Lightning Lad
Cosmic Boy here Lightning Lad, the Science Police have been called and will be arriving in a few minutes. I'd recommend waiting for their arrival.

Cosmos Masters Note: Medicus One is stationed quite close to Earth.

<To Supes and legionaires>If the Galactic Police are not her yet or to arrive soon; we will need to tow this tug back to HQ, where one of us can go through it thouroughly, we can tranfer the prisoners to custody from there as well. Superman, can you scan the ship for explosives, it is not common that villians are so motivated or loyal to such a degree to self terminate, but we should take precautions. Cosmic Boy, if you could gather the others and meet us here, we can lock on this ship to tow and embark. Does anyone have anything to add?

Superman

As your eyes gaze at the ship your X-Ray vision sees past the ships hull. Inside you see 4 passengers all of which appear humanoid reptillian as did the others which have been encountered. The ship has two comparments in the center which do not appear to be standard for most crafts.

In order to identify these chambers to the best of your ability please make a Sciences Spacecraft Engineering AOE.

You do not recognize anything on board the craft which would resemble explosives of any type.

Is there anything else you specifically would like to inquire about?

This is 30th century tech and I'm not the most tech savvy perin in the world to begin with. I think I'd rather just give Lightning Lad a good description of things and let him handle the questions and the rolls. I'll just let you put the words in my mouth when it comes to the description.

"Most of this ship is way beyond what I'm used to. Maybe you can help me make sense of this and tell me what I'm looking for. I'll start with the bridge and work my way back. There are four lizard-y looking fellows up front..."

Wish J'onn was here. Telepathy would be handy right about now.

Superman's description continued...

as you can guess, Superman, spaceships are very comples with a lot of things that can go wrong and cause a ship to explode. Generally their are many fail-safes to keep that from happening and various bulkheads that close to keep such a thing from spreading and getting out of control; most is automated. So, if they are disabling the automation controls; that is a signal to us of their intent. Their reactor should not be building in power output, as we damaged it; it should shut down and render power inert except for life support and such primary functions. Weapon systems can be separate; so while bombs are not common, they do exist and could be activated. I would think there would be a countdown of some kind or one to carry a remote trigger for maximum effect

mercenaries are a tricky lot

Superman and Lightning Lad

As you look throughout the craft and relay to Lightning Lad what you see, the following areas are outstanding.

The ship has two comparments in the center which do not appear to be standard for most crafts. One of the chambers measures about 15 feet wide and has machinery along the walls, the center of the room is empty. It appears to be a cooling device of some kind, giving you the impression that its a cryogenic chamber.

You also see a second chamber that clearly is used for housing any stolen body parts. The room has all the necessary equipment to maintain such items for a lengthy period of time.

Finally, your search reveals that the hull of the ship is made of a particular dense material as compared to other 31st century crafts. The shields of the craft have also been modified significantly to provide far more protection than a ship like this normally would provide.

You see the four passengers sitting in the craft with looks of despair. They begin to talk among themselves.

1. "What should we do, we can't escape the Legion of Super-Heroes and even if we do, we certainly cannot return to our Master and report our failure."

2. "No we cannot, the Legionnaires will most likely turn us over to the Science Police."

3. "We could offer to make a deal with them, perhaps if we tell them who our Master is they will be leniant with us, perhaps even let us go."

2. "I have my doubts about that, I think they are more likely to threaten us first in order to acquire information, then turn us over to the Science Police."

4. "Well I don't know about you three but I certainly don't want to end up in Takon Galtros, the prison planet."

1. "Then what do you suggest?"

4. "I suggest this...."

Superman, you see one of the mercenaries pull out a hand held remote with a few buttons on it. It appears as if he is about to activate the device.
