Shaking off the waking dream off some mad "doctor" ripping out four of his wisdom teeth Isegrim bellows with a rage intensified by the attacks of the skeletons, "There is little mercy for those that deal with the devil and his dark incarnates. End this madness and produce the girl before we end you little bug man!"
Isegrim attacks the skeleton in the square 5,6 with intent to second attack 5,7
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 3) + 7 = 16

The ooc forum thread seems to be missing in the 2010 range. Happy Holidays and soon to be happy New Year to everyone. I had my wisdom teeth finally removed (though in retrospect it should have been years earlier.
No Xmas ATV accident though my 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son would have been delighted by an ATV. They were good kids. Santa brought what they had requested, a betta fish for Ms Anaka, and a remote control fire engine for Mr. Charlie Forrest. Great holiday, though it would have been better without the damage to my mouth.
Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, under general anesthesia which was bewildering and great while it lasted. My first experience in surgery, and with pain reducing narcotics. The hydrocodone was a little more mind numbing than I would have preferred. Went in again today with having one of the sockets develop mind numbing pain a few days ago and am all dialed in now.
My wife got me Epic Mickey for the wii which has been fun, and my daughter Anaka has been enjoying Just Dance for Kids, when not over feeding her betta fish (Rainbow, either Ray or Bow for short...and today, Ray Ray).
Tomorrow is the Holiday Bowl for the Huskers (rematch against Washington....eh) but will hopefully be fun to watch.
Hope that all of your holidays are merry! And that your New Year is especially bright!

It's because we keep neglecting our ooc thread, so it sinks into Davey Jones Locker (the thread archives). Christmas was excellent here, with the Kinect and Pam's new acoustic bass guitar being the feature presents. I was awake for my wisdom teeth removal, but then there was no cutting involved, just alot of pushing and pulling and ripping. That is not a fun procedure, that's for sure.
There's a Mexican fiesta at casa Potter this new year. It's a long drive, but everyone's invited! :)

I lost a post in here somewhere. I even updated the map, but I see no post. So here's an approximate repeat...
Isegrim connects with the rib cage of his primary target and obliterates the creature. He fails to connect with his follow-through.
Isegrim's entitled to a 5' step as part of his turn, he can take (5,6) if he wants it.
Trystan's jolt of heavenly energy seems to get soaked up by the walls in this place. The channeled energy does minimal damage. Good Will saves by my skeletal minions.
Two of the remaining skeletons attack Isegrim while the other attacks Brenin. Isegrim is clawed by one of the flailing creatures. 5 hp damage.
Lia's up, though her action may depend on if Isegrim advances to (5,6).

Wondered what happened. I saw the map update and no post. Thought maybe you were on the eggnog again. Christmas was good here as well. Kayla scored big as always and the rest of us didn't do too bad either. I picked myself up a brand new speargun. Now I just have to figure out how to use it. Keep your eyes on the paper comme spring time for an article about a local redneck who shot himself through the fin while spearfishing.

Hey all, great to see the PBP still going strong. Glad Isegrim was able to keep on trucking! Want to wish all of you a very happy New Year full of great friends and lots of fun (and a little prosperity never hurt no one either :P) Hopefully our paths will cross again in the new year; until then y'all keep on living the dream! my best, Michael
Edit.. also, I've made some updates to the site template that you may find useful. For instance, the character pages now have a built-in character sheet. If you want to use it, you can set the page layout to three column then just copy and paste each section in http://sites.google.com/site/pathfindertemplate/the-par/player-1

Isegrim steps in to meet the necrotic foes (5' to 5,6) and attacks the skeleton at 6,6 (and then to 5,7 for second attack).
"Unless you want to end up embracing this death that seems to be your mistress you had better stop this nonsense and start giving us some answers. My patience with your silence is at an end."
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 6) + 7 = 19

