As Jin kept a lookout, Flynt looked over the door for any surprises. Not finding any, he tried to open it and found it locked. Quickly, he went to work on it. However, the door lock was being quite and wouldn't budge.

Jin didn't hear or see anyone approaching, however, there came a sensation in his ears. Concentrating on it, he pinpointed the source two doors down in the middle of the hallway.

Jin, you've got one shot at that spot.

Meanwhile, Flynt tried to unlock the door, but it still wouldn't budge.

Give another Flynt. You're so close.

Thanks, I really don't want to talk about it. as far as my eyesight goes, give me some time, I don't know right now. this problem has allowed me to harness my internal energies and redirect them, giving me a unique way to "see" the world. I don't think I can just go back to the way I was before.

Terra pauses a bit. she still is not too happy about the drow upstairs. and the interest in her.

after she has a bit more to eat, So, what are you sorry about? and getting back from where?

He takes Renard into his lap, stroking the fox's soft fur.

Rushing back to the inn Gashka silently chastises herself, I shouldn't have left her alone....please please don't let her be too upset.

Seeing Terra and Chris downstairs she rushes up the stairs, taking them two at a time. Coming to Tehanna's room she stops and takes a deep breath. Knocking quietly she says, "Hey....it's Gashka...is it okay if I come in?"

As Gashka rushes by, Terra does not even seem to notice, or she did and just chose to not respond.

Well, I'm sure it will come to you eventually, she says, returning her attention to Christophe. Oh, and I will pay attention to you, welcome to our merry band of misfits.

Hey boss the job is loco tonight, can you just roll a diplomacy and make up something for me? I'd like to convince them that they owed me that favor, but I'm ok with paying them for my mistake ultimately.

Both of Jin's fiery projectiles stop in mid-air, and after a moment an Observer appears then crashes to the floor. Which distracted Flynt a little, preventing him from getting the lock open.

Flynt, keep trying. You need an 11 or better.

At the Inn:

Tehanna looks up at Anyka and simply nods.

Meanwhile downstairs, the Barkeeper walks over to Christophe and Terra's table, "Can I get you anything?"

Back at the dock:

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

With a combination of charm and double talk, Tikkle manages to convince the two women that they owed him a big favor and got them to reduce their price. After paying them, he headed off to the Barbarian's Blade.

30 GP is what you paid them.

Gashka opens the holy door and steps into the room, closing the door begind her. Seeing her sitting on the bed and obviously upset, Gashka walks over to her. "I'm so sorry Tehanna....I wasn't thinking."

Flynt, keep rolling until you get an 11, you'll get it eventually.

Jin reached inside the orb and extracted a small metal sphere that Ulric had given him to pratice some of his minor magics when he first became an apprentice.

Tehanna looked at Gashka with tear streaked cheeks, "It's okay Gashka, I understand. It just would have been nice to have a little warning is all." Out of shear exhaustion, the Dark Elf collapsed on the bed and went to sleep.

After covering her with a blanket, Gashka has Anyka follow her outside the room. "I can't believe I was so stupid. She must have been so freaked out." She shakes her head a little, "I just feel awful for putting her through all this." While it's obvious that she really does feel bad about what happened, she can't stop the deep blush that creeps up her cheeks as she thinks about her boat ride with Tikkle.

On the way back to the inn, Tikkle decides to see if he can recoup from the day's expenses a bit as he sees a well dressed man swearing at a servant.
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
"Sorry mate, had a few too many tonight" he said in passing as he bumped into the man.

Gashka looks at Anyka and can't suppress the huge toothy grin that spreads across her face anymore than she can keep the sparkle from her eyes or blush from her cheeks.

"It was....wonderful. I....I couldn't understand why I was having all these feelings about seeing him around other women until we went out. He was just so....Tikkle." She covers her mouth as she giggles a little bit. "We went out on one of the little sloops by the dock and we talked....mostly. He said that he was afraid that someone else would come and sweep me away before he had the chance to tell me how he really felt....and I....I told him that he was being silly and the only man I would ever want to sweep me away was him.....and....it just sorta went from there. I...I really love him Anyka, I've never felt like this about anyone before and now, I know that he loves me too. Couldn't miss it from the way he was bellowing it from the ship." She smiles then and her eyes seem a little moist. "I didn't know anything could feel like this."

Starsky & Hutch:
The door silently swings open, revealing a desk with three boxes on it, and a large caged area. Entering the room, the air feels almost stagnant and difficult to breath. Looking over the boxes, you quickly find the one marked Brand Case.

Opposed Perception (More of a formality really): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Recoiling from your touch, "Get away from me, you dock scum!" Turning back to his servant, "Now listen here Jarvis, I don't care what my father said...." You stopped listening as you rounded the corner and looked in the pouch.

Tikkle, you just picked a pouch containing 25 PP and 3 GP.

Smiling broadly Anyka embraces Gashka in a heartfelt hug. "It's about time you two got it together. I was starting to worry you'd punch out the next tavern made that stuck her cleavage in his face." she says laughing quietly. "You two have had a thing going on between you since we were kids. I'm so happy for you."

Flynt opened the box and right on top was the rope they were looking for.

As Jin took up his lookout position once more, the sensation came back, but this time, it was coming from a spot right between him and Flynt.

Once again, one shot.

The Barkeep leaves and soon returns with a couple of sandwiches. "I hope these will do."
