As you scramble for cover and try to observe the creatures, you see that they are humanoids, walking slightly hunched or shambling in their movements. They have patchy brown fur, snouts and appear to be armed mostly with hunting spears. There are two walking slightly in advance of the rest of the group (about 50', they are the ones you can observe @200' so the other 4 are @250'). One of them says something to the other, then turns and runs back to the group. The remaining one tightens his grip on his spear and begins scanning the horizon while continuing to walk forward.

Garra moves out of cover and begins twirls her sling, hoping to strike one of the gnolls. She asks Klo to circle behind the gnolls and attack from concealment, if possible.

Josi mutters to herself.. "Ta hell with all this waiting." She then steps out of stealth and looks at the gnolls then yells "If you are looking for a fight come at me!"

Josi manages to intimidate the lead gnoll, his companions sort of laughing and presumably deriding him in the gnoll language as they all move forward toward her.

Garra fires her sling missing the nearest gnoll (H13) while trying to convince Klo to wait for them to get just a little closer...(same as stay trick, Handle Animal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 < DC 15) but Klo rushes out from under the brush and attacks Gnoll3!

Charging across the field toward the newly arrived Gnolls, Josi's momentum carries her custom crafted blade right through the neck of the gnoll cleanly taking his head off. The lifeless body falls limply to the ground in a spray of blood.

Josi calms herself from her rage as the battle stops. She is very fatigued and tells the others "T...t..tie up the sleeping one... we may be able.. to question it." She stops for a moment to catch her breath a little more then continues saying "If it has no one of communicating with us I'll lop it's head off and be done with it."

Yanick shakes her head at Josi, "They only speak gnoll. Best to end it before it wakes."

So Josi does.

The other gnolls in the distance start moving off quickly, heading back the way they came. They were dressed in studded leather and wielding spears but carrying nothing else of value.
