The smart thing to do originally would have been a full round retreat, instead of trying to be clever by making Fizzy run away, so I can escape. I didn't realise the Were-Jaguar wasn't chained up. Oops! I go to help a crying woman and will possibly die. Ouch.

Lelouch is 30 feet away from the camp. The area is dense terrain which means every 5 feet of movement is actually 10 feet.
Fizzy and Selena were/are 20 feet away from Lelouch.
Torq is 20 feet away from Fizzy and Selena, but 40 feet away from Lelouch.

It is now your turn what do you do?

Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
With a massive gash across his chest, Lelouch flee's back to the camp (pretty sure withdraw is a full round action that doesn't provoke attack of opportunity and allows movement of 4x your normal speed) where he heads straight for the centre of everyone.
Can Torq, Selena and Fizzy work out who I am, or is it too dark?
Edit: Just realised both probably have Darkvision. Can you tell I don't ever play Gnome's or Half-Orc's? :p
Also, would someone actually be aware of a spell targeting them if the spell failed? All he did was say "run away" in Dwarven. Always wondered about that, because when I GM, I always feel it shouldn't be unless it's made obvious. Strange one really.
BloodWolven

Full withdraw is a double move action, and you do not provoke attacks of opportunity from the first 5 foot square.
If a spell fails, I always tell them they feel a wash of magical energies wash over them. Even if it succeeds, though no one ever really reads or tells the group what the description is with the spell.
Torq Sharptooth
Noticing Lelouch stalking up catches his attention.. "Now what's he doing here.." A moment later Lelouch casts a spell at Fizzy.. "WTF, is he an assassin?" watching him run he sees the she cat jump after him.. Torq double moves to try and cut Lelouch off.. If he can he wants to intercede between him and the cat and take him alive.. "Whoa kitty, its Lelouch! Lelouch stop and explain yourself!.." Trip attempt if he doesn't stop..

Round 2
Fizzy 22
Selena 20
Torq 10
Lelouch 6
Fizzy stays where he is not for sure what is going on, He sings to inspire his feline death to take care of the assailant. "OH my feline of death, she goes forth under the night, she finds those who hurt me, and true to Fizz way she fights for the little ones..." 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26 Perform Check. and he moves 10 feet closer to the action.
Selena Pounces again...

2 claws 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 and 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
bite 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Torq it is now your turn. Lelouch is on the ground bleeding profusely, though it looks like his armor deflected her bite. What do you do?
Torq Sharptooth
Torq immediately intercedes between the cat and Lelouch.. "You will stop right now Selena! This is my friend and i will not allow you to harm him further.. Stand down i say! Fizzy! Get this cat to stop NOWWWW!..
He puts himself where the cat will have to go threw him to attack Lelouch again.. He ready's a strike if she chooses to do so..
He's being loud enough that theres no way the camp didn't hear him

