khelru.

This is Khelru's, uh, friend. Convert? Well, this is Azaz, master of the evocation school.

The young man seems to shrink a little more until she refers to his mastery of magic, then he stands taller and waves a little. Khelru smiles back to him briefly.

Last there is Idorii, my guardian. She serves to protect us from more physical dangers. She is just there near the stairs.

Velrianna motions to the dark-skinned half-elf standing alone down the hall. Idorii seems to be maintaining a distance from the members of the Scorched Hand, but not far enough away to lose sight of her charges.

Now, Harmini, tell me of the people you have backed, these Tossers you spoke of. I do not follow what you mean by benefactor. Do you not lead these people?

Liberty's Edge

Female Half-Elf Unbreakable Fighter/1

I don't notice that my voice has become slightly louder.

The only thing giant in me are my tales, my courage, and my thirst! Barkeep, a glass of mead so I can speak of our glory!

As I grab the large mug the size of my head, I spin around with my arms out dramatically as I tell the...

THE TALE OF THE TOSSERS! As we descended down into the cold dark of the tomb of Arkhentai, we could hear the wind whip around the entrance, the sound like the moaning maw of a great beast! Once we reached the bottom we 'refreshed' ourselves...

As if to help get my point across I quaff down the ENTIRE mug and continue.

Feeling refreshed, the Tossers found themselves in a hallway when all of a sudden, darts flew from the walls themselves! Raising my shield in the nick of time I manage to block the poisoned darts, preventing harm from befalling my companions behind me, a skill which seems to be called upon often...

I give the giant lady a friendly punch on the arm.

HAH, I bet you know the feeling. So after the dart filled hallway we then found a room containing a great mirror, which was magical in nature. Arkhentai, was a clever man and he set a clever trap. The only thing that was magic about it mirror was this: in the time it would take to figure out what the mirror did, the mirror would summon a phantom figure who would brand the viewer as a thief! Enraged at the assault on my companion I smashed the mirror into tiny pieces, the fate of all fools and their little toys!
Further into the tomb we then were ambushed by insects the size of a man, with jaws so tough they were able to bite through my armor like it was parchment. As the crawling creature began to close in, Chui, the cool cat of the group, sprang into action. With movement so fast that he seemed to be everywhere he tore into the beetles with tooth and claw, rending them into a pulpy heap!

I put down my mug and slash at the air in front of me, pantomiming clawing at something.

After defeating such obstacles, one might think that Arkhentai would have nothing left in his bag of tricks. You would be wrong. In another room was a creature that was made of living sand! Knowing that my mighty katana could not slice through it, I threw down my weapon and grappled the sand itself! There are those that might say something difficult is like trying to hold a handful of sand, but those people have never seen Wynrey. Though the beast struggled, I threw the creature to the ground and pinned it! Arkhentai was not yet finished with us yet and sent swarms of insects at us as we pushed deeper into his resting place. The swarms of insects would have overtaken us, but they did not think that Elendra, the Scorcher of Swarms would be there. To see the young firebrand purge them away was a sight to see.
After all of these trials we finally found the Sarcophagus of Arkhentai, or so we thought. As a final 'gift' to us, Arkhentai left out a false coffin and as I approached it, the whole thing sprang to life! Its lid opening and closing like a horrid mouth! After dodging the creature's attacks and landing my own, I knew then only way to take it down would be to create an opening so that everyone else would be able to try to land the lethal blow. The Coffin bite my arm, breaking the bone. It then pulled me inside it's mouth breaking my ribs before sealing me inside to suffocate. Some people would have given up hope, chocking and bleeding and dying in the dark of a creature's stomach, but not Wynrey! Even then I could hear Harmini shouting "One way or another, I'm getting you out of there. For a moment, all I could see was the blackness but then like Iomedae in the darkness, Harmini made short work of the 'angry box' and with the tomb silent once more she pulled me free!
After the last guardian was dispatched Chui found...a secret door! Opening the long sealed stone our eyes grew wide at the sight we had fought so hard to see, TREASURE! We found gold and jewels, masks and scrolls, books and art, and most importantly VICTORY FOR THE TOMB TOSSERS!

BARKEEP! A ROUND FOR EVERYONE!

