Welcome Isaac.

So when it comes to equipment I assume whatever is not crossed on the loot list is available. If taking, say a cloak of resistance +1 from the stash mean I would take less of a share of the gold?

This is the first time I've actually had it come up since I go into this game so I want to make sure that I know how it all works.

Welcome, Issac!

....

Regarding equipment, items that are crossed out have been claimed. Therefore, if it is not crossed out, then it is available.

We've been handling items and gold separately, so claiming a cloak of resistance does not affect your share of the gold.

If you do claim an item, or withdraw your share of gold, please amend the spreadsheet as appropriate.
If you cannot edit the spreadsheet, please let me know so I can make the necessary edit.

Alright, took the cloak of resistance +1, I was able to edit it alright.

When it comes to spending the money how readily available are things?

Are you sure you want to do that?

Restov is close by and is a large city, so up to 8000gp spending.

What is the population of Thornford anyway?

Colwyn.

This is a reward for how well you are role playing your character. Your impressive diplomacy intrigued a Nixie, one who doesn't have much experience of humans, and what she did have was mostly negative until Colwyn the silver-tongued arrived.

How it continues is up to you?

It's good role playing, Colwyn has grown from his humble start as an outlaw to becoming a good leader for your land. It's been gradual and believable. Very enjoyable for a GM.

I've had something like that happen to a character of mine in a live game of Ironfang invasion we're playing ATM.

Started out as a footloose craftsman type and when things went bad he was helping out, but he always had in the back of his mind. 'If it gets too bad I can leave. There's nothing holding me here."

Then he fluked a couple of nat20's on Diplomacy rolls. Rallied a town behind the party and they succeeded at driving off an invading army.

All of a sudden people respect him! He was given a house in the town! I played that as his moment of change. He's now a devoted protector of the town and wants to be someone who is worthy of their respect.

It was all natural and he's one of my favorite characters.

A shame it's a campaign I'm not enjoying. Ironfang invasion is the worst AP I've played. Puts you on a railroad, and then bars the doors to stop any chance of you doing things your way.

Male Richard's Map Vig 6, HP: 46/46, AC: 21, FF: 17, Touch: 15, CMD: 20 CMB: +6 Fort:+4, Ref:+10, Will+6, Initiative +4, Per +9, SM +9

Colwyn's good fun, his superstition is great too, being afraid of certain items in case they are cursed.

I'm having to adapt the middle of the first book of Ironfang quite heavily I'll admit. The players want to perform actions outside those listed like foraging so I've been considering how to do that in a balanced way. I've also houseruled the shepherding thing... RAW just let one wander off and set the guy to rounding animals up. The DC ramps up way too quickly. Or let the characters build some barriers to hem them into an area.

Probably they were immune in 3.5, but I recall that Pathfinder took away a lot of the restrictions around sneak attacks.

I still have rules from 2E rattling around in my head. I'm not looking forward to learning PF2E.

Blindsense 30', so if you're close enough to sneak attack, you're close enough for it to sense you.

Done

Thanks Richard.

So FYI, my work has blocked Google Drive for security reasons. There was a brief period where this wasn't the case, but it's on lockdown again. So this means that I either update the maps from home or from my phone.

Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except that this campaign uses Google Drawings, and there isn't an app for Google Drawings and it's not supported with my iPhone's standard browser. Most other Google Drive functions like Sheets, Docs, and Slides have a dedicated app that works fine kinda okay.

So for this campaign, I'm either going to have me rely on help moving markers around or I'll have to do it from home in the evenings. And since I have two small kids, I'm usually pretty exhausted in the evenings which often leads to me forgetting to update a map before I go to bed. Just to let you guys know about the recent inconvenience.
