Rekka nods a bit. Its not the combat that bothers her so much as just being so small in light of everything else scampering around. Dragons, undead. Crazy cat ladies. She flicks her tail though, and seems content to stay near Vik.

Bait! Bait!
I welcome you back Fionn, though it may get a bit crowded, but we may need it for this coming battle. Actually not much has happened, we camped at the the potion makers place, rode here, which took about 10 hours. We set up an ambush, got some takers, knocked them out, [Ooooooh, they may have gotten up and went and told on you guys], part of the group did some glowie investigation. [I will leave that up to them to tell.] You have been waiting, the group decided to get some hours of rest, had a woman visit Vik then turn into a wereJaguar, where Fizzy told her to sit down and transform back, and she did. They rested for another hour, Fizzy cooked in that time. Alex disappeared at that time and Sly went to investigate the bandit camp and you are pretty much caught up.

Yay! A Fionn!
"More help would be good, but the more time we spend running around looking for help, the longer they have to get help too when their scouts don't report back."

Sly zips off into the forest once again, Fionn I am going to say you saw Sly zip to the ambush spot traveling like 75 feet per move. Then you see him burst from the undergrowth again and zip this time like 30 feet per move. Do you yell at the others? Do you go investigate?
Xantria Aldori
"These two are just a couple of friends who offered to help with the heavy lifting - Tarek and Maxel." she gestured to the two as she introduced them. Tarek was a tall half-elf, his tanned skin standing in stark contrast to the white hair he kept in a messy, shoulder-length ponytail, a long piece of grass sticking out between his teeth. Maxel was human and towered at least a foot over both Xan and Tarek, his brown hair kept short.
Both were former members of Ureste's gang who'd defected after realising what their boss was really like. While they weren't as skilled combatants as Xantria, both were still formidable bare-handed fighters. While they were ostensibly there to help with carrying and managing supplies, Xan still carried the lion's share of it while the boys only had their own food, water and so-forth.

Sly comes back on the shoulder of what could be called a lizard man, though these have great stature, armor made of steel and extra leather strappings, with spikes out of them. Each one looks armed to the teeth. There are five of them.
Each are riding an avian predator, a stout flightless bird stands upon two long, taloned legs, but it is its axe shaped beak that looks the most ferocious. Two of these birds are red, two are blue, and one is black.
They slowly begin to move to Fionn.
BloodWolven

Probably about 50 feet away, they will be when passing by your spot. Right now they are about 90 feet.
I am assuming that Vik has a readied action, if the new things do an aggressive action you plan on charging out. Same as Fionn.

Mean while, they continue to slowly walk up to Fionn. Either Fionn trots his horse to meet them or they make it all the way out to him.
Another big thing that I have been forgetting to say, and I just saw the map again. There is a river that runs through where the tree lines meet and it flows out past you.
"Hail, human, I hear that this little fellow would like us to meet you." None of the reptilian men have weapons drawn, though their hands are ready to draw if needed. One of them, the one riding the black avian, has a composite longbow out, though no arrows.

Rekka hides in the best bush-like proximity she can find, ears quivering as she listens to Sly and his new friends approaching.

Rekka's nose peeks out after Vik, but she doesn't come all the way out.

Well we shall move forward, I am sure Fionn meets them halfway if not a little closer to the group. So 100 feet from the ambush group. They seem to be Dragonkin, and they search for glory and the small lizard steered them to you. They offer up to have a duel to test your worthiness to have their blades, otherwise they will shove off.

Fizzy saunters out of the brush.
Well met brave folk. You have indeed come to the right place! I have with me my brave Captain of the Fizz, who, if he is willing will duel one of you.
diplo1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
You know I once came across a large warparty of your kind. What a comedy of errors that was! Fizzy straightens up hand on belly sccarf flapping We fought for half a day to a vritual standstill, before I noticed the insignia on the sword hilt of the leader who I dueled. Then I realized that he came from the same clan as a lovely young Dragonfolk whom I had saved from certain death only a week prior! Well lets just say that the laugh we all got from that was substantial. But the end result was that they promised to render me assistance should I need it in the future. I know that you are not that clan, but perhaps you would like to honor their offer?
Bluff-you know because Fizzy can't help himself1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29

Fizzy you can tell that they are buying it with their heads shaking and looking at each other. "I Krazook Vell Firesource, leader of our hunting party accept your offer!"
He steps down off his axebeak, he extends his arm to Viklop.
Rekka the Rat
The rest of Rekka's nose peeks out, and the small rat comes scuttling out to sit on the sidelines in case she needs to heal Vik

The dragonkin smiles. It then nods in appreciation that you know how to be honorable in a meeting before a duel. He does not let go of your arm though, "What are the terms of the fight for I think I may have the advantage." He is three feet taller than you and much more muscled. He appears to have a breastplate on, with leather pauldrons, iron bracers and gauntlets, though it appears that his natural claws come out of the gauntlets. You can see a few javelins poking out from behind him, a few daggers here and there, a pick on his side, with a few boas. On his mount there are at least 8 large weapons.

"If you win, my blade and my hunting pack will join you until the new moon rises." Which is about 2-3 weeks. "If I win, I take your blade and a shiney from your group."
Viklop "Vik" Kolavar
Arrr..sorry, the system has eaten my post twice now!!!
"I agree to your conditions. Shall we fight to first blood, or perhaps until one of us yields? I leave it up to you to decide, as you are the challenger."
If possible, before we actually roll for initiative, I would like to make a Dazzling Display to demoralize the dragonkin (if that is even possible)
Rekka the Rat
Rekka thinks about casting guidance, eyeing the men to see if they're paying any attention to her.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
BloodWolven
|
Rekka, you don't think they are paying you much attention at all.
"You may choose what weapon we use, or is there no restrictions to the weapon? Shall we be able to have assistance from out allies in the magical sense? I think we shall duel until one of us yields. Any other conditions you would like to interpose?"
Viklop "Vik" Kolavar
I believe the duel should be with swords, but I will allow that not all warriors train with such, so will concede that you may use the weapon you are most familiar with. As for magic, I believe that this should be a fight between the two combatants, but will again concede a small amount of external assistance. My armour and weapons are mundane with no enchantment. I believe that my friends my each wish to assist as they will. Do these terms meet with your satisfaction?"
Rekka the Rat
Rekka comes creeping out of her bush, since she's allowed to help, and finds a spot to sit nearby, cleaning her whiskers with her paws in a very ratlike fashion.