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

Chui's platter of deep fried happiness arrives midway through Wynrey's efforts at amateur drama. Each nugget of joy is crunchy on the outside and still twitching raw in the middle. Chui's whiskers are soon coated in bits of charred flesh, heavy cream dipping sauce, and blood.

Upon hearing his name, Chui slouches a little deeper in his chair and adjusts his headdress to cover a little more of his face.

I'm pretty sure the motto of my old school was NOT "Drunkenly declare all you deeds and wealth loudly in a bar."

Chui slows his eating for a second to see if anyone is regarding Wynrey with malicious intent after she loudly yelled the word TREASURE to the room.

Wynrey is drawing a lot of attention, but none of it seems to be malicious. At most some seem to be looking down their noses at her. You do notice the dark skin half-elf, other than Wynrey, is watching Harmini intently.

Wynrey:
As Wynrey grows more boisterous, the crowd watches with wide eyes. As she finishes, they cheer along with her excitement. Sigrun claps her thighs as she laughs along.

My friend, that is some tale! Swallowed by a coffin? Who would ever imagine that. Though it sounds like the rewards were great as well.

Sigrun raises her mug and offers a toast.

To the Tossers! May all of our explorations be as successful as theirs!

The crowd cheers again and laughs. Now almost everyone is watching Wynrey.

Liberty's Edge

Here here!

I drink the Grateful Dead that is placed in front of me.

So tell me Sigrun, what brings a you this far south? Is there no glory left to be had in the land of the ice and snow?
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow?

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

I'd just like to make sure I understand who is more-or-less with who (recognizing that it's a crowded bar).

Wynrey is speaking to a small crowd at this point, the most prominent of which is the Ulfen woman, Sirgun of Daughters of the Desert, correct? (I was confused earlier and thought this was an Ulfen guy, hence Chui's crack about beautiful, stripper children.)

Elendra is talking to Eruqki, the Sarenrite priest of Falto's group, correct?

Harmini is talking to the Scorched Hands, in particular their apparent leader, Velrianna. There are three other members of the Scorched Hands, including Idorii, the dark-skinned, not-Drow half-elf who is in a sort of overwatch role similar to Chui. Is this right?

In Chui's defense, Ulfen men and women are like dwarven men and women... It's hard to tell them apart.

Otherwise, this is 100% correct.

However, if you're a gigolo, it's important to know these things.

After he finishes his desert critter bits, Chui gives a moderate belch and stands. He catches the eye of the dark skinned half-elf Idorii and gives her a toothy smile.

He saunters over to the bar so that he is standing next to Wynrey.

She's a drunken idiot, but she's my drunken idiot.

On his way to the bar, Chui takes the opportunity to look to his left and get a better sense of the two people who had been behind him when he was seated.

I don't think I ever learned anything about these two.

MROW Wyn, that was quite dramatic. I felt almost like I'd been there myself. You're feeling well, I hope. Can I get you a nice kebab?

Oh Sigrun, before you begin your tale I have to introduce you to my...dearesht friend, Chui. And thank you for the offer. I would LOVE kabobs right now. Should we order kabobs? I love kabobs. Harmini pauses for a moment before answering Velrianna.

Oh my... Wynrey is getting a bit out of control now. It might be time to lay low for a while.

She smiles.

Ah yes. As you can see, The Tossers tend to speak for themselves. My role in this venture is far more like a guide than any sort of leadership... A kind of safety net for unbroken horses, honestly. I provide medical and financial support along with historical expertise while the rest...

Harmini looks over to Wynrey and Sigrun briefly.

Well... you get the idea. It was quite wonderful to make your acquaintance, Velrianna. I'm sure that under the right circumstances you and I would have much more to talk about but I'm afraid I must go now. Best of luck to you and your fiery friends. Please excuse me.

Harmini returns her wine glass to the bar and retires to her room for the evening. Alabaster follows closely behind her trailing soft violet sparkles of light along the way.

Come along Alabaster...

I look down and see a drink in my hand and am slightly startled by it.

Wasn't this empty? I'll need to fix that and also eat something. Where are those kabobs? Oh!

I grab one of the sticks and start eating.

You guysher great. Ssso tell me Sigrun, why have you traveled so far from home? Wati is a great place but its so hot out there. I find the heat inshufferable but for you? Uhh, how do you deal with it? Also whats up with the glares I keep getting from that lady by the stairs?

