The goblins dogs charge you, and will soon be in sausage-throwing range, so to speak.
Just to be sure: Enev, Takeshi carry Fadj, and Selene and all characters whose name ends by A (Malya, Essa, Ah Mera and Groyshna) stay to fight?^^

(Tane)
You see nothing but trees -not an unusual sight in a forest-and rain.
you hear a THUNK right above your head when a sling bullet hit the tree you've been resting against. Goblins aren't that far, wherever they are.
Tane Norwind
Tane recognizes that his enemy obvious has sights on him and he best not stay put for too long. He's already stood here long enough. He crouches down and picks up a broken branch that had fallen from the tree above. He does his best to position himself opposite the angle that the bullet came from by putting the tree between he and his assailant. Using the tree for cover he throws the branch in the opposite direction towards a tree in the distance, hoping to provide a distraction. After the branch thwacks the tree he tightens the grip on his blade and begins to move forward at a hurried pace hoping to circle around whatever is attacking him.

The dogs stops in their tracks and sniff the strange sausages, eating them in two quick mouthfuls, barking to each other.
Dogs are 20 feet from you, and will be considered Flat Footed (CA 11) for one round. The hard rain gives you -4 on Perception rolls and Ranged attacks.

Not a very pretty sight.

Essa Dwae
Essa stood resolutely as the rain poured over her. She felt it trickle down inside her hide shirt and down her back. Her loincloth was soaked and her leather pack felt heavy despite repelling most of the water. It felt refreshing in a sense, and washed some of the grime and gore from the trail and previous fights from her. Invigorated, she wondered how long the dogs would be subdued by the sausages, she realized she had a scroll she previously mentioned. "I am attempting to calm the dogs magically, if they stop menacing us, go for other targets!". She fishes out her scroll of calm animals, stepping behind the cover of a thick tree trunk and hunching her body over the vellum shielding it from the rain to read the Druidic runes from scroll targeting the dogs.
Whenever Essa's initative is..
HD affected: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3) + 1 = 5 within 30' of each other.

Tane heard another bullet whizzing past him and was turning to try and find the shooter when one smacked him in the side of the head. He reaches up and places his hand on his the side of his head and pulls it away to see he his hand covered in blood. As he stares as his palm and watches the rain begin to slowly wash away the traces of his wound he decides on a different tactic.
Oh that's it, enough of this hiding business!
Tane roars, "Alright! You've made me angry now you pesky little things! You best run because I'm coming for you!"
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Tane looks around, unable to get his bearings and begins to hoof it, attempting to use the trees for cover from the direction of the attack to the best of his ability.
No use standing still acting as a target!
Malya Vardigan
Mayla was about to call on fire when Essa's words stopped her so instead she called on her Lotus Shield to protect them. Everyone saw the faint shimmering lotus float infront of them.
+1 AC For everyone!

Got it - thanks!
If it was one goblin, or possibly two Tane would take his chances. But three or more would probably not end up in his favor.
No reason to press your luck in this horrible weather Tane, time to get a move on.
Tane places his hand over his forehead to block the rain enough to look around...
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 6
... but still can't make out anything in this rain. He does note that there are trees all around his north, west and east but not to the south. There appears to be some type of opening in that direction so he quickly makes his way south. He approaches an overpass of some kind that looks down on a dirt path below. He sheathes his sword and bends down to get a closer look at what is below.
That probably leads back to Ka-
His thoughts are premature and are cut short because he failed to notice that the ground he was standing on was unstable, softened from the torrential downpour. He puts too much weight on his forward leg and the wet earth gives way sending him tumbling end over end down the hill like a runaway ball. When he finally finishes rolling he slowly lifts his mud-covered face from a large puddle in the dirt path. He is laying on the ground soaking wet, completely covered in mud. He groans loudly, "Uuuuuuugggh."
Let me know if you're ok with the liberties I took and/or if you want me to roll anything.
DM Lil" Eschie
With a loud bark, two of the goblin dogs are charging towards you, the third one loking Essa with the best puppy-eyed impression it can manage (not much)...
But you had time enough to get prepared!
Malya and other can act
..........................................................................
(Tak, Enev and Tane)
As Takeshi and Enev are still pondering how to get across the mud, they hear something like a crashing noise, farther away.
You have no idea what it might be, but it must be quite big.
Fine, Tane. I had the idea of making you fall down the slope anyway.. You took 2 points of nonlethal damage ^^ and you are 60 feet away from Tak&Enev. I'll speed up things a little.. but don't jump to conclusion (or over cliffs..)Remember it's raining heavily (-4 to Perception rolls+distance (-1/10 feet))
Malya Vardigan
Mayla called on her knowledge of the arcane arts. Her hands twisted together and then spread apart in the shape of an opening lotus as she spoke the words to the spell calling on the powers of the Fire Lotus. When they get within the cone of the spell she would release it.
"Fire Lotus burn the enemies before me!"
Burning Hands DC 15, 15ft cone