War Party
"There will be no occupation troubles, for our clan lives far to the south near the foothills of the mountain. A group of us will be living with the Chosen until he dismisses us."
"They raid surrounding farms and look for unwary travelers. They don't managed the lands. They have victimized many creatures, fey, animals, humans and other living creatures and plants of the forests. If eradicated the animals and plants will have a more natural cycle again and many of those living in the greenbelt will be much more safe. Their locations are near here, and farther south, in a ruin of a monostary. We keep to ourselves and they stay away from us. We just have a large area of hunting, which includes bandits, we just have not had a reason to fully engage them in war."
BloodWolven
|
Yes, the War Party was done about 10 minutes after all the introductions.
Klaus Mandrake
"It would be a mistake not to hang each and every one of the knaves from the biggest tree in the forest. And not because I thirst for their blood, but because it sends a clear message that those who take charge are neither weak nor easily manipulated." Lelouch expected an answer and he gets one. "Were it up to me alone, the women of the camp would already be braiding paraffin necklaces in anticipation of victory. But the majority will rule in this endeavor."
He raps a hand on an empty wooden table in Fionn's tent. "Has anyone surveyed this monastery? I should like to know of its fortifications, what lands features surround it on all sides, what manners of ingress and egress there are two and from the building. And what do we of the location they hold near these woods? If this is an ancillary location we are nearest to, it may be beneficial to strike them first to gain information about the monastery farther to the south, and to choke off any supply chain they have built to funnel ill-gotten goods back to what sounds to be a base of operations. Though I warn, it would be important to guarantee that no man escapes to warn of our advance, unless in doing so we gain some tactical advantage."
Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
Not allowing any to escape is easier said than done. We need a good idea of their base layout. Where are the watch towers if any, where are their tents, how easy is it to invade them from all sides to ensure we have them pinned down until no man is left standing?
Lelouch looks to Klaus and raises a point.
I do not wish for any Bandit to live, but sometimes taking one alive can have its advantages. I believe not all have killed, with some, quite possibly, only being guilty of theft. However, once we have a Kingdom up and running, we can take any surviving enemies we acquire, to trial. The general populace feel more at ease when a system is in place, as opposed to having their leaders taking things into their own hands all of the time, and dealing with people how they see fit.
Additionally, sometimes it proves beneficial to interrogate our enemies to gather more information, and I for one would very much like to know what awaits us past this Bandit ridden encampment, so who's for taking one alive?
Fizzwiddle Glockenfleffor XXII
Thanl you Fuzzwiddle. You acted like a true friend protrcting me.
he sees LeLouche
But I gavehim cake. Why would he try to kill me?
Fizzy cries then strips Le louches armor and weapons and holy symbol, leaving him in only his small clothes. He shred his other clothes to make bonds and a gag. He binds and gags him
Mr Tooth will you help carry him back for trial. You were right to halt the bloodshed, as she was right to seek it. You acted as a true member of the Fizz.
the tears flow freely now as they head back to camp.
Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
Be a bit hard to strip him of his Holy Symbol. It's attached to him/is part of him. ;)
Also, how is he going to get any clothes now? His armour and clothes over his armour are all he had on him. Could have just left Torq carrying him as he was unconscious anyway and he wasn't even trying to kill you. :p
I still don't know how you're aware of a spell being cast when he casts his spells by simply saying what's on his mind, such as run away. He may have just told you to run away.
Fizzwiddle Glockenfleffor XXII
because i resisted it. Here is a quote of what happens when you resist
Succeeding on a Saving Throw
A creature that successfully saves against a spell that has no obvious physical effects feels a hostile force or a tingle, but cannot deduce the exact nature of the attack. Likewise, if a creature's saving throw succeeds against a targeted spell, you sense that the spell has failed. You do not sense when creatures succeed on saves against effect and area spells.
and there is a frickin dragon out there, if i flee into the woods who knows what i run into. I went back and looked at the spoiler and you said that you dont consider it PvP. I do. I specifically asked you NOT to engage in any of that with me, and you did it anyway. To be honest if I was the type to engage in it I would have killed you on the spot CDG with the pointy end of the hook hammer, or not stopped the cat-though dm did that for me and i completely approve of it. As to how you are going to get clothes Fizzy sure as hell doesnt care.
Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
It was harmless and all that I could really do once I'd been spotted to try and escape. It's nothing personal against you, so there's no need to make it personal. PVP is like me saying "I swing my hammer at you or explode you". This was to get him the hell out of there, and knowing his weakness, he panicked. I know what you asked, but this isn't a bad way of playing. I'm roleplaying how my character would act, and am purposely not being a douche about it. I don't dictate how you play your character, and yet I toned his personality down a HUGE amount because you said you'd stop playing if I didn't, and you still have a go about this. Wishing a PC would be killed on the grounds that the PC told you to run away so he could escape himself, is as bad as someone PVP'ing to kill another party member. I specifically said if I cast spells on party members, they aren't going to be harmful. I don't care about nearly dying though. It's a roleplaying game, things can get misinterpreted as easily as they can in real life. There's no need to be so peed off at me over this, and if you are, that's your problem. We don't need to speak to one another out of character.
Fizzwiddle Glockenfleffor XXII
we have seen a dragon already, when you wake up ask Sly
though I do not know why I keep engaging. I am not going to say you are right you will not say I am right. Why don't we we both stop acting like spoiled children and let what happens happen.
Torq Sharptooth
Torq watch's Fizzy take Lelouch's things, all while keeping an eye on the cat.. "Do you think that neccessary Fizzy? this was obviously some kind of mistake and regardless he is unconcious.. And what the Freak is the glowing ball of light about?" Torq scoops Lelouch up and turns back towards the camp.
Imho i dont think this is anything to get upset about.. Lelouch acted as his character would put into the situation he was, and so did Fizzy.. I personally don't think it was Lelouch's intention to hurt you, or in any way pvp with u Fizzy and im quite sure he learned his lesson with the mauling he recieved.. I am quite enjoying this game and would hate to see either of you leave over a simple misunderstanding.. There are a lot of strong rping personalities in this group.. With that will come the occasional IC headbutting, which is not a bad thing in moderation and serves to keep things interesting.. With that said how bout we just let this one go and not let somthing like this happen again? There's really no reason for either of you to leave.. Although personally i wouldnt mind it if the charming she cat were to leave lol..
Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
Yea, that's my point Torq. It's now added a huge amount of roleplay options for me, as I'm sure it's added a few for other characters. I have no intention of leaving, but if I am kicked out, I have no choice in the matter. Blood roleplayed the most devastating part of the assault, and I plan to roleplay with it. :)

So in game.... Recon,
Fizzy do you try to stabalize Lelouch as well? Or do you start pulling off his clothes and armor?
The bright light zooms off.
Torq Sharptooth
Probably missed but i poured a clw pot down his throat for 4 healing, and yea even though he doesnt know what Fizzy can heal he still would have asked if he has the capability to heal him anymore
Torc watches the light fly off and again asks.. "Fizzy do you have any idea what that light was? And i dont think its neccesary to strip the man, he's unconcious and no threat to anyone atm.. He needs to be given to opportunity to explain himself not shackled.." "If anyone needs to be shackled its that lovely cat woman.. Wonder why she would lie to me, being my close best friend and all.."
Does her charm not allow any additional saves to shrug it off? Or does it last forever until dispeled? I mean shredding his friend in front of him seems like should allow a reconsideration of his feelings towards her is all im saying
BloodWolven