Well im sure you heard what my dear friend wynrey said of our exploits. We were given the honor of excivating the tomb of a military man. I was branded a theif from an enchanted mirror. Like i told your exaggerating friend, wynrey was swollowed by a false casket. We made out well enough to sustain her drinking apparently.
Elendra notices that Harmini is wrapping up her conversation and that Wynrey is very drunk.
My apologies Brother i think this is my que, please excuse me.
I get up after drinking the rest of my wine, curtsey and make my leave

Liberty's Edge

Do we want to switch to a party montage with Wynrey (and Chui if he’s into it) with a party that slowly divolves into madness? I’d like to get to know stuff about this Sigrun lady and if her group is on a quest or whatever drunkenly say that the Tossers are willing to lend whatever aid they can (2 groups are better than one), maybe say hi to that half elf by the stairs.

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

There's a time and a place for a drunken debauch and orgy, that's at church NOT with a bunch of heavily armed strangers.

First, Chui arranges for several large jugs of water and a bunch of bananas to be delivered to Wynrey's room, knowing that she will need them in the morning.

Then, he gets a second drink for himself.

Finally, he saunters over to Idorii and sits down on the stairs next to her.

Bet you 5 gold pieces that the Ulfen woman passes out before my idiot friend.

I think Wynrey may have lead a slightly sheltered life until very recently. Let's make sure that she's not killed and raped (or the other way round) and then put her to bed in the recovery position so she's doesn't choke on her own vomit if she throws up in the middle of the night.

Liberty's Edge

Female Half-Elf Unbreakable Fighter/1

Well if I’m as drunk as I think I am I’ll roll and see how it goes

Will Save to Shtop Drinking: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The party continues to go on and buckling under peer pressure, I challenge Sigrun to a contest of me versus her (and whoever wishes to join in the game) in the old Golarion drinking game, Thumper.

Second Will Save to Stop: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

The madness continues as Sigrun and I play the game “Easy Rider” in which we take turns carrying and spinning the other, the passenger must drink while being carried.

Last Will Save to Stop: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

The two or more of us then balance bar stools while chugging mugs of ale. At this point one of us must be ready to pass out, either from exhaustion or drinking or both.

Fort Save to not Pass Out: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Huhmpt puttin babiesh to bed! A glass of water please.

I go to bed.

Unless Sigrun rolls really well and/or has a really good Fort save, I think Chui just won 5 gp (assuming Idorii took his bet).

Liberty's Edge

Female Half-Elf Unbreakable Fighter/1

Glad I could do that for you, maybe we could turn this into a hustle, HAH! Also when I say "I go to bed", I mean that I take my armor off, drink some water, grab my shaving kit and soap, and go the the tavern's bathtub (at least I think that thing is a bathtub), take a hot bath, drink another glass of water, brush my teeth, drink some water, eat a banana, then go to sleep.

Harmini:
Velrianna nods to Harmini.

A not so silent partner, I guess. Pleasure to meet you Harmini. Perhaps we will see each other in the Necropolis at some point and good luck.

Chui:
As Chui scans around it seems no one is really posing threat or even spoiling for a fight. The sketchy pair in the corner seems more like they are keeping an eye on the others and talking to themselves. Perhaps they are taking a similar approach as Chui.

When Chui approached the half-elf in the corner the stern looking woman smiles silently and continues to watch over her obvious charges. When Chui offers the bet, she seems to think it over.

An northerner versus an elf. I never turn down free money my furred friend.

As the drinking continues she stands silently and watches. As the events seem to turn in Wynrey's favor, Idorii seems to grow moody When Sigrun stumbles and falls, Idorii pulls some coins from a pouch and hands it over to Chui.

Seems she is stroger than she looks.

Wynrey:
Sigrun easily accepts your challenge.

The results come quickly. Sigrun downs a few drinks but then begins to stagger as she boasts. She goes to lean on the bar but misses, badly and slams to the floor.

Her more controlled companion who was watching the whole event steps up and rests her hand on Sigrun's chest.

Iomedea forgives you child. She knows your heart beats pure.

A glow begins to appear over Sigrun and she begins to blink. She rests her hand on her head and groans. Sigrun accepts her companions help and turns to Wynrey as she walks toward the stairs.

It seems even your elven blood is hardy stock! Perhaps there is dragon's blood in there too.