Burn!, Dc 15, GobDog3: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
A double "Yieelp!" is heard from both mangy dogs, as they took the flames from Malya right on the muzzle.
The odor of burnt flesh- and remember its goblin's dog flesh...-rise to your noses.
Selene can act, then Groyshna
Enev Faborn
"Did you heard that, Takeshi? Maybe there are goblins on this side too, lower the stretcher and draw your weapon" Enev tells Takeshi, waiting to put down the stretcher and get ready for combat.
Selene Vosmus
Selene swings here morning star, at the dog that came her and Ah'mera's way, backed by the emotion of a quiet storm.
"Am xusale'ku sokule noelki kokifaku me'no vafaamle'kasu!" She yells

Tane Norwind
Soaking wet, laying face first in the mud is not exactly how he intended to spend this time today. Pushing his hands up from the ground he quickly raises himself up and looks ahead to see several-
1d20 - 4 ⇒ (15) - 4 = 11
What? What is that, more goblins? Something definitely up there.
Tane pulls out his sword, trying to make out how many of them there are. At least two, maybe three or four? Doesn't matter, he needs to be ready. Using his free hand he wipes the muck from his face and mouth so he can speak. He shouts loudly down to the "goblins" ahead of him.
"I gave you the chance to run, didn't I? I'm getting quite agitated with this cat and mouse business!"
Tane slowly begins to advance south, ready to attack when he is in range of a threat (that he can see)
Tane Norwind
Tane does a double-take at the response, that's no goblin. I know that voice!
Tane quickly makes his way forward towards the voice, his sword still at the ready. When he gets close enough to see the small group he smiles broadly and slaps Enev hard on the shoulder. "Enev! Ha! And Takeshi."
He nods to Takeshi, the goblin threat temporarily forgotten. "So, uh. What are you doing here? Why aren't you out on your big adventure? Where is-"
Tane looks around and spots only Enev, Takeshi and a stretcher.
Oh no!
Tane's eyes go wide as he exclaims, "Selene, no!" He drops to a crouch near the stretcher as he frantically begins to examine the body.
Enev Faborn
"Hey Tane! Glad to see you here, you choose the right time and the right spot to be playing with mud..and that's Fadj he's badly injured, Selene is dealing with goblins right now" Enev is glad to see Tane, he feels relieved.
Tane Norwind
A look of relief washes over Tane's face. "Phew. Ok. I thought for a minute there, nevermind."
"I was hunting-", however poorly, "-Enev, not playing in the mud. I, uh, nevermind. Right. What's going on here?"
He clears his throat as he stands up and nods to Enev as he begins to refocus on the task at hand. "Right. Is Fadj ok here with you, I should probably go help Selene."
Tane pauses as he looks in the direction that Enev motions toward, "Where is everyone else? Down there with her?"
With a hesitant pause he lowers his voice slightly and covers his mouth as he leans in to Enev and whispers, "Is uh, Essa down there too?"
Essa Dwae
Essa steps up to a goblin dog and takes a double overhand swing with her flaming club.
Attack roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
"Roguk you stay back here, I don't want you catching mange."
DM Lil" Eschie
The second goblin dog fall to a mighty swing of Essa's club, its spine crushed.
A sound way too common for Malya's ears...
But, now, what do you do of the third goblin dog? It's waiting as peacefully as possible, sniffing the ground for any spare bits of sausage
..........................................................................
Selene Vosmus
Selene grins and waves to Essa and points at the puppy-eyed goblin dog, yelling to compete with the sound of the rain, "Kusabo nasafa elva amku elfa boamsoso amku, noelki safa same'saamle'j'o! Kuel ne koelle'suku, Am te'kisu'ku xusale'ku kuel xusakunako noelki koamku su'kukivava!"
Selene hurries to fetch Enev and Takashi before they stray too far and spread the word. Although it's nearly impossible to understand whatever that word is.
Essa Dwae
If we are briefly non-combat Essa will fashion a quick leash/collar out of some rope and tie the goblin dog to a tree, careful not to touch the filthy creature, lowering the rope over its head carefully. She will distract it with sausages.
Essa smiles to Selene, "Well at least one of them heeded my magic. As vile as these creatures are they are just animals and I hate to destroy them. There is little difference between them and a pack of wolves, although I am guessing they were sent upon us by goblins, our all to familiar foes. "