Fizzy listens to Torq. He does not tear up his clothing, and just follows Torq back to camp with gnome hammer in hand, as the half-orc picks up Lelouch and walks back to camp.
The guards, one of the twins, Krazok, Torq and Lelouch. Krazok and the twin, being the only guards still on duty, attempt to wake up a few of the important people, Klaus, Vik, Xan, Rekka (and any other PCs I can't think of right now). Krazok wakes up Vik. The half-elf wakes up the others.
"Problems you should wake up"
Torq Sharptooth
Entering the camp Torq props Lelouch up and looks to the group.. "Apparently there was some confusion in the woods and as you can see Lelouch is quite hurt.. He's stable atm, but needs some more healing to regain consciousness and explain his actions.. Does anyone have any healing? Miss Selena also imo needs to do some explaining.. Particularly the part about changing into a crazed beast and wanting to kill things.. " He waits for all he said to sink in..
Krazok Vell Firesource
"So...... the dainty elf did all that to him?" Krazok looks at you like you need to screw your head on better. "What did she use?"
Torq Sharptooth
"Well she shapeshifted into a beast and tore his ass up.. I only just stopped her from killing him, or should i say Fizzy stopped her.. Not sure how that happened.. Fizzy care to expound on that? At the same time can someone explain what shes doing here? Is she part of yalls charter group or? I feel a strong connection to her for some strange reason.." Its not the only thing i would like feel.. He takes a seat and pulls his flask.. "I need a drink.."
Going to bed as well, will post in the morn..
Klaus Mandrake
War Party
"Taking at least one of them alive is a goal to strive for," Klaus shrugs, showing no opposition to the suggestion. "But this talk of having trials is ludicrous. Who is to judge them? Will you sweet talk a sycophantic circle of lawmen from Brevoy to come down and do the dirty work we're being paid to do? Or will we all don the black caps of magistrates and hand down verdicts based upon whatever law we make up on the spot in these otherwise lawless lands? We've neither the time nor the infrastructure to hold court any time soon, and no means by which to adequately incarcerate them while they could wait years for a proper legal system to be drafted. Justice deferred is justice denied," he cherry picks a quote with immediate application.
Klaus thinks for a moment, and then seems to get impatient with his own thinking or the irresolution of this war party. "We are invading conquerors. Simply impress those we keep alive into military service, exonerating them of any crimes in exchange for their willingness to die on the battlefield, and hang the rest."
As if to call a matter to vote, he lifts one hand. "Question is, which enclave of bandits do we pursue? Those nearest to us, or those at a distant monastery? As I stated, I am in favor of taking the nearest encampment. We would have an advance team enter their territory to rout them out, and other groups establishing a perimeter to catch any who try to escape. Krazok, for example, can take his forces to cover a southern and western perimeter. Captain Kesten can appoint others in good vantage points along the northern and eastern perimeter and do the same. I will accompany an advance team to beat the bandit bush."
"Are there others who will volunteer with me? Or is there a convincing argument to head straight for the monastery instead?"
Krazok Vell Firesource
War Party
"If they drop their weapons I will not slaughter them. If they then pull a dagger and try to get me again, they will not breathe another minute. I thought this was a war party, who is coming from the East, West, South, and North. I think we have enough bodies to show our forces as such. Half will likely throw their weapons down and surrender or flee.
Perhaps not military service, laborers or slaves for a time. But that is what we would do. Do we really need to hang them, can't we just cut off their heads?
The Nearest encampment would make sense, then work our way South. I will take my brethren and will secure the south part of the encampment."
Rekka the Rat
Rekka sleeps through all the fun! Zzz. Sleepy rat.
Klaus Mandrake
So much for Krazok being a monster. "Well, even unarmed men can be dangerous," he says, with a sly and secretive little smile, but doesn't elabroate. "If you think that all of us rushing in at the same time will guarantee none of them escape, then fine, we can blitz."
As to the manner of hangings or beheadings, Klaus handwaves it. "Hanging them from the trees or beheading them and sticking the heads on pikes is apples and oranges. Both are fruit that wards away repeat offenders."
Krazok Vell Firesource
War Party
"Okay, sounds good, we will figure out any more logistics through the day. I think we have it down. Kill all that don't surrender, make an example of the dead. My kin will attack from the South, Klaus and many of the others will attack from the North. We will have our archers on the east and west." He speaks out some of his thoughts, then confirms the plan.

From this point, if you want to talk about or figure out things, go ahead. Though we are going to move on to the next occurance, that wakes up our PCs to Fizzy, Lelouch, Torq, and kitty as they all call her.