Wynrey leans on the bar herself, though she can't remember the bard being so low. As she recovers from her own poor choice three women approach. From their look they must be twins. They are even dressed alike. When they stand before Wynrey they each seem to speak in unison.

Wynrey, correct? I hear you are the leader of the Tossers. May we speak for a moment?
moment?
moment?

Sigrun Fortitude Save:

Elendra:
Eruqki nods to Elendra but seems a little confused with the sudden turn.

As you say, this seems to be your que.

He bows and heads back to his friend, leaving Elendra to head back to her friends as well. Before Elendra can Wynrey though there is a tug on her sleeve. The two people that Harmini was talking to have intercepted her. The woman, Velrianna, continues past and approaches Wynrey but her more divine companion is the one who seems interested in talking to Elendra.

Pardon me miss, may I ask your name?

My name is Elenda, what may I call you?

Dark Archive

Elendra:
It is my pleasure to meet you Elendra. I am Khelru, servant of The All Seeing Eye. My friends and I, The Scorched Hand, are also exploring in the necropolis. What can you tell me of your adventures there today?

Catfolk Ninja Gigolo

So, this Velrianna person wants to talk to Wynrey? This should go well.

Chai thanks Idorii for her money and remarks . . .

I hope my colleague doesn't vomit on your colleague. I suspect it would put a damper on their relationship.

The Scorched Hand, what an interesting name. Why don't you tell me about your friends.
I'm sure Wynrey was loud enough for the entire room to hear.
at this point I grab the oils for my burns from my pack and start to apply it.
We were given the tomb of General Akhentepi. Like all tombs for people of great import at the time it was thoroughly trapped. Chui is our resident trap expert, I think he was a trapsmith at one point, was able to deal with most of them.
I move up my headdress a bit to show the nasty brand I received.
This is just one memento from this adventure. The late general was a Pharasman and had a beautiful mural of the river of souls on the walls. In what we thought was his final resting place my companion was swallowed by an animated sarcophagus. As we traveled deeper into the tomb we dealt with all kinds of desert vermin and traps. To be honest there wasn't anything of much value in the tomb save a chariot that we couldn't remove. Now, Khelru, if you would be so kind as to tell me of your time within the Necropolis?

"Wynrey leans on the bar herself, though she can't remember the bar being so low." Solid burn. I'll time magic my way out of a hot bath to talk to these ladies.

Its an odd time for a mirror image spell, ehh wizards are odd people.

I stand up straight(ish) and speak to the one in the middle.

Ah yesh I can shee why you might be thinkin that. In a way I am since they seem to follow wherever I go. I don't order them around or tell them what to do since I trust them to know what to anyway. People keep calling me that though.....But yes, I would love to speak with you! What ish your name and what would you like of the Tossers?

Oh boy, now the wizard is making the room spin. What spell is that? Why is this cast every time I go for drinks? Hold on, I need to put on my sober serious face.

Perform Sober: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Heh, I've had to use this a few times.

Chui:
Idorii attempts to stifle her laugh and maintain her composure, she is almost successful.

I was hired to protect her from physical harm. Humiliation is not something I can be held responsible for. Still, I also won't be responsible for Vel's response either.

Elendra:
Khelru stares at Elendra's forehead for a second before he speaks.

Branded a thief, huh? Many people over look Pharasma's charge of watching over the resting places of the dead. It seems your military man enlisted the aid of some crafty trapsmiths in the hopes of calling out to those who watch over the city.

Khelru then points to the woman speaking with Wynrey and the half-elf speaking with Chui.

Our leader, Velrianna, is currently trying to learn more from the leader of the Tossers. And your feline friend is speaking with our muscle, Idorii. Over there, by the stairs. Assured, neither pair will learn much from each other, though Velrianna is still going to try.

Our name comes from our almost universal favor of our lord Nethys. We came here in the hopes of exploring a sacred site, but so far the Pharasmans have been reluctant to assign specific sites upon request. Velrianna is hoping to see if she can gain some favor from other groups.

Wynrey:
Velrianna steps back a bit from Wynrey's grand gestures, but remains to talk more.

My name is Velrianna, I lead the group known as the Scorched Hand. Honestly I am looking for anything from the Tossers, but you specifically can help me out with something.

