In other news New Zealand went to Lockdown level 4 last night. New cases have showed up in the north with the Delta strain.
As my parents are both over 80 and not in great health I'm busy making sure they have all they need since the lockdown was so sudden. So no update sorry.

This coming Wednesday through Sunday my posting will be extremely slow to non-existent as I will be at Gencon in Indy and then two weeks after that for the same days it will be slow again for Origins in Ohio. I may be able to sneak some posts in but I wouldn't count on it.

Just had my first shot of vaccine and it was fine. No real problems but I'm suffering from a headache so no update as I'm going to enjoy some bed time.

I think I've had Colwyn short-changed on a language all this time. I think I was counting Common as one of the two he'd get from his Int bonus.
GM_DBH - unless you have any input you'd like to offer, I was either going to include Sylvan (under the assumption that Melianse has been tutoring him) or Dwarven thanks to a fence he used to work with during his criminal days.

I've been out most of the week helping my parents and will be staying with my father all next week while my mother is in hospital.
So just letting you know that next week will most likely be very quiet.
Gonna be spending all weekend moving a bunch of stuff and won't be available until Monday.

Just to let everyone know things went well and my mother comes home tomorrow. I'll be heading home over the weekend once she's settled in.
Still a few things to take care of out in Waikanae but that will only take a day trip or two next week.

I don't want to go against Colwyn's clever plan, which seems to be working. It makes sense that he would send the spriggans on ahead to clear out, but maybe he wants to travel with them. Or something I haven't thought of.
Basically, it's all Colwyn's fault.
I'm stuck between paladin imperatives: Lawful imperative to work with the ruler's plan, vs. good imperative to destroy supernatural evil creatures.
Zelera would rather wait for them to start coming out and pick em off one at a time since they are a threat. But her morality is always questionable at best and it's really Colwyn's call as the leader anyway.
So, while I agree that our characters will follow our Ruler's lead, I don't think it's fair to put all of this adventure's decision-making weight on one player's shoulders. We generally should make decisions as a group.
It's just that in *this* case, the PCs' leader is the one who is bluffing the bad guys, so I don't want to get in the way of what he's trying to do.
Niadroub has the right of it. My plan was to let them go off ahead, wait a couple hours for them to clear out, then move in so we can investigate in relative peace.

In other news my computer has died on me. I'm doing this with a very old computer I dug out of storage. It doesn't have all my files I'm afraid so updates will be delayed for a day or two.

Good news. It's been repaired and I shall pick it up on Wednesday. So we're back in action.
No update tonight. Father is back in hospital.
Monday night my father was rushed to hospital with rectal bleeding. It was touch and go for a while and I ended up staying the night just in case.
He's slowly recovering but is still in a serious condition, not helped by how irrational he's become. So I'm spending most of my day either at the hospital or helping my mother.
He should be well enough to leave hospital by the end of the weekend and move back the retirement home. Which means I should have the time to get things moving again.

An update. My Father had a relapse over the weekend, but recovered. There was a chance of him being released today but the Doctor said no to it.
Chances are he will be released tomorrow or Wednesday hopefully.
The family want him to go to a rest home but he's being a s#&# and refusing. So I may need to go out and assist if he can't be reasoned with and he goes home.
