There was a run in Uncanny X-men first series before issue 200 that was a visit to Asgard. Nightcrawler ran around with the warriors three and all sorts of shennanigans.
that sounds awesome!
There is also a few good elseworlds by DC.
Gotham by Gaslight more Victorian than medieval but had bats chasing a jack the ripper style joker.
There was another where Bruce Wayne was a privateer named Leatherwing who was running afoul of Joke a notorious pirate.
i always liked Marvel better than DC, but i definitely like the idea of a victorian-era batman.

Back in the day they used to do "What If" comics. That same X-men story line they got trapped in Asgard or some elected to stay (which was the what if aspect of the story). Storm who at the time had no powers was able to wield Thor's hammer (giving her his powers).
Another What if . . . was Wolverine verses Conaan. During the battle with the Shi'ar Imperial guard Wolverine wandered into a portal that took him to Conaan's world. He met and fought Conaan. Wolverine lived out his days in Conaan's world and Conaan ended up in Earth 616.

@Spooky: This is a first attempt at Storm. I need to write up back story and work on Spells. I still have about 4K to spend on scrolls and such. Please have a look.
I went with spending 4 race points to get a total of 19 race points for clumsy flight. She can bolster that with spells as needed.
Spooky GM
Er, have you ever built midlevel characters before? I just ask because you may want to rethink a little bit of what you have here; 13 AC is nothing against a full martial enemy at this CR. Bracers of Armor, the Dodge Feat, and maybe even tweaking your point buy to get some higher Dex.
It's not actually that your RP has to come in under 20, just that you have to pick a race under 20 and then get a flat 10 extra RP to spend no matter what. So, you can up your flight a little better. And maybe we can make a 4 RP purchase to allow you to cast Sorceror spells off Wisdom, which will help you fan your point buy out a little better. You're kind of made of paper right now.
Actually yeah, I'm putting this out there. New Race Enhancer option: If you take two caster classes, you may spend 4 RP to change the casting stat for one of those classes to be that of the other class.

13 AC is scary at any level!
Ooh, that is a nice option. Too late in my character creation to help, but it is nice nonetheless.
I realized all too late that i should have asked if i could use the Stalker class instead of rogue, but rogue is turning out nicely.

One of the things I've been thinking about is if it would be possible to have GR pistols be treated as one weapon for enchantments. This way, I don't have to spend the vast majority of my gold on just them.
I am thinking of them being +1 Holy pistols by the way, as I feel that very much fits.
Of course, I also have been thinking of making Warpath since seeing Days of Future Past last night. BAH!, LOL.
Ororo the Storm
@Spooky: Thanks for the comments.
I was counting on spells + flying for the defense. (Shield+barkskin+mage armor) So buying armor felt like a waste of gold. For practical purposes in a fight I can be at AC 24 + other mischances with some defense spells up. It seemed like saves were the most important buff. I will rework based on your comments.
I realize the downside is loosing rounds to get up the spells.
Spooky GM
@Monkeygod: I want to say "yes', but I feel like that'd immediately and with no extra cost give you way too much mileage on it, so how about this: Your second pistol can be upgraded on the Magical Armor pricing table, up to a maximum of your first pistol's bonus. This would apply to anyone going for two weapon f#*%ery.
@Storm: Yeah, that's the problem. You've got quite a suite of defensive spells, but realistically you're only going to get one of them up at the start of a fight unless you go in with prep time, and that doesn't discount getting ambushed. It's not the most realistic of expectations, and I can't promise you won't suffer for it if that's how you wade in. At the very least, bump your Dex up so you're not completely boned.
@chillblame: No worries.

@gyrfalcon: She is built with the storm druid and storm sorcerer archetypes. Using the storm druid archetype I found, She lost an animal companion, but kept the wild-shape. I was thinking she can and does Wildshape, but I intend to avoid it as a character choice.
I saw the wis based sorcerer archetype, but it seemed too focused on religion, the storm sorcerer archetype blasts +1CL lightning bolts.
@Spooky: I get where you are coming from. I will take advantage of your advice. I didn't want to overstep on my first try. Casting everything off of wiz will help a lot. I will get time later in the week to update.

Spooky:
Here is my attempt at Cat Woman (stats are in her profile). I still plan to work on Black Widow, but I fell in love with this concept while I was researching her. She is a Catfolk Ninja (cat burglar) 8/Urban Ranger 3/Fighter 5. I still need to add power through points and some more gear. I wanted to get your thoughts so far!

Sadly, I only allow one app per person just to avoid things getting cluttered/complicated, so I'd have to ask you to pick between the two. It looks like you've got her pretty well thought out, though.
I'll may just stick with her if you think she would possibly fit your concept/plans. I added Powers and edited the sheet. If you think Catwoman could work, I'll finish her gear and start working on her background.
Spooky GM
@Zoren: All of those work, though some more than others.
@Selina: Yeah, Catwoman works fine for this. Definitely one of the villains who's been heroic long enough for me to be fine with.
@Ptolmaeus: Oh damn I knew there was someone big. I was going to add an "Other (by unlikely DM approval)" field but forgot about it. Will fix that on the next one.
Spooky GM
No, it's fine. You've got Hellboy well in hand and seem to be into it. I'd just put the disclaimer on it because I don't see anyone else managing to be the "Marvel or DC only" exception. Hellboy has a few movies and is well known, but delving into the non-Big 2 stuff any deeper than that could risk some "I don't know who this person is".