Do you favor the way the Pharasmans are handling the assignment of locations? I pure lottery, I mean. Do you think it would be better to honor requests to explore a site that may be sacred to a group's faith?

Everyone give me a PERCEPTION check.

Thinking that I nailed my sober act, I again address the middle image.

Hmm, well I think that would be tricky to implement. Sites might be sacred to many groups, groups may not be genuine about which sites they find sacred, and those sites will have a better chance of having items of historical importance. What I would suggest is coming to an agreement with other groups, if any of them are assigned that site they could...work it out between them. You would just need to find reasonable people to do that with. You have found that person. Tell me off this site, why is it important to you? I do not wish to know where it is, only what it is.

Perception with a penalty I assume: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Chui comments to Idorii and the world at large ...

I'll grant you that my friend is not a quiet drunk. We could be here a while. Could I interest you in the worship of Bastet? I think I have some pamphlets here somewhere.

While he's talking, Chui takes the opportunity to check out Idorii's weapons, armor, and whatnot as there appears to be a chance that he and she will shortly be trying to murder each other. He assumes that she is doing the same.

Dark Archive

OK, let's try this again...

Elendra:
As Elendra is speaking with Khelru she notices the fourth unnamed member of the Scorched Hand turn quickly and head upstairs.

Chui:
Idorii looks blankly at Chui.

Bastet? That one's new to me.

Irodii rests her hand on the grip of her sword for a moment and smiles.

Thanks, but no thanks. Never had much need for the gods. My faith rests in steel and sweat. Perhaps Khelru would be interested in hearing more. He is the spiritual guide for the Scorched Hand.

As Chui and Idorii continue to speak, they both notice that the fourth unnamed member of the Scorched Hand turns quickly and heads upstairs. Idorii shakes her head a little but keeps her focus on watching Khelru and Velrianna.

Wynrey:
Velrianna seems a little shocked at Wynrey's offer but the look passes quickly. Perhaps it was the drink. Velrianna turns for a second and orders a drink, one of the same Wynrey is drinking. Then she returns her attention to Wynrey.

My Wynrey, you give me faith that this may work out. I do not like how the Pharasmans have handled this, but perhaps fate will be in our favor.

The location we were hoping to be assigned is called The Sanctum of The Erudite Eye. It was the old temple here in Wati dedicated to Nethys. I and the members of the Scorched Hand were hoping to find relics and records of how those of Wati used to worship our lord before the Plague. Unfortunately the Pharasman bureaucrats, well, nevermind that.

The barkeep returns with Velrianna's drink and she thanks him.

Wynrey, you have offered a great gesture to us. I give you my thanks, and if there is anything we can do for you in return for the kind gesture, please ask. Now though, it seems as if you might be tired my dear. Perhaps you should seek the aid of your furry friend chatting with my guardian, I think he can provide great assistance. Good night Wynrey.

Velrianna turns and heads over towards Chui and the guardian she mentioned, leaving her drink untouched.

I motion to the man rapidly heading upstairs while voicing my suspition
Excuse me Kehlru he is one of yours correct.
Not waiting for a response I scan the room for chui and Wynrey, when I Spot them I yell
TOSSERS! SOMEONE IS AFTER HARMINI, DON'T TRUST THE SCORCHED HAND
and I begin to move toward the stairs

A few questions - what time is it? How crowded, or not, is the tavern?

Dark Archive

Well that was unexpected.

At this time it is around 10:30 PM and the tavern is fairly crowded. Moving will be difficult terrain, though no one is clearly armed and will not oppose movement beyond the penalty mentioned above.

Harmini:
As Harmini is getting prepared for the night she hears Elendra screaming downstairs. It isn't absolutely clear what is said but something about Tossers and not trusting the Scorched Hand.

As Elendra begins to move, Khelru looks shocked.

Excuse me?

He stumbles for a moment and seems to try to stop Elendra from charging into the crowd, though he is not quick enough.

Velrianna looks around and seems confused as well. Elendra brushes by her and turns her around.

I'm sorry. Why are we a threat? Wynrey!

Idorii simply watches, though she flinches for a second as Elendra brushes by Velrianna.

Seems Azaz is causing a stir. Some people love their faith more than their companions it seems.

The young man hears Elendra yelling and stops. He looks at her, then seems to look to Khelru.

Everyone but Harmini can give me another PERCEPTION check.
