All,
Congrats on the choice. Please finalize any changes you might have to your PCs equipment, if you require additional equipment, I recommend picking it up now. Now, note in your character's gear that you are carrying one feather token. It is already keyed for a single use (to notify the Swordlords if you die or abdicate the duties of your charter), and so has no sale value.
The terms of your charter to explore the lands is this land are as follows:
Be it so known that the bearer of this charter has been charged by the Swordlords of Restov, acting upon the greater good and authority vested within them by the office of the Regent of the Dragonscale Throne, has granted the right of exploration and travel within the wilderness region known as the Greenbelt. Exploration should be limited to an area no further than forth-eight miles east, twenty-four miles west and sixty miles south of Oleg's Trading Post. The carrier of this charter should also strive against banditry and other unlawful behavior to be encountered. The punishment for unrepentant banditry remains, as always, execution by sword or rope. So witnessed on this 24th day of Calistril, under watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov and authority granted by Lord Noleski Surtova, current Regent of the Dragonscale Throne.
Any questions before we begin? Otherwise, just note "Ready" and we'll go from there. I'd like to begin gameplay as soon as all are set.

Ready, though I thought it was going to be a party of 6?
Thanks for the catch. That was the initial intent, but in sleep deprived choice making last night I only pulled 4 for play. Let me evaluate and add a couple more. Likely a dedicated caster and a support-based PC.
Any objections to Mikam Orlovsk e wizardi and Drektan the Catcolk Bard?
Would like to hear your preference for what you think is missing from the team, but these are my choices.

Set up: As Nikoleta Lebeda is here, Drek will be subservient to her. Now, he IS catfolk, and was raised as basically a spoiled courtier who never had to do any manual labor, so subservient could be an interesting choice of words.
Question: Does the combination of the charter and noble house status provide anyone in the party with authority for claiming the right to find others guilty of banditry? Just trying to figure out the legal angle early. <g> "Strive against" not necessarily being a formal charge of authority . . ..
I have a few additional details to add to the profile, such as a physical description, but I think everything you need is there. Ready enough, unless either of the above points causes a stir.
Edit: I also need to "find a voice" for Drek. Waiting to respond until after Nikoleta should give me a little time to think about that.

as an aside, at all times I'll have the party linked up through the life link ability assuming they are in range.
Do you mean one particular individual? Or are you reading another ability that lets you bond with the entire party? If so, let me know which.
Life Link (Su): As a standard action, you may create a bond between yourself and another creature. Each round at the start of your turn, if the bonded creature is wounded for 5 or more hit points below its maximum hit points, it heals 5 hit points and you take 5 hit points of damage. You may have one bond active per oracle level. This bond continues until the bonded creature dies, you die, the distance between you and the other creature exceeds medium range, or you end it as an immediate action (if you have multiple bonds active, you may end as many as you want as part of the same immediate action).

This game is getting pretty good! I think a linguistics check canaallow you to know what the Urzug is trying to say.
Sure, either that or Sense Motive, since your companions are trying to understand your intentions each time you speak. Feel free to set your own DC for that, I won't impose one.

Ok, going to try Roll20 for mapping. Check out THIS LINK for our mapping. I don't know that it works on mobile devices without paying, nor am I sure what you will have to do to view it, but I'm curious to know how well this does/doesn't work.
Let me know your thoughts below! I'll be out most of the rest of the evening, but will check in before shutting down for the night.

sorry about two of the posts, I forgot to use the "post as" function for the in character chat
I didn't miss it, I just forgot this isn't my lvl 6 oracle. I know what one person is... I'll just keep the bond on whoever closest to me, in particular while sleeping.
Understood, but if you could, please designate a particular person, even if it's part of your signature line, since position is going to be somewhat fluid during a PVP game.
Thanks.

It is, I'm familiar with roll20.
Though we cannot move any minitures unless you authorize us to move them.
Right. If y'all could post in the chat log of the Roll20 page which character you are going to control (since I don't know your RL names), please do so, and I'll assign control for you.
Thanks!

Looks like a non issue, he doesn't have the revelation, only channel energy, according to his Profile page.

Sorry that was a bit snippy, I had been working with two versions of a similar character, and it's going to be what he takes at lvl 4, but in the meantime my apologies for the mistake, in the actual gaming of it all it'd of come up I'm sure and wouldn't of actually been used. I appreciate your vigilance, but if you can use private messages that keeps things from being as embarassing, and also toning the language where it doesn't make it sound like I'm either a) trying to cheat or b) a complete idiot would be great.

I'm going to wait to let others post a bit first, but I plan on having him be there with them when they come so that the old man isn't there by himself among them.
We should certainly have an archer or two keep a readied action for any spell casters among them with the trigger "someone appearing to cast a spell or the end of the initiative pass"

I'm having a hard time not spamming the IC thread more than I have been already.
If the bandits see what they expect to see, then they won't be looking (very hard) for any surprises.
If the bandits see something they don't expect to see, then they will be far more cautious, and looking for other things they don't expect.
Everybody saying they want to be visible to the bandits when they arrive are (not intentionally, I don't think) trying to make this far more difficult than it needs to be.
If the bandits aren't looking real hard, two tarps on the catwalk above their heads are REAL LIKELY to be missed. If they are looking about hard, those tarps are going to get noticed, whether they get stabbed or shot with a ranged weapon automatically or not. If we don't have somebody back there to shut the gate, though, then we can't trap them inside the compound.
Oh, and I LOVED hearing about the horses! Those could prove pretty useful during our explorations!
Ah, well. What happen, happens.
| Drektan |
Yep. If they are that organized and thinking that far ahead, any plan we set up is going to unravel.
They also aren't operating as bandits at that point, either, but as a military unit.

You guys realize Urzug has a fairly short attention span, having an INT of 3. So as long as you tell him that you have a plan to attack, and want him to wait to attack for more effect, or trap, he won't understand what you want, but he will probably understand that you are smarter, and trust your judgement.