Essa goes about her task carefully as the rain pours down on her soaking her. Oh well she did need a bath badly. Despite her wrinkled fingertips she deftly works the rope, also soaked. It wasn't the first time she was drenched in a downpour and would not be the last. In fact she enjoyed the elements and extreme weather was just an example of how wondrous nature could be. She squished her toes in the mud and adjusted her hide shirt. That would take days to dry without a fire, and would probably smell pretty bad, maybe not as bad as Roguk though, who looked somewhat miserable right now. It brought a small chuckle to her lips.
Tane Norwind
Tane stares off into the figures in the distance as he waits for a response from Enev. Before Enev speaks however, he sees that someone is approaching. He points back from the direction he came and says, "There are goblins chasing me from up in those woods, over the ridge. There are a few minutes behind me but will be on us soon if we persist in staying. Keep an eye out, I'll check on the others."
With that he abandons Enev and Takesi and pulls out his blade as he rushes to meet whomever it is. As he approaches the midpoint he begins to notice that is Selene who is approaching. A look of relief washes over his face as he reaches out for her. He speaks quickly, his words running together. "Oh thank the Gods you are ok! Enev said you were having trouble with some goblins down here and I saw the litter and I thought that it was you and then I-"
He stops when he realizes he is rambling, the rain washing some (but hardly all) of the mud from his body.
I moved Tane halfway up between to meet Selene before she goes the entire distance.
Selene Vosmus
Selene drops out of her mad dash at first sight of Tane’s unfamiliar outline in the calming downpour. Raising her shield up high to shelter her eyes when Tane emerges from the rains concealment, her orange eyes strike open wide with excitement.
”Tane, Kosoel! Amku amsu suel J`oelka kuel su noelki kofa! Xukosaku sa kasano amku kosasu nele.” she says as she gives a laugh of relief, but her excitement fades to weariness from the day’s events, not to mention she is speaking in tongues (again or still?).
She meets his reach by embracing him firmly with her outstretched arm by his shoulder and giving a thankful shake of relief. Meekly smiling, she pulls a grassy chunk of mud from one of his chain shirt’s links. ”Naelme` xuamkuko me. she says as she pulls him, politely but urgently, around to both head back toward Enev and Takashi.
Barring objection, Selene intends to retrieve Enev and Takashi and regroup everyone. She will even relieve Enev of stretcher duty to expedite the regrouping.
Im assuming the stress of combat and the situation hasn’t died in one round, hence the still speaking in tongues, keeping consistent with the last ruling.
Tane Norwind
I think she's quite happy to see me!
Tane grins ear to ear when she excitedly mentions his name and embraces him. He shakes his head and grins when she speaks. He says, "You know I have no idea what you're saying right?"
He hurriedly walks back with her to rejoin the group and assist with the stretcher. When he rejoins the group he reiterates, "Goblins will be coming over that hill momentarily, we should really get a move on out of here or prepare to take them down."
He rubs the side of his head where a gash from where the bullet smashed him earlier.
"They were raining down on me from afar and I prefer not to get knocked in the noggin again if I can help it."
Tane and Selene have previous history during a combat situation together, so due to that I will assume he is aware of her battle curse.
Malya Vardigan
Mayla would look around and would look to Groyshna. "Thank you." Mayla said before moving to assist Essa, then, clapping Groyshna on the back and Ah'Mera. "Lets meet up with the others. Selene probably went to them. We dont want those with the stretcher to have to back track."
Is her curse also for understanding languages when speaking tongues?"
DM Lil" Eschie
Tane Norwind
Tane pats Selene gently on the back twice, like you would a child who just said something very cute. He smirks and lets a brief chuckle out as he shakes his head gently. "Nothing, nothing. We'll talk about it later."
I really need to talk to her about that, I keep forgetting!
Tane looks up to the general area of where he thinks the goblins will be coming from...
Perception!: 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (9) - 7 = 2 I have decided Tane needs glasses.
... but can't really take his eyes of Selene as she starts to walk ahead of him. Happy to be with the group of young adventurers, he sees no sign of immediate danger - but he knows its coming.

perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Correct me if Im wrong, but the DC 20 already includes the adjusted difficulty of spotting the goblins right? Otherwise that's a DC of 27.
Selene calls out with a shout, "J'oelnesoamlesu, xusakunako elkiku!" Raising her shield she pushes up the hill, as safely as possible, toward the goblins and tries to use the uneven terrain as cover by dropping low while trying to draw attention away from the others.

Takeshi chose to ignore the fast talking boy. He knew him, but was too busy trying to figure out the perfect solution for this situation.
Dogs, mud puddle, Tane, stretcher, little one, rain,...
"Tane, you are a tracker. How far are we from our home?
Enev Faborn
"That's the first thing to say Tane, when you have goblins behind your back, you say 'GOBLINS!' and you greet us later." As Selene is carrying the stretcher, Enev draws his sword and shield, preparing for the fight.
"Now there are goblins everywhere."
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

[dice=Perception]1d20+3
Add putting the stretcher down if Selene succeeded at her perception check. Otherwise I have no problem holding the stretcher when we are attacked. I intended to take over, but the goblins showed up before Enev and Selene actually got around to the swap, that was supposed to be all ooc earlier. I dont want to force anyone to do something 'out of character' like that.
Essa Dwae
Essa looks at the goblin dog as it sits there docile.
Reflex save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Ugh, filthy creature.
She attempts to discern where the others are. Looking back at Malya and Groyshna and Ah'mera to make sure everyone is ok. She saw Selene run back up the trail. Surely there has to be goblins somewhere... She listens closely to the sounds in the trees, hoping to discern some small noise in the pitter patter of the rain.
Perception check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Hmm. She slops through the mud toward the others. "Roguk, Follow"
She gives the soaking wet ape a carrot to munch on and looks back at the dog.
I imagine it will chew through the rope in time enough when the spell wears off. Knowledge Nature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 to see if the dog would be able to do so.
Tane Norwind
"J'oelnesoamlesu, xusakunako elkiku!"
As Selen shouts, Tane sighs.
What in the world ...
He looks around and doesn't notice anything in particular, but by the way she is pushing up the hill she must have seen the goblins that were behind him.
Tane looks back to Even and Takeshi and says matter of factually, "The goblins have arrived, prepare yourselves. I'd estimate it's probably two-two and a half hours back to town."
Tane glances down at his mud-covered body and sighs, "Maybe three in this weather actually. Probably four carrying that stretcher."
Looking to Even he clasps a hand on the paladin's shoulder and says, "I hope you remember our lessons well my friend."
He taps him twice more on the shoulder and moves up in front of Selene, moving up to ... somewhere.
I'm not sure where she thinks she is going, but I'll be damned if she thinks she is going first!
He shouts back at her without turning around, "C'mon, let's get on with it. Remember to keep your guard up and if..." He stops mid-sentence, remembering she has no clue what he is saying.
With a huff he grunts, "Nevermind."