A bit sad that someone else is already crunching Squirrel Girl, who is of course the most powerful character in the whole Marvel Universe.
I'm currently thinking of going with Deadpool, Big Bertha, or Matter Eater Lad. Is Deadpool too much of a wildcard to fit in this sort of campaign, or would it be a decent character choice? (Since he's actually teamed up with a fair bit of the Marvel Universe)

Dotting for interest.
Part of me wants to make Barbara Gordan as an Oracle/something. Because lulz. But I'm not really sure how that would work, especially since she's a hacker.
Most likely I'll either end up creating Zatanna as an Oracle/Sorcerer or Cassandra Cain maybe as a Monk/Fighter. Or something including a Rogue.
This also makes me wish it hadn't been a while since I read comics since I actually don't remember a whole lot about either character. And therefore I can't remember if Cassandra ever actually learned to speak...
Victoriana Whitecap
Okay, got an alias created for Deadpool—thinking Deadpool from the end of C&D, when he cleans up his act and becomes an actual proper hero. He's a ninja soldier mercenary with a sordid past, trying to make the world a better place in the memory of his fallen friends and things he's done wrong. He also moves real fast, fights with both guns and swords, does some roguey stuff and creates his own magic-y items.
Anon A Mouse
Ok, I think I'm going with Cassandra Cain AKA Batgirl as a Monk/Rogue. She's going to be mostly a fast, unarmed strikes specialist because I remember this one scene when she was a kid and ripped out some guy's throat with her bare hands. And she's definitely more of the agile fighter than the strength based one. I've started to fill out some details in my profile (will make an alias if selected).
I have a couple of questions.
1) Could I get Versatile Unarmed Strike as a feat? I'm not sure if there's an equivalent in pathfinder, but it lets me deal slashing, bludgeoning, or piercing damage with unarmed strikes.
2) The Student of War prestige class looks super appropriate for Cassandra as it has the whole "reading your enemy" flavor. One of the pre-reqs is "Must have made successful Knowledge checks against five distinct creatures prior to defeating them." Can I assume that I've met that and therefore qualify for the class?
I'm also open to any suggestions of feats/classes/whatever that seem appropriate for her character.
Grixus Nox
So just another question. I'm looking at "gun's everywhere" and can see that with it gunslingers lose gunsmith and gain gun training at level 1. If we take a variant like pistolero or musket master should we lower the level bonus by one to even it out (lvl 1: gain dex bonus, 5: reduce penalty on misfire from 4 to 2, 9: never misfire? Or keep the never misfire at lvl 13?

You'll probably want either Boar Style/Boar Ferocity (likely also Boar Shred in that case) or Snake Style. Boar Ferocity and Snake Style both allow piercing damage with unarmed strikes; Boar Style allows slashing. Boar is much more offensive, focused on demoralizing and inflicting bleed damage, while Snake is essentially defensive, swapping your AC for a Sense Motive check.
Spooky GM
@D-Kal: 1) No, or else I would have put the kibosh on it.
2) They do not, because AoMF applies to all your unarmed strikes and natural weapons. Adding an additional weapon is just additional versatility, not the core combat style.
3) I'd say no, just because otherwise it becomes a pure racial point buy and that could get messy.
@thunderbeard: I thought I had Deadpool in the banned characters list already, hm. No, I put the kibosh on him in the interest check thread, because both he's a bit too unpredictable, and out of fear whomever got Deadpool wouldn't be able to do him right and that's really the main reason to pick him.
@Iron Fist: It is certainly an option.
@Emily: Oracle would be in an NPC support position if someon played her post-Killing Joke. Not really a good place to go. Zatanna and Cassandra are both viable choices. Cassandra did eventually start talking, but uh. Yeah, it's good that you missed that.
As for the feat, go for it. And yes, we can assume any story requirements for presitge classes where the act fits the character anyway are passed. Cassandra's flavour says she would have some decent Knowledge skills and be able to identify things, so go for it.
@Eric: Gah, sorry. As Jubal/Wolverine/Steave can attest from my Wrath of the Righteous game, I am the omnishambles. Will fix on the next one.

Yeah that makes sense. Just trying to stay thematic.
Speaking of, how would you feel about me ditching Acid Dart from the Earth Domain for a Stone Fist power? That's basically the power of the Metal subdomain, but slightly inferior, allowed by druids, and a lot more appropriate than metal fists for Marko.
Also, are there any in-betweens for racial SLAs, or is it just 1/day or at-will? It'd be nice if you could bump the cost by 1 to use it 2/day or something.