Good to hear from you 'ain't Drizzt'. Merry all the holidays, etc. Hope things have taken a turn for the better for you and yours. I will definitely check out the link.
Init repeated from last page:
Rondo 12
Isegrim 8
Trystan 8
Skeletons 7 (+6)
Lia 7 (+4)
Rees 7 (+3)
Brenin 7 (+3)
Brenin's blow shatters the skeleton's spine. It flies to pieces.
Rondo levels the wand at the doorway again and speaks the command word. This time the wave of blinding light takes in both Isegrim and Brenin. Each of you should make a Will save.
Without watching to see the result he springs from the wall to the floor and runs down the hall, disappearing into the gloom.
Isegrim, yes you get the square (5,6) with your 5' step from last turn. That means that Brenin loses the +2 flanking bonus he had, but he hit without it anyway. If you pass your Will save your rolls stand and your action executes as written (including the 2nd step). By then Rondo has already run down the hall.
DM Luke
The waves of illusory magic roll over our two heroes without affecting them. Isegrim wades through the room wielding the massive Raven Blade in a wide arc that dismantles the two remaining skeletons. The room is cleared of enemies, but only because the focus of your ire has fled to the back of the house.
Trystan...
DM Luke
Yes, most of Dear Prudence and Lucy in the Sky are already hers to thump upon. Rach and I are working on Here Comes the Sun and All You Need is Love on violin & guitar. It's been a very Beatles xmas. :)
Trystan's blessing settles on the party. Everyone gains the benefit.
On Lia's move... 30' gets her to the door. Opening the door is a move-equivalent action so your turn ends in the hallway, though looking through an open door.
The bare walls of this room are lit by a low-burning hanging lamp. There's an undressed bed along one wall. On a small table by the bed is a plate and a pitcher of water. In the far corner of the room (9,9) is a closet with a closed door.
Rees has plenty of movement behind you with a double move, so interpreting her actions liberally, I put her in the room itself (8,7).
Brenin charges into the gloomy interior of the flat. The door at the end of the hall leads into a bedroom. Rondo stands in the corner by a small table. He has a new wand with a bright red handle in his hand now, as well as a vial of a silvery potion.
As Brenin comes into the room he yells into the uplander's face and levels the wand.
"You can take her to the hells with you!" He looks completely deranged as he screams out the command phrase for this new toy.
A tiny glowing bead of flame pops out of the tip of the wand and streaks down the hall, narrowly missing Brenin and sailing over Lia's head to explode against the rafters at (5,6)...
Isegrim, Trystan, and Lia need to make Reflex Saves. The area of effect for the spell is tinged in red on the map.
DM Luke
The fireball explodes against the ceiling of the room, filling the room with fire and flying debris. As you come back to your senses you find the front room in flames.
Stupid evasion... Lia saves and takes no damage. Trystan and Isegrim each take full damage. Trystan takes 13 points of fire damage. Isegrim takes 23.
Isegrim's up.
Isegrim Valko
Ouch! I think with the initial attack of the skeletons with a damage of 6hp that brings me to 29 points of damage with only 24 hp for stats. Soooo..I think rather than up, Isegrim is down in smoldering embers? Isegrim is mostly dead with 9 rounds until Isegrim is all dead? Where is Miracle Max?
"Trystan? Arrrrrgggggghhhhh!"
DM Luke
Oops. I'd actually hit you twice already for a total of 11 hp damage. Another 23 means you've taken a total of 34 hp damage. That puts you at -10. You die at -14 (your CON score).
Trystan's turn.
Trystan Glenfauran
Trystan trades in Divine Favor for Cure Light Wounds
"Grim!" Trystan shouts toward his friend as he watches him be enveloped by flames, so much so that he is unaware of the sweet stink of his own burning flesh. He quickly prays to Cayden as he extends his left hand and touches the poor fighter, releasing waves of healing energy into his ruined flesh.
"Rondo!! You die today you f@cking c#unt!" he snarls down the hall, consumed with smoldering, bloody rage.
Cure Light 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Ladies, could you please stop leaving in the middle of an scrap? We only have strength in numbers, and Luke wants our blood to be on the outside of our bodies.
DM Luke
Yeah, you guys keep still and stop running out of the range of my fireballs! :)
Trystan's prayers bring Isegrim back from the brink of death. The big man is still unconscious but he now breathes easily. Or at least he would if the room were not starting to fill with smoke.
In the room with Rees and Lia there's a muffled cry and the sound of something banging the wall in the closet.
Lia, then Rees.
Rees
Did he really just fireball my man?? He is so goin to die. Feeling my eyeballs go all yellow, I ready my shocking grasp spell and yell..I'm going to fry your fireball throwin azzzz as I move in and lay my hands on him.
my attack roll is a 17. I do not think I get any bonus on that. Unless he is wearing metal or carrying a metal weapon. If that works out, damage says 1 d6 per level. Roll #1 is a 4, #2 is 6.
If that all works out...
Oh Yea, I hope you liked that, cause I've got more for you. Your chance to give up is gone. Nobody messes with my guys.
If it didn't work,
You just wait till my next turn.
DM Luke
Very hard to post while watching the championship game... in bed... with a rogue... must concentrate...
Lia springs the lock on the door and it swings open. Samaritha is there, bound naked, gagged and kept suspended at tip-toe by manacles attached to the ceiling. As Lia opens the door she squints from the sudden light and begins twisting frantically.
Rees's duck behind Brenin would provoke an AoO if Rondo had a weapon. As he doesn't, he just gets shocked.
Brenin's up.
DM Luke
Rondo ducks under Brenin's attack and gives ground, backing into the corner. He downs the potion and drops the empty vial to the floor.
"You're going to pay for thissss," he snarls. The last syllable stretched out into a hissing as his entire body transforms to gas. He's still there, but in cloud form.
The combat round continues if any of you have an attack you'd like to make against the gaseous wizard. Otherwise each of you can act.
Brenin Grazier
"Your full of potions and wands. No spells of your own except for a few skeletons. Not much of a wizard I'd say. Come look us up any time."
I turn to Rees. "See what you can find in here. Make sure nothing useful gets left behind. If we can't use it, feed it to the fire. I'll help Lia with (the naked) Samaritha."
Are the manacles hooked to the ceiling or permanently attached in some way? Can we lift her off or do we have to pick the lock?
DM Luke
A link in Samaritha's manacles is simply looped over a hook that is secured to the ceiling. It's easy enough to lift her off.
